Another half hour passed, and it grew darker and darker.
Finally, a teleportation beam lit up.
Under the watchful eyes of everyone, a young man covered in blood emerged from the light.
The once deathly silent square has quietly come to life.
The people's sleepy eyelids lifted slightly.
The young man was dressed in tattered black adventurer's clothes, his steps were unsteady, his face was pale, and his chest was heaving like a broken bellows as he struggled to catch his breath.
Only his eyes shone brightly like torches. Even when he staggered, he gave one the intuition that, like a roly-poly toy, the other person would never fall.
The young man was holding something in his hand, and bright red blood was flowing from between his fingers.
“Abner, I’ve avenged Rand.”
With that, he opened his palm, revealing a bloody, black horn.
"This is."
Aberna was stunned.
No one could imagine how Linda managed to kill the mage "Black Raven" amidst a horde of demons and escape. The only plausible explanation is that if Linda hadn't sought revenge for Rand and had instead conserved her strength to flee, she wouldn't be in such a sorry state now.
Kit, Gale, and everyone in the White Dove Adventurers had tears in their eyes. After Rand's death, they all comforted Ebernar, each seemingly stronger than the last.
But how could one remain indifferent to the death of a colleague with whom one has worked for nearly ten years?
Looking at the blood-soaked demon horn, some people roared to the sky, some shed tears, and some showed silent smiles.
Abner: "Linda, can I have that horn? I'll trade it for anything. I want it as a sacrifice at Rand's funeral."
"Of course, I'll just get it back for you ahead of time," Linda said with a smile.
Eberna nodded. "The White Dove Adventurers owe you one more time."
Deputy Commander Kit, in charge of Gale, led the members in a bow.
At this moment, Kami stepped forward and said with a smile, "Linda, welcome back."
"Hmm." Linda looked intently at Kami, the members of the Phoenix Flower team, President Viren, and the concerned crowd in the square.
"I'm back."
After saying that, Linda finally let out a breath that had been holding her in, tilted her head, and fell into Lulu's arms.
The news of the failure of the Phoenix Flower project spread rapidly throughout the South Red and White region.
One after another, tabloid reports were published, using exaggerated headlines to grab attention.
Examples include: "[The Phoenix Flower is defeated, and the captain is beaten unconscious by the demons]", "[The White Dove Adventure Team is wiped out? The truth is actually]", and "[On the 20th floor, White Dove City is in a state of utter devastation]".
Many citizens who were unaware of the truth thought that Linda and her group were doomed.
This kind of thing is rare, but not uncommon. The 20th floor is a giant furnace; whether it's copper or gold coins, you'll find out once you go in and refine them.
"The Rising Sun class is indeed the limit of the Phoenix Tail Flower. It's already quite good that a city more than 200 in the Azure Province can produce a few Rising Sun classes."
"That's right, not every one of the top 100 cities has a 'Dawn-level' adventure team."
"Can't even get into the Ninefold Mountain area, yet you want to advance to the Dawn level? Heh heh heh, I think the Adventurer's Weekly's rating of the Eye of True Knowledge at nine stars is an overestimation."
Citizens from all over the country, after reading these reports, started discussing them and imagined the embarrassing situation of Luanweihua being chased by monsters in Yichong Mountain.
Even McCarty, one of the head instructors of Ice Abyss, had heard of it.
The alluring purple-haired woman couldn't help but frown.
I suspect there's been a mistake somewhere.
If the Phoenix Flower's fighting strength is so weak, wouldn't she just make a fool of herself by inviting her a second time?
There must be something wrong.
McCarty crumpled the newspaper into a ball and threw it into the trash can.
Then I stretched and walked out of the dormitory into a world of ice and snow.
Today's grueling training is about to begin again.
The next morning.
In Xuanfeng City, the Sterry siblings, who were recovering from their injuries, also saw similar reports.
The two couldn't help but feel worried.
Linda was the benefactor of the Sunshine Adventure Team, and they naturally hoped that Linda would be safe and sound.
Sterley asked her family to send a messenger to visit Linda.
Meanwhile, in a small tavern in a certain city, a swordsman with short red hair saw this report and remained lost in thought for a long time.
"Phoenix tail flowers, you must not be defeated by this setback."
This red-haired swordsman is none other than Davin.
Davin left Red Peach City and embarked on a wandering path of cultivation in the wilderness.
Meanwhile, at the Bear Roar Adventure Team's base in Nanyan City, a pair of bear-headed brothers were laughing heartily.
"Well done! Give the Phoenix Flower's arrogance a good thrashing!"
Xiong Xiong said gleefully, "At this rate, they probably won't dare to go into the 20th floor anymore, and the gap between us will only widen. Once Xiong Xiong enters the Sixth Mountain, they'll be people that Luanweihua can't afford to offend."
Xiong Ji, holding a beautiful rabbit in his arms, licked the honey off the rabbit's ears and chuckled, "Maybe Linda will 'plead guilty' with a thick, large thorn cane, asking the two of us to whip him."
"Hahahaha."
The two brothers burst into laughter, sensing that spring was coming for the Bear Roar Adventurers.
It was afternoon.
In Linda's room at the Phoenix Flower Villa.
"Um"
With a tired groan, the young man on the bed opened his eyes.
He scratched his head and sat up, somewhat bewildered.
I saw a small stool in front of the bed, and Lulu was sitting on it, fast asleep next to me.
On a table further away were many fruit baskets and dark red jerky, which contained a rich amount of magical elements.
