Chapter 294 Defeating the Iron-class, Turning the Tables

Both Lia and Eiko are Star-Rank.

Linda also crushed the level 28 Grek, giving Minnie's adventure team a chance to vent their anger.

All that's left in the Flame Adventurer Team is Captain Dennis.

"Damn it, damn it!"

Dennis, his face bloodshot, brandished his spear, his shirt burned to ashes, his mind on the verge of collapse.

Dennis felt immense pressure dealing with Leah, who had just reached level 30, and was easily knocked down by her greatsword if he wasn't careful.

"Is it okay if I don't get involved?" Lulu, who felt she had nothing to do, walked over to Linda.

“Given Leah’s personality, she’ll probably get complaints if she helps without permission,” Linda shrugged. “Just wait and see.”

The two looked at the battle.

Leah was only level 30, but her combat talent was clearly superior to Dennis'. Her movements were like those of a nimble hummingbird. No matter how fierce Dennis' spear attacks were, Leah could always dodge them by the skin of her teeth and then strike Dennis with a sword.

Including the fallen members of the Flame Adventurer Team, everyone quickly realized that if Leah's level were equal to Dennis's, the latter would definitely lose.

But in the current situation, Dennis has the upper hand.

As Lia reached level 30 for the first time, her body had not yet fully adapted to this new power, and all her equipment was below level 30, so she didn't have the gold to replace it.

Even though his combat skills are far superior to Dennis', his ability stats are significantly lower.

"Piercing Strike!"

Dennis took more than a dozen hits before finally finding a sliver of an opening.

The spear, swirling with swirling air currents, slammed into the life barrier in front of Leah's chest with a thud.

Lia reacted extremely quickly, gathering her fighting spirit into a single point to resist the attack.

If one is caught off guard and their fighting spirit is evenly distributed across their life barrier, the barrier will not be strong enough, and like a layer of gel coat, it will be pierced into the body by Dennis's spear.

In severe cases, it's possible to be stabbed through completely.

Once you reach the Star Rank, even sparring becomes very risky.

But Leah dealt with it very cleverly, softening the rest of the life barrier and channeling her fighting spirit to the spot where Dennis attacked her, making the barrier there as hard as iron.

With a thud, Lia flew backward, adjusted her body in mid-air, and landed steadily on the ground.

Despite her pale face, she was basically unharmed. Linda only saw a number -500 appear above Lia's head.

A semi-tanky heavy swordsman like Leah has a minimum of 6000 HP. Once she reaches the Star Rank and equips herself with a full set of level 30 gear, she can probably get close to that.

"I could have dodged it, but I made a mistake."

Leah stomped her foot in annoyance, still reflecting on the battle that had just taken place.

Not far away, Dennis, holding a long spear and panting heavily, looked on incredulously as he saw all the members of the Flame Adventurers being defeated.

[What's going on? Lia and Eiko from White Dove City have both reached the Star Rank?]

[Their fighting strength is a bit over the top; I feel Captain Dennis will lose!]

Are those two adventure teams really Rock-level?

A heated discussion broke out in the hall of the Adventurers' Guild in Red Peach City.

And at the scene.

Minnie quickly walked to Linda's side, helped up her injured bald teammate, and the two bowed solemnly:

"Captain Linda, thank you so much! Otherwise, our adventure team's resources would definitely have been snatched away by Dennis today!"

“It is only right to fight against foreign enemies together.” Linda helped Minnie up, then looked at Dennis, who was leaning on his spear and panting heavily, and said coldly, “Hand over the resources. I don’t want to repeat this a second time.”

"Tsk."

Dennis was filled with resentment, but Lulu's icy gaze was fixed on his throat, sending chills down his spine. The werewolf with the light blue hair posed a greater threat to Dennis than Bilia!

Dennis glanced out of the corner of his eye and saw, besides Leah and the werewolf, a grinning blonde mage...

Two Rock-level squads with three Star-level members—Dennis had never heard of such a thing before!

He looked at the silver bracelet on his right wrist and felt so regretful he wanted to vomit blood.

Losing resources is secondary; losing face is what Dennis finds most unacceptable.

The adventure team that always robbed White Dove City was the one from Red Peach City; when had they ever reversed roles? If they had encountered the White Dove Adventure Team, Dennis would have had to admit defeat, given their superior strength.

They happened to be two rock-class vessels.

Those newspapers that are good at hype and attracting adventurers' attention will definitely write a lot about the levels of both teams, describing the Flame Adventurer Team as the laughing stock of the year!

"It seems you don't want to hand over the resources."

Linda sighed helplessly, "Lulu, go beat him until he can't move, then we'll take the material bracelet off ourselves."

"Wait a minute, I'll give it to you, I'll give it to you!"

Dennis was sweating profusely with anxiety. He saw Lulu don the Azure Shield, and with the support of Echo's Light Arrow from behind, she charged forward with a gust of cold wind.

"Cage of Light!"

Aiko aimed at the constantly dodging Dennis, rapidly chanting a spell.

A square cage made of golden bars descended from the sky, trapping Dennis upside down inside.

Then it tightened rapidly, trapping Dennis in place, unable to move.

"Wait, wait a minute!" Dennis shouted in a panic.

He looked up and saw Lulu leaping up, blocking out the sun; her gleaming claws made it feel like winter.

A chill crept up Dennis's spine and into his brain, his eyes widened, and the feeling of weakness in his body grew stronger.

This werewolf is too fast, even faster than this level 33 spearman!
