The carriage left the wealthy neighborhood.
With the carriage curtain drawn, Lulu, sitting inside, couldn't see Linda and Kaphni, who were carrying several boxes of gifts, passing by her outside.
Linda went back and discussed it, then bought some milk and monster meat to visit the injured Oru.
Lulu was taken by Isa.
Arrive at the Sparrow District, at the small house Linda rents.
When they arrived here, Lulu's expression became very strange.
"Sparrow District, Harvest Road, Adventurer's Express Residential Complex, 3rd Floor, Room 305?"
Lulu silently recited the address Richard had given her.
This is Harvest Road.
This is the Adventurer's Quick Pathway.
Then, Isa led her to the 3rd floor, to room 305.
Lulu was stunned.
So—that 'Richard' and 'Linda' from the Snow Goose Adventure Team are the same person?!
Lulu was a little confused. Why would Richard deliberately lie to her?
"It seems no one is here." Isa knocked on the door, but there was no response.
Lulu silently walked forward.
With a swipe of its claws.
The chain snapped, and with a click, the simple wooden door opened.
Isa looked at her in surprise: "Miss Lulu, what's going on?"
Lulu did not answer; her azure eyes were filled with coldness.
Recalling that fleeting look in the cave, someone's eyes were just like the captain's.
Nine times out of ten, Richard is the person she's looking for.
Lulu laughed in exasperation.
Three years have passed, and the once cold and decisive captain, hailed as a genius adventurer, has become so weak that he doesn't even have the courage to face her.
Her personality also changed drastically, transforming from a lifeless magical machine into a living, breathing person.
What happened in those three years?
Lulu had a lot of questions in her mind.
But she also sensed a fragile, flickering joy amidst her confusion and anger. She perhaps understood why Linda was willing to expose her witch purification abilities to save her.
That 'orc friend' Linda knew, that must be her.
He felt guilty about kicking her out of the team, which is why he stepped in to help.
Escape, hide, dare not face...
'Captain, this is really unlike you!'
Lulu entered the rented room and scanned every corner. It was dilapidated and stuffy, seemingly without even a cooling array.
He disappeared for three years, hiding in this run-down place...
But, we finally found it.
Lulu raised the corners of her mouth slightly.
Even if she had to hold Linda's head down, she would make Linda apologize properly!
"May I ask, what exactly is the relationship between you and Linda?"
Isa, who followed behind, asked somewhat reservedly.
Lulu thought for a moment and said, "Former teammate."
That's alright.
Isa breathed a sigh of relief.
But then Lulu added, "Now... we're teammates too."
Isa: "???"
Sure enough, Linda and this orc girl have some kind of secret relationship!
Why would an adventurer of similar level to her be willing to join Linda's party?
Isa gripped the handbag strap tightly, her hand unconsciously clenching it.
A sudden thought struck her: Could it be that Linda could actually catch up with the Ice Flower Adventure Team's progress through the game's levels?
According to their agreement, once Linda surpasses her, she will have to join Linda's team.
That kind of thing,
No!
Isa panicked and began to regret agreeing to Linda's request.
At that moment, Lulu wandered into the bathroom of the rented room and saw a few lines of crooked handwriting written on the wall next to the mirror.
The first priority is to become the number one adventure team in White Dove City.
Lulu was all too familiar with the neat, small print at the very bottom, which looked as if it had been printed by a magical machine.
It was the captain's handwriting.
'Hopefully you'll safely reach the summit of the World Tree.'
Is this the captain's goal?
The above were written by his former teammates, members of Xueyan.
Just by reading the text, Lulu could feel the harmonious atmosphere of that team.
In contrast, the original adventure team that Lulu had been in, and the 'Linda' she had received, was always a cold, pressure-filled machine. Wherever the captain was, the members had to be careful even when they were breathing.
I don't want to be blamed, I don't want to be kicked out of the team, and have all my gear stripped...
What Xueyan received from Linda was a kind-hearted captain who quietly wrote a line of inconspicuous words in a corner, hoping that the members would reach the top safely.
Lulu stroked the topmost words, which were illegible yet exuded confidence: "Become the number one adventure team in White Dove City," and a strong sense of bitterness welled up in her chest.
If that captain had given her even a tenth of the affection he had for the owner of this handwriting, she wouldn't have ended up becoming a witch.
It was by learning lessons from these abandoned 'former teammates' that the Snow Goose Adventure Team was able to reap the benefits later.
Lulu gritted her teeth and viciously scratched several hideous marks on the writing on the wall with her beast claws!
Although there was no conflict between her and the Snow Goose Adventure Team, Lulu felt a strong aversion to an unfamiliar adventure team for the first time!
Just then, Isa's voice came from the living room: "There's a note left by Linda. It seems he won't be back for a few days."
"What?"
Lulu walked out quickly, frowned, and took the note to read it.
The message above reads: I'm going to visit my old teammates, then I'll be going to Red Peach City. It will take about three days to get back.
