Chapter 321 Flame Awakening, Starfire Stream Slash

"hiss!!!"

The snake-man chieftain, with only two heads left, shook violently in pain. One spat out water arrows, and the other spewed out flames, burning away the vine dragon. His scimitar slashed furiously at Linda.

clang!

The royal sword and the scimitar clashed, forcing Linda back several meters. The snake-man chieftain's massive size gave him a significant advantage in strength, causing his arms to go numb and his blood to surge through his body, resulting in a slight dizziness.

In theory, a level 31 two-star epic monster requires an entire Iron-level adventure team to defeat. Although Linda is level 32, she has not changed her star-level equipment, so she will inevitably be at a disadvantage in a one-on-one battle.

But in those few moments, he also figured out the snake-man chieftain's background.

It's easy to hurt yourself, but to think you can instantly destroy your own massive life barrier is wishful thinking.

Given enough time, he can wear down the snake-man chieftain.

The only problem is that there are too many monsters eyeing you in the closed Mythic+ dungeons, and you might be surrounded by hordes of treants at any moment.

At least, she had protected Leah and Tasia. A relieved smile appeared on Linda's lips.

"Flame Slash!"

As the snake-man chieftain unleashed his ice spear barrage, a fiery red figure blocked Linda's path.

The greatsword was swung so fast it was impenetrable, cutting all the ice spears in half.

The swordsmanship is rough, bold, and powerful, possessing a violent beauty.

Linda stared in astonishment at the red-haired girl in front of her, who held a greatsword and had her back to him.

Leah stomped her brown boots hard on the ground, leaving a solid footprint with each swing of her sword. Her thighs, encased in black over-the-knee stockings, showed off their muscular lines, like a pair of taut springs.

"Why did you come back? Didn't I tell you to take Tasia away?"

The person who answered Linda was someone else.

Tasia slowly walked to his side, her white magic cannon aimed at the tall snake-man chieftain in front of her, and said:

"Please forgive me for being unable to abandon you and run away. You said that you hoped I would make a choice based on my free will, so I must disobey your orders."

Linda opened her mouth, as if she had been hit by a boomerang she had thrown, and couldn't say anything.

"And what about you? What are you doing back here? You're not even a member of the Phoenix Flower Clan. Aiko and the others are still waiting for you to come back, aren't they?"

Linda glared angrily at Leah.

He noticed that, compared to himself and Tasia, Lia was trembling with fear.

Then why did you come back?

If Leah rushed back for the sake of that pitiful pride, not wanting to be looked down upon, he would despise her and look down on her for the rest of his life!

...

Leah was indeed trembling.

When she walked up to the three-headed serpent chieftain and felt the coldness emanating from the monster's blue scales, she realized that the other party was more powerful than she had imagined.

The monster that stole her left eye and nearly killed her in her nightmare has merged with the three-headed serpent chieftain in this moment.

Leah's eyes throbbed with pain, and her breathing became erratic.

She was stumped by Linda's question.

Looking down at her hands, which were trembling like a sieve, and tasting the almost bitter fear on her tongue, Leah asked herself: Why did I come back with Tasia?

Tasia had a clear reason: to protect her "master." But what about herself? Linda wasn't her "master"!

A burning fire was burning in Leah's chest, and her mind was in complete chaos.

There seemed to be a beam of light in it, but she couldn't grasp it no matter what she did; it always peeked out from between her fingers.

"Hiss!"

The snake-man chieftain saw through her bluster and, with his scarlet forked tongue flicking out, blood gushing from his severed head, he strode over with a ferocious expression.

He raised his massive scimitar in his right hand, while the staff in his left hand glowed with a deep blue light.

Controlled by two separate heads, a combined attack of sword and magic!

Leah's legs trembled even more violently. Seeing this, Linda stepped forward, grabbed her shoulders, and tried to throw her to the back.

This made Leah's heart skip a beat.

She had a strange intuition that if she retreated here, the snake-like monsters would likely haunt her for the rest of her life. If she was afraid of snakes, how could she possibly fight those giant dragons soaring through the sky?

Adventurers who cannot defeat dragons are definitely not considered "top-tier"!

Driven by her impulse and willfulness, Lia pushed away Linda, who looked surprised.

Her fiery red eyes were fixed on the snake-man chieftain in front of her, her voice trembling slightly, but growing more and more resolute.

"You said it before, didn't you? To control that flame, you must walk the path that you believe is right, find what is most important to you, and protect it with your sword..."

"Now, I've found it."

Whether it was protecting Eiko and Oru when conquering the twelfth level of the secret realm, or even now, Lia has only one goal.

Protect your friends and companions.

Also to overcome her own cowardice—Lia gripped the Firebird Feather Sword tightly with trembling hands and shot it towards the snake-man chieftain with a whoosh, shouting sharply, "Watch this, my battle!"

Just like the protagonist in a hot-blooded comic book, in a desperate situation, Leah shouted a shameful slogan and charged towards the enemy.

Concepts like bonds, friendship, and even phrases like "Because we're OO's tail!" leave the villain bewildered, triggering an explosion of their inner potential and completely reversing the tide of battle...

Such a classic scenario would never happen in real life!

Linda felt a chill run through her.

With only 20% of her fighting spirit remaining, how is Leah's head-on confrontation with the Snake-Man Chieftain any different from courting death? Don't think that shouting loud enough will bring about a miracle; this isn't the world of a shonen manga!
