Dragons are born with amazing physiques and powerful dragon language magic, and they occupy the top of the monster pyramid.
The Forest Dragon isn't a powerful dragon species, but it's not comparable to a hybrid subspecies like the Lizard Dragon.
Adult Forest Dragons are Epic 5-star dragons, starting at level 40.
A few can reach 49, or even 50!
If it's a level 30 or so lizard dragon, Leah is confident she can take it down.
But when Linda mentioned Senlong, her head shook like a rattle-drum, faster than anyone else's.
Seeing Leah shaking her head frantically, Linda said helplessly, "Can't you listen to what others are saying? I said steal, not rob."
"You think we, a few of us, can steal treasure right under Senlong's nose?" Leah laughed angrily, hands on her hips, one finger pointing at Linda's nose: "I suggest you go home and read more books. You don't even have this kind of common sense, yet you dare to come out on an adventure!"
Linda's forehead vein throbbed. If he weren't lower level than Lia, he would have bound her with the Dark Whip and taught her a lesson. He really didn't know how he had put up with this red-haired dwarf for three years; even he wanted to give himself a Best Employee award.
"Didn't I say that we can't do it alone? We have to wait for those top adventurers to attract the attention of the Forest Dragon before we can take advantage of the situation."
"The main part of the treasure will probably be taken by the Rising Sun-class adventurer team, but the dragon's cave is huge, and with the Forest Dragon eyeing it covetously, some treasures will inevitably be missed. Picking up the rest will be enough for our expenses for the next year! If we're lucky, earning enough gold for two or three epic weapons won't be a problem."
Linda's detailed breakdown plan was made understandable to Leah's walnut-sized head.
"Oh, I see."
Leah clenched her right fist and slapped it against her left palm. "If you had said so earlier, I would have understood. So you were going to steal it."
"That's what I said from the beginning."
"But is it even possible? The Dragon King should be deep within the Dragon Forest, right? The monsters along the way are too difficult to deal with," Lia said with a worried expression. "We can't get in!"
Deep within the Dragon Forest, level 30 monsters roam freely.
One or two is manageable; they can team up to deal with them.
But what about a dozen or dozens?
There is only one consequence.
completely annihilated!
“That’s how it is in theory,” Linda smiled. “Coincidentally, I happen to know a safe route into the depths, and I came here today to verify whether this route still exists.”
"Really?" Leah looked at him with a skeptical gaze.
Ever since Linda founded the Phoenix Flower Adventure Team, Leah has been unable to fully trust Linda. She always feels that if she and the Phoenix Flower team members fell into the water together, Linda would save Lulu and the others first.
Ultimately, the two were just allies. Thinking about this made Leah feel uneasy. Linda was right next to her, yet she was someone else's captain.
The relationship between the two is much better than it was when she kicked Linda out, that's true, but it's probably impossible for it to completely return to how it was before.
Just as Leah was feeling down, Linda said, "So today is the day to verify. If that route isn't there, then give up on going deeper."
Linda had cleared the ten-level Great Secret Realm thousands of times. He had a deep impression of what kind of monsters were scattered there, the places that Senlong frequented, and the appearance of the caves.
This includes a hidden passage.
It is a tunnel dug by a level 30 monster called the Digging Mole, which leads directly to the vicinity of the Forest Dragon Cave.
Later, an earthquake caused the entrance to the passage to collapse, and it fell silent somewhere in the forest.
In the Dragon Forest, the vegetation is dense and the terrain is complex. Looking up, all you can see are the canopies of the orange Mondel trees that block out the sun. It's a large map that's been copied and pasted to appease people.
Identifying directions in such an environment is undoubtedly extremely difficult.
Without any landmarks, inexperienced adventurers would lose their way in just a few minutes.
Here, even the compass is affected by magic. Linda held it in her palm, but the red pointer kept spinning back and forth.
"As expected, we can't rely on this thing." Linda put the spatial ring back, stared at the monotonous Mondel Tree, and her brain worked quickly, comparing it with the 2D map in the game.
"We won't get lost, will we?"
Leah panicked a little.
If they get stuck in Dragon Forest and miss the closing time of the Greater Rift, they will be forced to stay inside for a month—in dangerous areas like Dragon Forest, the use of teleportation stones and return scrolls is prohibited.
During the closure of the Great Mythic+ dungeon, all the magic in the air disappears, adventurers cannot recover their magic and aura, and the monsters in the dungeon become ferocious.
In other words, they couldn't leave the Dragon Forest and were trapped in the Great Secret Realm, facing a near-certain death!
"What should we do?"
The surrounding environment was eerie and frightening. As darkness fell, the Mondel trees in the shadows resembled giants swaying in the wind.
The rustling of the grass in the wind, the footsteps of some unknown monster, and various strange howls... Even though Leah was very brave, she panicked a little and unconsciously grabbed Linda's clothes.
"I understand."
A sudden inspiration struck Linda, and she grasped Leah's small hand. "Over here!"
"Whoa!" Lia was caught off guard by Linda's sudden pull and almost fell. She stumbled forward two steps before catching up with Linda.
Her hand was enveloped by a large, strong hand, her heart pounded, and a jumble of thoughts flashed through her mind.
By the time Leah came to her senses, Linda had already led her to her destination.
A small, sunken pit filled with filthy water, leaves, and large, black clumps of monster feces. Small white worms slithered slowly within the feces.
Leah's good mood was completely ruined, and her face darkened: "Don't you dare tell me that the route is in this pit."
