Chapter 130 The New Home, and Their Dreams

Linda initially thought nothing of it, but being stared at by several teammates made her inexplicably nervous.

Writing overly cheesy adventure goals must be quite embarrassing.

However, his goal has never changed.

It's the same one as three years ago.

Even with new teammates and a new villa, Linda's goal, or rather her dream, remains unchanged.

Below the poster, he wrote a neat line of text: 'Safely reached the summit of the World Tree.'

"Oh~ it's still that rented apartment? You're not shy and don't dare to take a real photo, are you?" Kaphni hummed as she took the quill pen.

“No, adults have long since passed the stage of being shy,” Linda shrugged.

Lulu's gaze softened, like a pool of spring water, as she silently looked at Linda's profile.

The three team members wrote down their adventure goals in turn.

Kaphni: 'Defeat the Demon King and save the world!'

Monica wrote: 'Adventures with the Captain.'

Lulu held the pen, hesitating for a long time, torn between writing something random or writing down her true dream. This echoed Kaphni's words—a little shy, she was caught off guard.

“Go ahead and write it. No one will laugh at you,” Linda said earnestly.

With his encouragement, Lulu nodded her little head, mustered her courage, and began to write after Monica's words.

Become someone everyone can trust.

Linda and the others looked at Lulu with surprise. Although their gazes were not malicious, they still made Lulu blush with embarrassment. She said in a deliberately cold tone, "What, is there a problem?"

“No problem.” Linda thought for a moment and said, “I think it’s a fantastic dream.”

"Monica agrees, Lulu, you're so cool!"

"Tch, we're all adults, this is so embarrassing... Waaah!"

Kaphni wanted to make a sarcastic remark, but Linda struck her on the forehead with a palm strike, making her scream in pain.

"Damn it, you're treating me differently, aren't you!"

“In my team, you’re the lowest-ranking person. Get that straight!” Linda said.

"Huh?! I'm going to steal every last bit of your underwear!"

"Pfft." Lulu couldn't help but laugh when she saw them bickering. This small laugh caught the attention of Linda and the others. Monica innocently said, "Sister Lulu just laughed."

"No." Lulu said with a straight face.

“He definitely laughed,” Linda said.

"I said no." Lulu's face turned bright red.

...

2 a.m., in the study.

The magic lamp was on, and Linda stretched and rubbed her sore eyes as she sat at her desk.

On the table were two stacks of strategy guides.

One was from Isa, and the other was a simple guide made for Phyllis.

Looking up at the exquisite magic clock, no bigger than the palm of her hand, Linda sighed, "Another all-nighter."

After leaving the third-floor lobby, the team members went to wash up and go to sleep, while he had to finish making the strategy guide.

Knock knock.

A knock came at the door.

In the dead of night, in a room as bright as day, with a headache... all of this gave Linda a sense of déjà vu.

“Come in,” he said.

A girl with short, light blue hair pushed open the door and entered. There were glistening beads of sweat on her cheeks from exercising. She was wearing a black crop top, and her waist was slender but full of explosive power, with the outline of her six-pack abs visible.

The person who walked in was Lulu, carrying a round black tray with a cup of hot milk on it.

"It's good for your health." Lulu placed the milk on the table.

Linda held the cup; the temperature was just right, not too hot, but not too cold either.

The other two team members were asleep. In the quiet of the night, in his own bedroom, Linda stared blankly at the petite orc girl in front of him. A strong primal urge erupted within him, and he wished he could get rid of the title of single old mage tonight.

"You're not going to lose your temper, are you?" Lulu glanced at him indifferently, extinguishing her raging flames.

That's right. They're his teammates, and the kind who keep their integrity. They wouldn't do that so easily.

Linda realized he had made a blunder, coughed, and pulled up his pants to cover it up. He finished his milk, wiped his mouth, and said, "I have something I want to ask you."

"Tasia...Do you know where Tasia is?"

Lulu frowned. "Why should I ask her?"

"If I remember correctly, after you left the Primal, the next one to leave the team was Tasia. She hasn't contacted you?"

Linda needs to increase the number of members in the Phoenix Flower organization, and the most likely veteran member she can find right now is Tasia.

"No. Tasia doesn't get along well with any of the team members," Lulu said self-deprecatingly. "She's probably even worse off than me."

In the beginning, Tasia was Linda's personal maid, taciturn and only obeying Linda's orders.

When they met in the corridor, the robot didn't even greet them; it was a magical robot that was a perfect match for the captain.

Lulu observed Linda discreetly, and when she caught a glimpse of regret in the captain's eyes, her resolve hardened.

Even if she knew where Tasia was, she couldn't tell Linda!

Because... Tasia is probably the only one who, even after being kicked out of the team, doesn't hold a grudge against Linda.

Those maids with mental problems would only think that this is a test from their master, and they would always long to see their master and receive his reward!

The other team members returning to the team is fine, but Lulu doesn't want Tasia to become Linda's teammate.

"I've taken the cup away. You should go to sleep soon too."
