Chapter 330: University Registration (2/2)

Su Ying paused and asked.

"Is there any problem with being assigned to your dormitory? The dorm manager said there was an empty bed in this dormitory, so they assigned me here."

The girl moved her mouth, and then she looked at Su Ying with a little more sympathy.

"Well, since you're here, you can stay here first. Maybe it's okay. I'm Zhou Hui, a freshman in clinical medicine."

Su Ying also smiled.

"Su Ying, I'm also a freshman, but I just arrived."

Zhou Hui took a look at the things that Su Ying threw on the upper bunk, gritted her teeth, and said as if she had made a great decision.

"I'll go up and help you clean up."

Su Ying stood up.

"No, I can go up and clean it up myself."

As he was about to take off his shoes, Zhou Hui held him down.

"Don't take off your shoes. I'm wearing slippers. I'll go clean them for you."

After she finished speaking, she climbed onto the bed nimbly. After making the mattress, she leaned over and asked Su Ying.

"Where are your sheets and pillowcases? Are you short of something? Why do you only have so little?"

Su Ying said.

"Oh, I forgot to prepare it when I came. I'll bring it tomorrow."

Zhou Hui looked at Su Ying with some surprise.

"Tomorrow? From your accent, you're not from Beijing. You want to go out and buy it now, right? There's a supply and marketing cooperative outside our school that sells cloth. You can get a piece of cloth and have them sew it on the sewing machine, and it can be used as a bed sheet right away. But you'll also need a quilt cover."

"My home is not far from here. I'll go there tonight and bring it over tomorrow."

Zhou Hui was a little confused.

"Isn't it far? Do you live in Hebei? But that's not close to the capital. It would cost a lot of money to make a trip. It's better to buy it directly."

Su Ying smiled and did not continue discussing this issue with her.

She was not going to tell anyone that she lived in a military compound. She was only 21 years old, about the same age as these freshmen. She didn't want people to speculate about anything. She was just like everyone else, coming here just to study.

She looked at Zhou Hui and asked.

"I noticed you seemed surprised to learn I was assigned to this dorm. Is... is there something wrong?"

Zhou Hui's hands stopped making the bed, and her expression suddenly turned grim.

She was silent for a while, then looked at Su Ying.

"Do you know why there's been only one empty bed in our dormitory for so long? The girls' building is almost full, and ours is the only empty bed left."

Su Ying had just arrived and didn't know anything about herself.

She shook her head, but thought in her heart, if there is something hidden, could it be that the dormitory manager is trying to trick her?

Zhou Hui said seriously.

"Actually, there's a person living in front of this shop, a very domineering and unreasonable person. Her name is Liu Qingqing. She's from Beijing, but she doesn't come to school very often. Even when she does, she picks fights at school."

Su Ying was a little surprised. Are there such students in this era?

"School leaders don't care?"

Zhou Hui sighed.

"Why didn't they do anything? We talked to her several times, but it didn't work. Then the school threatened to expel her, but she wasn't afraid at all. She even slammed the table in the school leader's office, saying, 'Let's see who dares to expel her.' Anyway, she's still a student at the school. She just moved all her things and hasn't been to school in about two weeks."
