Chapter 183 Legendary Item: The Dawn Church's Wishing Log

The carriage followed a winding path into the deep mountains and forests, into an old castle.

The place was covered in dust and cobwebs, and the furniture was rotten, making it look like no one lived there.

Black Crow tied Linda and the other two together and dragged them into a tunnel leading underground.

Two soldiers stood guard in front of a large steel gate.

"Dawn will guide us forward."

Black Crow and the two warriors exchanged solemn salutes.

Next, the three members of the Phoenix Flower were taken inside and locked in a small room with white walls on all four sides.

Linda closed her eyes and listened to the sounds around her:

"These people are S-class superhumans, Black Crow, are you sure?"

"Yes, the ceremony can proceed. Please inform His Holiness the Bishop immediately, otherwise we'll have to wait another year."

"Good! Black Crow, you've done a great job. If this succeeds, you'll be promoted at least three ranks."

"Ha ha ha ha."

The sounds of chatting and footsteps gradually faded into the distance.

Linda's plan went smoothly.

About six hours later, that afternoon, the bishop arrived in a hurry.

Through a transparent glass wall, Bishop Marshall looked with delight at the three people, Phoenix Flower, who were tied up inside.

Bishop Marshall was a short, bald, white-bearded old man dressed in a white ceremonial robe.

He couldn't help but stroke his beard and laugh: "Black Crow, you've done a great job. The hearts of these three will be the best materials for the ritual!"

"Your Excellency flatters me." Black Crow curled his lips into a smile, more difficult to pull than the trigger of a musket. He clapped his hands and summoned two servants. "Go, dissect those three inside. Remember not to damage their hearts."

"yes."

The waiters entered the room, each carrying a small knife.

This was a solemn and dignified ceremony. In addition to the high-ranking members of the Dawn Church, 20 A-level superhumans and 5 S-level superhumans also arrived at the scene to ensure that the ceremony would go perfectly.

These extraordinary individuals appear no different from ordinary people, but they usually disguise themselves as various identities and lurk in the dark city.

Today, they gathered together in high spirits, awaiting the moment to meet the goddess of dawn.

Bishop Marshall looked at the extraordinary individuals with great satisfaction.

It took decades of church operation to accumulate these elites.

Even if the supervisory bureau intervenes today, they cannot stop the ceremony from taking place.

With so many extraordinary individuals gathered together, they can be considered the most powerful force in the Dark City.

The success of the ceremony is just around the corner!

"Your Excellency, please be careful, those three... seem to have woken up."

S-class superhuman, 'Steel Shield' Jer, stood forward with his towering body to protect Bishop Marshall.

"He can wake up?"

Everyone marveled at this.

The three kidnapped individuals had already been injected with large amounts of sedatives.

Even an elephant couldn't wake up.

But they actually stood up and broke the ropes binding their bodies.

"A physical combat type superhuman? Hehehe, I really want to know what the heart of such a person looks like."

"Even the strongest physical body is no match for a knife. In front of me, the S-class superhuman 'Claw' Mao, they are as weak as rabbits."

"They're so young, they clearly had the potential to reach SS rank in the future, what a pity."

Among the core members of the Dawn Church, some wore smiles, while others expressed regret.

It's like watching an animal in a cage.

Whether those poor sacrificial offerings roar or meow, they can only provide them with cheap emotional value.

Bishop Marshall chuckled. "Jel, you're being overly cautious. This glass wall is made of extraordinary materials; even if ten mammoths charged at it together, it wouldn't be able to break. Any extraordinary person trapped inside would be helpless and doomed."

"Since these three little guys refuse to obey, we'll have no choice but to inject poison gas."

Bishop Marshall said regretfully.

No one cared about the two waiters who entered the small room; they were destined to die with Linda and the others.

However...

A snap.

Linda took out the Azure Sword from her spatial ring and gently swung it forward.

That glass wall, which gave the members of the Dawn Church boundless confidence and was hailed as indestructible, was split in two by Linda's sword.

The shattering of this wall was tantamount to the collapse of the worldview of everyone in the church.

"What!"

Bishop Marshall's wrinkled face tightened, his mouth agape in disbelief, and he pointed tremblingly at Linda: "Stop...stop him! Quickly!"

"Protect the Bishop!"

Steel Shield Jell raised his arm and shouted, crushing a white magic gem.

Power instantly filled my entire body.

Jel cast the spell 'Iron Armor'.

A beautiful suit of armor fits tightly onto Jel's body.

This armor was incredibly tough on the enemy, but to Jel it was as soft as clothing, weightless, and did not hinder his movements in the slightest.

With this armor, Jell can defeat the strongest beast on land with his bare hands: the king of the land, the polar bear, weighing over two thousand pounds!

"Die!"

Jer grinned maliciously and pounced on Linda like a giant.

"Get lost."

Linda kicked out in annoyance, like kicking a sandbag.

With a loud bang, Jell's steel armor exploded, revealing his flesh underneath.

His entire body was bent into a shrimp-like shape. The terrifying impact caused Jell's eyeballs to bulge out and become bloodshot, making him look like he was about to explode.

Jer flew back to where he came from, and even stumbled and rolled dozens of meters away.

Finally, it crashed into the wall cabinet, causing the bottles and jars on it to fall down with a clattering sound.
