Chapter 113 The Third Level of the Secret Realm: Hidden Trial

Let's see how the pros do it.

[To the expert with the "Eye of Truth," could you please explain the hidden content of the third floor? What level would you recommend for attempting it? My team hasn't even reached the third floor yet.]

Linda took out a torch she had prepared beforehand, lit it, and led the way into the cave. She glanced at the advice on the ladybug and said, "I don't recommend forcing the third level hidden trial. Just use the normal strategy to complete it."

"If you absolutely have to fight... I recommend level 15 or higher."

[Level 15? ??? The monsters on the third floor only average level 8.]

[Dude, your team's average level doesn't seem to be around 15, right?]

Please, please don't let anything happen!

When Linda recommended level 15, the members of the Snow Goose Adventure Team all changed their expressions.

"Why weren't you told about something so dangerous that night?"

Aiko felt a pang of sadness. If Linda couldn't escape the World Tree's secret realm, she probably wouldn't be interested in other men anymore.

It wasn't until Linda left the team that Aiko realized how outstanding this dog was; compared to the others, it was the difference between a purebred dog and a mixed-breed mongrel.

"Uncle Miscellaneous Fish, please don't get into any trouble!" Chrona pursed her lips, put down the potato chips in her hand, and said quietly.

Orlu and Kaine watched the screen with concern, not understanding why Linda was so reckless as to challenge the hidden trial at recommended level 15.

In the corner, a red-haired girl wearing a hood paused for a moment, then muttered to herself, "You can't die at the hands of a monster before I defeat you."

...

Linda held up a torch, illuminating the underground cave beneath the turf.

Descending the moss-covered stone steps, the group filed into a spacious, dark room.

The place smells strongly of earth and is home to many strange-looking underground fungi.

Linda circled around inside by the firelight, but seemed to have found nothing.

"Take it out." He nodded to Kaphni.

The latter understood and took out a black bottle from his pocket.

Linda took it and opened the bottle.

From the perspective of the ladybug, it can be seen that the liquid inside is a bright green color.

It has an extremely high concentration and is nicknamed "Green Nightmare." One cup can allow an adventurer to comfortably spend the night.

Are we going to have to drink inside? We're supposed to be facing hidden monsters next!

[That's incredibly carefree!]

Calm down, everyone. I suspect this green nightmare is a key item.

But I simply can't imagine how to trigger the hidden trial with just a glass of wine.

Linda simply placed the cup on the ground and then did nothing else, waiting quietly.

One minute, two minutes... five minutes passed.

Everyone was getting impatient, wondering if Linda's method was wrong.

“Linda wouldn’t do something he wasn’t sure of.” A hint of worry flashed in Aiko’s eyes. She believed that Linda had his own reasons for doing this.

But she was worried that Linda might encounter an accident in the hidden trial—with that unreliable Kafni and a weak-willed, clumsy little girl, how could Luanweihua possibly conquer the level 15 hidden trial?

A sticky layer of sweat welled up in Aiko's palms. Even if the hidden trial didn't activate, it didn't matter; she only hoped Linda could return safely from the World Tree. After all, no girl who loves pets wants to see them injured!

Another minute passed, and the silence on the screen was broken.

"Wow! The aroma of this wine is so delicious, I can't resist!"

An elderly but excited voice came from the wall.

The natural wall formed by the mud rippled like a phantom, and an old dwarf with a cylindrical body and a large brown beard, about 1.3 meters tall, appeared in everyone's sight.

[These are...dwarves? No wonder they use such a strong liquor as Green Nightmare!]

Is strong liquor the key item to unlocking the hidden trial?

No wonder my team couldn't find anything suspicious when we stumbled into this cave; it turns out it was hidden behind there...

The World Tree Secret Realm is different from the outside world. Here, the conditions for unlocking the hidden trials must be rigidly met. Just like the dwarf behind the wall, even a Rising Sun-level adventure team wouldn't be able to discover his presence unless you lure him with strong liquor.

Linda performed a standard adventurer's greeting and smiled, "If you don't mind, consider this glass of strong liquor a gift from me."

The dwarf in front of me had a long beard, braided into five thick braids. He wore a dark green linen dress, had a large, round, red nose, and stared unblinkingly at the strong liquor in his glass. His mouth was unconsciously open, and saliva was dripping from his mouth.
