On the other side, Kafni leveled up along with him, but this guy was so engrossed in counting magic cores that he wasn't mentally prepared. One after another, golden lights fell on his head, and the feeling of comfort and joy completely blew Kafni out of his wits.
For a moment, Kaphni's eyes rolled back, her mouth gaped open and drool dripped from her mouth, and her whole body trembled...
"Are you alright?" Linda kindly cast a healing spell.
Kaphni sobered up a bit, wiped her drool, and pinched the soft flesh between her thighs hard, saying in a daze, "This isn't a dream, is it? How did I suddenly become level 7?"
"Because I upgraded."
"How did you level up? Are you hiding something from me?!" Kafni suddenly realized something and flew into a rage: "You didn't actually pledge allegiance to the World Tree Goddess, did she give you this new skill?"
A strong feeling of betrayal rose in Kaphni's heart.
Linda was surprised by Kaphni's strong reaction and explained helplessly, "It's my innate skill. I gain power after killing monsters, and then I accumulate that power to break through in one fell swoop."

Kaphni thought about it and realized that it made sense.
"As a hero, you are still somewhat useful."
For the first time ever, Kaphni gave Linda a pep talk.
The two put the magic cores into a small bag, which Kaphni carried. Then, they patted the mud off their bottoms and planned to return to White Dove City before it got dark.
Just then, Kaphni suddenly stopped, frowned, and looked suspiciously in the north direction.
There was a huge red canyon, and the heat emanating from the red rocks made you sweat profusely even from a distance.
Linda noticed that Kaphni hadn't moved and asked, "What's wrong?"
Linda glanced in the direction of Kaphni's gaze. The place was called 'Hot Canyon'. Linda remembered it; she used to go there to level up when she played games in her previous life.
It's full of small lava monsters, around level 3-7, with earth and fire attributes. They are resistant to poison damage, so it's not a suitable map for leveling up.
