“I don’t understand.” Linda looked out the window and said with incomprehension, “Aiko, why are you working so hard to join the Phoenix Tail Flower? What do you see in me? During my three years at Snow Goose, it seemed like everyone treated me as a tool.”
Linda didn't think he had truly entered the hearts of the three girls during his time with Xueyan. It wasn't until he left that they realized he even existed.
To put it bluntly, this is the classic, clichéd plot of a third-rate comic book—a story of utter regret. Late-coming affection is as cheap as a damp slime gel sleeve in a trash can.
If Eko only changed her mind because she saw the Phoenix Flower Adventure Team become stronger, then Linda doesn't want to, and is unwilling to, accept that.
Although he occasionally felt a stirring of attraction towards Eiko, this attraction originated from his lower body and was a normal physiological phenomenon for an adult adventurer.
Linda likes to hug Monica, Lulu, or Tasia at night to perform various witch purification rituals. Most importantly, they have a spiritual connection. The team members are all people that Linda genuinely wants to protect and cherish.

Aiko shook her head: "I don't regret it, this is my own choice. Linda, I hope you can get to know the real me."
After saying that, Aiko placed the orange cat at her feet.
She closed her eyes, took a deep breath, and with trembling hands placed on the round table, slowly stood up.
The private room was completely silent; you could hear a pin drop.
Linda raised her head blankly and looked at Aiko, who was standing in front of her with a guilty expression.
"Your legs"
"I'm sorry, I've been lying to you all along."
Ai gripped his arm tightly, her eyes dim, her voice soft but clear, like a sinner devoutly confessing to a priest, as she spoke:
"It wasn't just you, Lia, Chrona, everyone in Oru White Dove City was fooled by me. They thought I was a frail mage who could only sit in a wheelchair and had difficulty moving around."
That's not actually the case.
I will secretly peek through the crack in the door while you are asleep to see what you are doing.
They want to find out some shady things you've done to blackmail you.
Another oppressive and deadly silence followed.
Even the stray orange cat felt the suffocation in the air; it kept its eyes tightly shut and refused to wake up from its dozing.
