Chapter 230 The Young Couple Meets
Su Ying and Gu Jinghong entered the room where he lived. As soon as she entered, her nose twitched, and then she saw the bed was made.
Gu Jinghong sat down directly and let Su Ying sit on the chair.
"I've been a little tired these past few days and just went to bed."
"Today is the Lantern Festival. Have you eaten yet?"
Su Ying took out the lunch box she had been holding and put it on the table. She walked in front of Gu Jinghong, bent down slightly to help him tidy up his messy sweater, then squatted down to put on his new shoes.
"Su Ying"
Gu Jinghong reached out and grabbed her arm.
Su Ying looked up at him.
"What's wrong? You want to eat in bed?"
Gu Jinghong paused for a moment, then silently put his hand away.
Su Ying bent down to help him put his shoes back on and reached out to support him.
"I brought some dumplings. They were made by the nurses at the military hospital. Today is the Lantern Festival. Have you eaten any dumplings?"
Gu Jinghong stood up and sat down at the table with her, his lips a little pale.
"No, the army sent a bowl of meat over, and I haven't finished it yet. It's a little cold."
As he said this, he stood up and went to look for it.
Su Ying held him back.
"I'll go look for it. Where did you put it?"
Gu Jinghong found the bowl of braised pork from a small cabinet. He hardly touched it, and it was still a whole bowl.
"Why didn't you eat?"
Gu Jinghong smiled.
"I ate a little, then went to sleep."
Su Ying frowned slightly, then looked at him inconspicuously, but didn't see anything unusual.
"You went to bed so early even on the Lantern Festival. Are you tired lately?"
It was actually impossible to eat cold braised pork, but there was no place to heat it up, so Su Ying could only pour a teacup of hot water, put the braised pork into a small teacup, put the small teacup in the hot water, and cover it with a lid to let the lard melt.
She opened the lunch box, picked up a dumpling and fed it to Gu Jinghong.
"You eat first"
Gu Jinghong pushed her arm slightly, but Su Ying insisted on feeding him, so he had no choice but to open his mouth and eat.
He ate a dumpling in one bite, and seeing Su Ying staring at him, he smiled.
"Yeah, not bad, very delicious."
Su Ying smiled.
"Of course I did. I've also secretly tried it. It tastes really good and is quite filling."
Gu Jinghong nodded.
"Yes, it's ready, you can eat it too."
Su Ying picked up another one and continued to feed him.
Chief Gu actually felt a little uncomfortable, and there was a hint of helplessness in his expression.
"I used to need you to feed me because my hands were not very useful. Now I feel better. I don't want you to feed me anymore."
Su Ying thought he didn't like it, so she handed him the chopsticks.
"Then eat it yourself."
Gu Jinghong was stunned for a moment, and couldn't help but clench the chopsticks in his hand. He was just being rude.
Su Ying also took a pair of chopsticks and ate while talking.
"I forgot to bring some vinegar. Dumplings should be dipped in vinegar."
“It’s delicious to eat like this now.”
Afterwards, Gu Jinghong asked Su Ying how she was doing in the military hospital, whether she had adapted to it, and whether she was tired every day. He also told her about the last time he visited her.
Su Ying felt a little regretful when she heard this and moved closer to Gu Jinghong.
"I know Director Kong told me about it after the operation, but I was too busy during that time and didn't come to see you. Today I finally made some time to spend the Lantern Festival with you. You must be busy too, right? I know your division is the main force of the Red Team."
Gu Jinghong smiled and reached out to help Su Ying tuck her hanging hair behind her ears.
"I'm fine, but I'm really busy. I don't have time to come see you."
