Chapter 187: Master-Disciple Relationship
After practicing for about forty minutes, he was exhausted, even more tired than running fifteen kilometers with a backpack.
At least when he was running with his legs carried he felt that his body was under his control. But now he only felt powerless because his legs were not under his control at all.
Looking at his sweaty body, Gu Jingchen helplessly got up and started to wash it.
It was winter and the dormitory wasn't very warm. However, after spending some time with Su Ying, he felt much healthier than before. He even felt that he was gradually recovering to his former state and wouldn't get sick even if he took a cold shower.
Su Ying didn't get much sleep at night, so she felt a little tired when she went to work the next day.
When Dr. Yuan saw her coming, he immediately turned around to look at Dr. Chen.
Doctor Chen felt a little guilty and murmured softly.
"Teacher, I'm just worried about you. You've been up for a few days."
Dr. Yuan glared at him and walked towards Su Ying.
"Is your family matter settled? Are you back to work so early?"
Su Ying also glanced at Dr. Chen, smiled and said.
"Well, it's almost done, teacher. You can go back and rest for a while. I'll go to check on the patients."
Dr. Yuan has never been a pretentious person. If Su Ying hadn't come, he would definitely not have gone to look for her. But when she came, he didn't hesitate and just piled all the medical records into Su Ying's hands.
"Okay, I'll leave it to you. I'm going to the lounge to catch up on some sleep."
Su Ying's arms sank down under the weight of the medical records, and immediately a young female doctor came over to help her carry the medical records over.
Su Ying took a look at her and recognized her. She was the female doctor who wanted to be her student.
Zhou Xubei also hurried over to help share some of the burden.
"Doctor Su, is your vacation over?"
Su Ying nodded slightly and looked at the direction where Dr. Yuan left. She thought to herself that he should go home to rest now. Why did he want to go back to the lounge?
Doctor Chen stood beside Su Ying and said.
"The teacher stayed up all night last night, performing two surgeries in a row, and he just got off the operating table this morning. He really can't hold on any longer."
Su Ying understood Dr. Chen's intention. He felt sorry for his teacher, so he and the dean went to find Su Ying.
Su Ying quickly caught up with Dr. Yuan, stood in front of him and said.
"Teacher, go back and rest, go home and sleep."
Doctor Yuan yawned, his eyes red from staying up late, and scolded in a deep voice.
"What if I go home and you're too busy? I can still come to you in the lounge. Our department is full right now, but we don't have as many doctors as the other hospitals in Beijing."
"Teacher, how did you get through these days? If you can handle it, so can I. Go back and rest quickly, and then come back to work."
After Su Ying finished speaking, she took off the doctor's badge on Dr. Yuan's chest and put it in his pocket.
"Teacher, if you get sick from exhaustion, our department will be even more overwhelmed."
Doctor Yuan was helpless with Su Ying.
"Hey, I'm going back. If you're too busy, go to my senior brother. If all else fails, go and cry to the dean and ask him to find a solution."
"Hey, I know, you should go back and rest."
After Dr. Yuan left, Su Ying began to make rounds according to the medical records. The rounds that used to take less than an hour to complete took her two and a half hours today. When Su Ying returned to the office, it was already noon.
Zhou Xubei had just come to her with a few questions when he saw Su Ying sitting on a chair and pinching the back of her neck.
"Doctor Su, are you feeling uncomfortable in your cervical spine?"
He put down the book in his hand, hesitated for a moment and asked.
"Can I give you a massage?"
Su Ying turned around and saw Zhou Xubei was slightly stunned.
She leaned back in her chair and smiled slightly.
"Thank you, but no thanks."
Zhou Xubei stood beside her and looked at her with his eyes lowered.
"Doctor Su, you look very bad. Are you tired? Eat something."
As he spoke, he took out an apple from his pocket. It was red and looked crisp and sweet.
"Here, I washed it."
Su Ying didn't take the apple. When she saw Zhou Xubei holding the notebook, she said...
"You can keep it for yourself. Is there something you want to talk to me about?"
Zhou Xubei put the apple on the table.
"Doctor Su, please eat it. Girls should eat more fruits and skin. My family also sent a lot of yellow sesame seeds. I will get some for you when I get home from get off work."
Su Ying quickly waved her hands.
"No, no, if I want to eat, I can just buy it myself. Well, if you have something to say, just tell me."
Zhou Xubei put his notebook on the table, opened it and said.
"Doctor Su, I just have a few questions for you."
Su Ying knew that he had something to do, but Zhou Xubei was very good at handling things, and he was also very enthusiastic when he was in Beijing before.
Su Ying answered his questions one by one. He quickly wrote them down and then lowered his head to think.
