The belief that adventurers and cultists are irreconcilable enemies is ingrained in everyone's bones.
Being a cult member is not much different from being a "traitor." In fact, it's even more serious.
Leah worriedly wondered if her mother and Davin would be implicated in this matter.
When Fry and the others, who were kneeling on the ground, heard that Auguto had an affair with the Dragon Tomb, they were all terrified, their faces turning pale and trembling.
Linda walked up to the crowd in Red Peach City.
"Hold down Oru, and those who took Kaine and Chrona hostage, step forward."
Linda said coldly.
In a normal battle, losing is losing, and there's nothing to complain about. But he heard that some members of Crimson were taking advantage of their superior position to engage in shady dealings.
Chrona was young and escaped death.
Oru and Kaine are in big trouble.
Both of their buttocks were touched by Timo and a bald man, respectively.
Faced with Linda's questioning, the people of Red Peach City were so nervous that they dared not even breathe.
"Nobody admits it?" Linda looked at them with a half-smile.
A faint smell of gunpowder reached the noses of everyone in Red Peach City.
The powerful aura of the Moon-Rank Adventurer was like a high mountain, pressing down on their hearts and causing a slight feeling of suffocation.
Finally, Timo and Baldy couldn't withstand the pressure and, along with two other swordsman adventurers, walked out shakily.
Bang bang bang bang!
The four of them saw a black shadow approaching, and then a sharp pain shot through their chests, as if they had been struck by a giant iron hammer.
Before they could even react, Timo and his men coughed up blood and were sent flying twenty meters away.
Even the least injured person had several broken ribs and was lying on the ground unable to get up.
He will have to spend the next few months in a hospital bed.
Fry quickly said, "Thank you so much, Captain Linda, for showing mercy!"
Timothy and his companions also looked relieved.
With Linda's strength, she could easily cripple them.
It's incredibly generous of them to expect to recover in just a few months of bed rest.
The four of them expressed their gratitude.
Linda remained noncommittal and stated three conditions without expression.
"I can let you go."
First, the output from your 15th-level resource zone over the next year will belong to White Dove City.
Second, pay the ransom. For level 30, it's 30 purple gold coins. For level 39, it's 39 coins.
Third, everyone is strictly prohibited from setting foot in the resource zone of White Dove City.
Linda: "Agree or disagree?"
Upon hearing this, Frye and the others turned purple with suppressed rage.
That's outrageous! Absolutely outrageous!
The resource output from Greater Rifts is the guaranteed income for adventure teams.
When the World Tree can no longer climb, we rely entirely on the resources from Greater Rifts to survive.
The strategy failed, leaving them severely weakened, and they relied entirely on the resources from the Greater Rift to recover.
With just these words, Fry gritted his teeth and agreed.
The problem is that Linda also demanded a ransom.
Each person must have at least 30 Purple Gold Coins!
Based on the current exchange rate on the black market, 1 Purple Gold Coin = Gold Coin.
There are 115 of them in total.
The average level is 33.
In total, that's about 3800 purple gold coins.
The equivalent amount in gold coins is 49.4 million!
Fry felt as if the world before him was pitch black, and his head was filled with lightning and thunder.
He leaned back and fell into his teammate's arms.
"Captain, Captain, wake up!"
"Captain Zilina, Captain Timo, why are you both unconscious?"
Everyone was on the verge of tears.
49.4 million gold coins is no small amount.
Selling their three Iron-class adventure teams would be enough.
But cash is definitely not enough!
"How about... an IOU?" Frye said dryly after being pinched awake by his teammates.
Linda shook her head, "I only need the money transferred from my savings card."
Frye's lips trembled, but he couldn't utter a single word.
Suddenly, a weary voice rang out.
"This matter was caused by the Mandala family. We'll contribute 30 million, and the rest, Captain Fry, you can split it evenly."
Linda raised an eyebrow and saw that it was the deputy commander of the Scarlet Regiment who had spoken.
Linda had mixed feelings about this adventurer with the title "Thunder Swordsman".
Before today, Davin was a friend.
However, he aided and abetted the evildoer and did not stop Augut.
Linda hadn't decided how to deal with Davin yet, so she nodded and gestured for Tasia to hand over the money.
Three minutes later.
Frye and his companions scraped together the ransom using half gold coins and half an equivalent amount of magical materials.
Davin then used the family savings card to transfer 30 million to Linda.
Linda had already figured out how to distribute these gold coins.
Phoenix Tail Flower takes 40%, while Snow Goose and the other two steel-grade branches each take 20%.
Everyone readily agreed to the proposal.
Without the rescue efforts of the iris flowers, the consequences would have been severe.
Even if Linda takes all the gold coins, no one will say anything.
"After reaching the Moon Rank, I'll need to buy new equipment. With this money, things will be much easier."
Linda thought to herself.
A perfect clear of floor 19 resulted in a three-star legendary item and ten epic items of varying star ratings dropping from the Phoenix Tail Flower.
There's still a considerable gap between everyone having full-rank equipment.
Selling the useless loot and adding the 20 million gold you get shouldn't be too difficult.
The 20th level of the Greater Rift is about to open; the more power you possess, the better.
With a look of utter despair, Frye touched the empty ring on his hand, then led the group, using the teleportation stone, to leave the Greater Rift.
"Linda, Leah, let's have a proper talk next time we meet." Davin sighed. "I'm sorry about what happened today."
After saying that, Davin led the Crimson Men away.
