Chapter 65: Why are you pretending?
Su Ying poured some tea, cooled it, and fed it to Gu Jinghong. He obediently took a few sips and frowned slightly.
"It's good to have some old tea. If you want new tea, let's go home. I didn't bring any for you this time."
Gu Jinghong nodded and took a few more sips from Su Ying's hand.
Su Ying took a handkerchief to wipe his mouth, then picked up her cup of tea.
Liu Yunshi watched the interaction between the two, and her hands hidden under her body pinched her thighs tightly to prevent herself from losing composure in front of Gu Jinghong again.
She took a deep breath and said to Gu Jinghong with a smile.
"Brother Jinghong, the teacher has made new progress in his research. He said that your disease may be curable in the future, so you need to keep your muscles active now. He taught me massage techniques and asked me to take care of you for a while."
Su Ying paused, looked at Liu Yunshi and asked.
"How to take care of it?"
Liu Yunshi seemed to have adjusted her state at this time, and was much calmer when facing Su Ying.
"Brother Jinghong's health is best taken care of by someone who understands medicine. As long as we persist in daily massage, his muscles will not atrophy, and there will be a chance of treatment. My teacher is the most authoritative expert in this field and is also Brother Jinghong's attending physician. Although Brother Jinghong has been away from the capital for the past two days, we have never given up on researching a treatment for his illness, and now we are finally making progress."
Su Ying's eyes lit up, and she subconsciously grabbed Gu Jinghong's arm and asked Liu Yunshi.
"Are you serious? Has your teacher made any progress? Can he perform spinal cord nerve repair surgery? What are the odds of success?"
Gu Jinghong lowered his eyes to glance at the hand that was holding his arm, trying to imagine what it would feel like. It must be warm, soft, and exciting.
Liu Yunshi looked at Su Ying in surprise. Why did she react like that? Spinal cord repair surgery? How did she know about it?
"It seems that you are still concerned and have learned about Brother Jinghong's illness in advance."
Su Ying sighed.
"I still don't know much. The family medical records aren't detailed, and there aren't any recent test results. Previous doctors' interpretations have also been limited, so I can't tell the specifics of his condition. I still need another thorough examination before I can determine a treatment plan."
Zhou Yichen glanced at Su Ying speechlessly and sneered.
"I say, can you be more honest? We're not children. We hate people like you who know nothing and love to pretend. Do you know that in our compound, no one wants to play with people like you? Why are you pretending? Can't you be more honest?"
After he finished speaking, he glanced at Gu Jinghong secretly. This was the softest thing he could say while trying his best to suppress his temper. If Gu Jinghong was not here, he would definitely have severely criticized Su Ying.
She's clearly unworldly, probably barely even in school for a few days, yet she's still analyzing Gu Ge's illness with Liu Yunshi. How thick-skinned can she be to say that? Liu Yunshi graduated from Beijing Medical University and was Professor Fu's student. How could Su Ying compare to that?
Seeing Gu Jinghong's face darken, Zhou Yichen immediately shut up, but his disdain for Su Ying turned into contempt and disgust. People who like to pretend to know everything are the most annoying.
Liu Yunshi said in a soft voice.
"Yi Chen, stop talking. She is Brother Jinghong's wife now. Give her some face."
Su Ying waved her hand.
"No, really no."
She smiled.
"I don't care about face, and I don't mind you all saying I'm pretending to know. I just want to know where your teacher is going to start with the treatment, and how confident he is about repairing the spinal nerves."
Gu Jinghong glanced at her sideways, a hint of tenderness in his cold eyes.
"Once you have completed your certification exam, we will return to the capital, and you can personally visit his office to review the case studies."
