Chapter 193 Emotional Change
Zhou Xubei helped Su Ying take the stomach medicine and supported her.
"Teacher Su, let me help you go and rest for a while. We can go home when you feel better."
Su Ying's face was a little pale, and her lips were dry and pale.
"Thank you. I'll go to the lounge by myself. Please leave work quickly. You've been helping me here all afternoon."
Zhou Xubei frowned and looked at her worriedly.
"Teacher Su, I respect you very much. It's okay. I'll take you to the lounge."
Su Ying forced a smile, pushed his hand away and patted his shoulder.
"Rest at home, I'm fine."
She walked out of the clinic by herself, holding on to the wall as she walked towards the lounge. Her lounge was on the inpatient department side, and she had to walk from one building to another.
The medicine had no effect after she took it. Su Ying felt as if her stomach was being stirred by a stick. After walking a few steps, her forehead was already covered in sweat. She simply squatted down and rested for a while.
Feeling that I had regained some strength, I stood up and continued walking.
But Zhou Xubei followed again and reached out to hug Su Ying.
"Teacher Su, your condition is very dangerous now. If you can't get better, you need to be hospitalized. You can't walk on your own anymore."
Su Ying quickly took a step back and looked at him helplessly.
"Thank you, I'll be fine if I take a few steps."
She knew that her condition was not to the point where she was about to faint or unable to walk, but she was just in so much pain that she was sweating profusely.
If the situation really came to that serious, she wouldn't be so hypocritical as to keep a distance from Zhou Xubei. She would be fine with him hugging her or carrying her on his back. She had to save her life, but she didn't need that now.
Zhou Xubei was worried about her, so he followed her all the way until Su Ying entered the inpatient department and walked to the door of her lounge.
She nodded and smiled at Zhou Xubei.
"Now you can go home."
Zhou Xubei nodded, but he still looked at her with worry.
Su Ying pushed the door open, closed it, and then threw herself on the bed and lay down.
Zhou Xubei stood outside the door, frowning tightly, but his eyes were strange. Su Ying seemed to give him a different feeling.
When they met in the capital, he just thought Su Ying was beautiful and had superb medical skills. He actually admired Su Ying.
When he came to Jiangcheng and saw them again, he felt a sense of familiarity. Perhaps it was because they were all strangers, and only Su Ying was someone he thought he knew, so he couldn't help but want to find her.
But just now, Su Ying had a stomachache, her face was pale, and she looked like a fragile porcelain doll, which made him want to protect her again.
But she was very strong and walked here despite the pain. She was emotionally stable and her eyes were calm. Perhaps it was this calmness that made him develop a different feeling for her.
Zhou Xubei was still not sure what kind of feeling this was, but he didn't want to leave. He wanted to make sure Su Ying was okay before leaving.
Su Ying's mind was confused due to the stomach pain, and she fell asleep in a daze while lying on the bed.
The pain seemed to be relieved when she fell asleep. When she opened her eyes again, the unbearable pain in her stomach was gone, but there was still some discomfort.
She sat up, rubbed her stomach, and felt cold, so she pulled the quilt over herself.
After checking the time on the clock, Su Ying jumped off the bed.
It was already past seven forty, so she had slept for at least an hour. It was completely dark outside, and she hadn't returned home yet. Her mother must be waiting anxiously.
Su Ying quickly folded the quilt again and tied her hair up again to make herself look less embarrassed.
The moment she opened the door, she felt something heavy rolling onto her legs.
