Chapter 30 I told you to leave, and you actually did?

"Well, thank you very much, Captain." Linda smiled mockingly.

Even if they didn't achieve great things, they still put in a lot of hard work.

It turns out that in Leah's eyes, he really was useless.

Those strategies she stayed up all night to create were probably no better than scrap paper to Leah.

Linda felt once again that leaving the team was the right decision.

As he thought to himself, he said to Kaphni, "The matter is settled, let's go."

"Oh." Kaphni yawned and got up from the sofa. She glanced at Lia, who seemed a little restless, and said teasingly, "Former Captain Xueyan, are we leaving?"

"etc."

Leah snapped the book shut.

She looked at Linda with a gloomy expression:

"Is that all you wanted to say?"

"Uh, what else?"

"Still pretending? I've seen right through you."

Leah gritted her teeth and strode over aggressively.

She was genuinely angry.

In the past, Linda would say a lot of things, and she would reply with one or two words.

Now he ignores her.

They keep saying "um," "uh," or "otherwise" all the time.

Are these words appropriate to use when addressing a team leader who is your direct supervisor?

Leah believed it was time to bring things to a head.

She walked up to Linda with a belly full of resentment, stood on tiptoe, and angrily grabbed Linda's ear.

"When are you going to stop being so willful? If you don't come back soon, I'm really going to kick you out of the team!"

Hearing these spoiled and unreasonable words, Kaphni, who was standing to the side, immediately laughed and regretted finishing the sunflower seeds.

I've been flattered by Linda for three years and gotten used to it. It wasn't until Linda was about to leave that I panicked.

Given Linda's determination to build a team, there's no turning back now.

She herself extinguished the last glimmer of hope.

"open."

Linda's calm voice contained a hint of indifference.

Like a bucket of ice water in summer.

The shock jolted Leah awake, dampening much of the initial enthusiasm in her head.

"I'm saying it one last time, let go."

"Huh? I was just pulling your ear?"

"Lia said in disbelief."

She saw this as a sign of respect and affection for Linda.

Does she think she'd pull anyone's ear?

A bunch of strange adventurers outside begged her to do something, but she ignored them all.

She thought she was quite familiar with Linda, but it seems she was just being delusional.

Could it be just as Ai Ke said, that Linda doesn't like her at all, and that all the preferential treatment she receives is only because she is the captain of the Snow Goose Adventure Team?

Leah's heart skipped a beat.

These jumbled thoughts made her face grow paler and paler.

The two were locked in a stalemate, and the atmosphere in the living room became extremely awkward.

Leah felt that letting go would be a loss of face. But if she didn't let go, Linda's expression grew increasingly frightening.

At this moment, Lia's entire attention was on Linda, and she failed to notice that Kaphni was slowly walking this way.

When she realized something was wrong, what she saw out of the corner of her eye was Kaphni raising her hand with a cold smile.

Immediately, a crisp snap!

Kaphni's hand hurt from hitting him, and she grimaced as she shook it.

The physique of a thief is indeed not very good.

She looked at Leah, whose right cheek was rapidly swelling and reddening, her face blank and dazed, and said sarcastically:

"Former Captain Xueyan, could you please let go of our teammates? We're in a hurry to get dinner."

Kaphni couldn't stand it any longer.

How good was Linda to that little red-haired girl before, that she was spoiled into this state?

Even after Linda left the team, she was still very polite to Lia.

At the Adventurers' Guild, if it were Kafni, she would throw the certificate of withdrawal from the party at Lia's face in front of a group of newspaper reporters, infuriating Lia.

Upon joining the Snow Goose Adventure Team, he was subjected to all sorts of ridicule, but he never retaliated against Lia, intending to 'endure for a while and let things calm down'.

But Linda's philosophy of life doesn't work with Kaphni.

You only know how exhilarating it is once you take that first step!

Kaphni was so pleased with the little red-haired guy's stunned and dumbfounded look that she almost went overboard.

In the realm of gods, Kaphni was timid and submissive, but upon arriving in this other world, she did whatever she pleased!

Linda never expected this slap, and neither did Lia.

She released her grip on Linda's hand, stared blankly at her right cheek, her head buzzing, somewhat confused about what had just happened.

My cheeks felt burning and painful.

Seeing Linda's expression change from surprise to indifference after only a second, a bitter feeling welled up in Lia's chest.

As fate would have it...

As Kaphni slapped him, the villa's front door was opened from the outside.

Aiko and her friends, who were out shopping, happened to witness this scene.

Aiko, Kaine, and Chrona were all stunned, unable to believe their eyes.

Leah got hit?

Are you crazy? Someone dares to set fire to a powder keg!

And why is Linda still standing there? Wasn't he always the one responsible for cleaning up the mess and mediating the captain's emotions?

Aiko and the others had a terrible premonition.

Leah was already furious, and then Eko and the others witnessed the humiliating scene, causing her face to flush red. Clenching her fists, she stormed towards Kaphni, shouting, "Who do you think you are, daring to hit me?"

Kaphni, without any restraint, relied on the trace of divine power within her as a trump card, and, holding her large bear, mocked and ridiculed:

"Little redhead, don't assume everyone is Linda who will fawn over you and lick your boots!"

"You drove your teammates away, and now you want them to go back? If you're not fully awake, I suggest you go back to sleep."

"So you're just driven to impotent rage because you can't have what you want? Sorry, but in my eyes, you're just a selfish little brat! The Adventurers' Guild must be blind for letting someone like you become a captain!"

Every word Kaphni uttered pierced Leah's heart like a steel needle.

Leah's face grew increasingly red. Gritting her teeth, she charged towards Kaphni like a fiery red arrow, raising her hand to slap her—

"stop!"

Aiko and the others panicked. Lia hadn't held back; if she injured someone, it would be a huge blow to the Snow Goose Adventure Team's reputation!

Kaine took the first step, trying to stop Leah, but she was too far away to catch up.

Just when the group was at their wits' end, there was a snap.

Leah's raised wrist was grabbed by a large, iron-like hand.

"Huh?"

Leah made a confused sound.

She was incredulous at what was happening before her eyes.

It's like seeing the sun rise in the west, or the World Tree collapsing.

So much so that a look of bewilderment appeared in her pair of beautiful, ruby-like eyes.

Why did Linda stop her?

On one side is a bar hostess she's only known for less than two days, and on the other side is her captain of three years, with whom she has fought over a hundred times.

Why did Linda answer this ridiculously simple multiple-choice question wrong?

Lia pursed her lips, stubbornly raised her head, looked directly into Linda's eyes, and spoke in a slightly hoarse voice.

"You're on her side?"
