Chapter 331 No One Dares to Approach (2/2)

Many people glared at Su Ying, very angry about this queue-cutting behavior. However, when they thought of her being the type of person as Liu Qingqing, no one dared to scold her. After all, Liu Qingqing had never queued for meals before, and anyone who dared to speak would be beaten.

As soon as Su Ying walked to the lunch window, the student behind her immediately handed in her lunch box, fearing that she would cut in front of him.

Su Ying ignored her and just looked at the window and asked the aunt who was serving the food.

"Can I use money to buy food?"

“Yes, but it’s more expensive than a meal card.”

The aunt didn't even raise her eyes, but shook the hand holding the spoon vigorously a few times, and finally pushed the lunch box to the student.

The student held the lunch box, glared at Su Ying fiercely, and found a place to eat.

After Su Ying found out, she turned around and returned to her seat.

The man who was preparing to get lunch later was surprised. He thought Su Ying was going to get lunch first, but she left unexpectedly.

After waiting in line for about ten minutes, it was Su Ying's turn. She spent one yuan and ten cents to get a meat dish, a vegetable dish, and a plate of cold chicory.

She observed it and thought it was a little more expensive than the meal card, but she felt that the amount was still acceptable.

She also ate alone, but there were always people around looking at her, some with amorous eyes, some with expectant eyes, and some with gloating eyes.

However, Su Ying had lived two lives after all, so she completely ignored all those looks. After finishing her meal, she washed the lunch boxes from the cafeteria and returned them.

Then I left the school and went home without leaving the dormitory.

Gu Jinghong hadn't gotten off work yet, and Chen Shuyun hadn't come home either. Surprisingly, only Grandma Gu was at home.

"Grandma, why are you alone? Where's my mom?"

Su Ying picked up the boiled water on the table and gulped down a few mouthfuls while asking.

Grandma Gu picked up the kettle and poured her more water.

"Your mother went out to buy groceries. Some women from the next yard said that vegetables were cheaper in the afternoon, so they came to call your mother, and she went with them."

Su Ying couldn't help but chuckle. She didn't expect that her mother, who was such a socially anxious person, would find friends so quickly.

"Grandma, did you have lunch? How are you feeling today?"

"I ate it. Your mom made noodles for lunch. Your mom's cooking is really delicious. I ate a lot of it."

Su Ying nodded in approval.

"Of course, my mom owns a restaurant after all."

After sitting in the outer room and talking with grandma for a while, Su Ying went into the room to pack her things. She searched for the bed sheet for a long time but found that there was no single bed. It seemed that she had to tear one off.

There were quilt covers and pillowcases, and Su Ying packed them all in bags. She also packed up the lunch boxes and teacups.

Grandma Gu heard the noise in Su Ying's room from the outer room, so she came in to check. When she saw her packing up her things, her face suddenly changed.

"Yingying, what are you doing? Did...did my third child make you angry? You've only been here a few days. Tell grandma and I'll take care of him."

After Su Ying was stunned for a few seconds, she smiled helplessly.

"Grandma, you're mistaken. We're very good friends."

Su Ying put the bag aside and walked over to explain to the old lady.

Grandma Gu was particularly shocked when she heard that Su Ying was going to college.

"Aren't you already...working? And you're so amazing, you even cured the third child's serious illness, so why do you still need to go to school?"
