In no time, a straight and wide aisle cleared out of the crowded hall.
Da da da!
That was the sound of heavy boots reinforced with iron plates stomping on the ground.
The newcomer's steps were steady and powerful, and a sense of oppression seemed to materialize in the air, rushing towards them.
This approach is undoubtedly extremely arrogant, releasing its aura without restraint, as if telling the adventurers: I'm here, get out of the way!
But it must be said that the person who came had the confidence to do so.
Linda and the others were also in the crowd when Kaphni exclaimed in shock, "Amazing, they must be level 30!"
Level 30, Star-Rank Adventurer!
In White Dove City, probably only members of the White Dove Adventurer Group have this level.
Linda looked toward the entrance of the hall with a solemn expression.
The man who walked in was a young man with fiery red hair tied in a ponytail, sharp eyes like knives, and a thin sword at his waist.
The hilt of the rapier was made of gold, with a crimson magic core embedded in the center. Linda could clearly feel the intense magical fluctuations emanating from it, even from ten meters away.
A short adventurer nearby muttered, "What's Davin doing here, the second young master of the Mandala family? The Crimson Adventurers should have someone in charge of liaison, right? The guild members are on standby at their house."
Crimson Adventurers?
Linda raised an eyebrow in surprise.
Lia's father, known as the Bloody Baron, led the Crimson Adventurers.
He had last heard about this adventure group two years ago.
Back then, the Crimson Adventurer Group had already reached level 17 and was rated as Iron. Now, two years later, they might be approaching level 20 and becoming a Sunrise Adventurer Group.
As the second young master of the Mandala family and a member of the Crimson Adventurers, Davin is the most outstanding person in Red Peach City in terms of both strength and status.
The fiery red-haired Star-Rank adventurer entered the hall, frowned, and looked around. Suddenly, as if he had found something, he strode over to Linda with great speed.
Lin Daneng could feel that as soon as his eyes met Da Wen's, the other man immediately showed a 'found it' expression!
Why is the second young master of the Mandala family looking for me?
Could it be—because of Leah?
Linda's expression changed slightly.
But he remembered that Leah did not have a good relationship with her family. When she occasionally mentioned her second half-brother, she did so with a hostile attitude.
The surrounding crowd scattered in an instant.
"You, you're Linda, right?"
Davin's expression was indifferent, his tone carrying an arrogance that seemed to emanate from his very bones. He cut to the chase:
"The third wife of the Mandala family invites you to be their guest."
"Third Madam?" Linda asked, puzzled.
“You should know her, Mrs. Bellene, Leah’s mother.”
A hint of impatience flashed across Davin's face as he reluctantly explained, "The Third Madam heard that you were in Red Peach City, and I was entrusted by her to take you to visit the Mandala family. If you understand, come with me."
Is this the kind of attitude you show when you invite someone over?
Linda said expressionlessly, "Was it Mrs. Bellini who ordered you to forcibly take the guests away?"
Davin pondered for a moment and said, "No, the Third Madam only mentioned that if you have time, please come over; she wants to see you."
“I’m sorry, I don’t have time right now.” Linda shrugged. “As you can see, I have to go back to White Dove City with the new team members.”
The words "new team member" convey a wealth of information.
He clearly saw that Davin's expression changed.
The Mandala family doesn't seem to know that he and Leah have parted ways.
Davin snorted and muttered to himself, "My little sister is really useless; she can't even keep anyone around."
Then, looking at Linda, he continued:
"What happens between you and Leah is none of my business. That useless family trash can die in White Dove City. But Third Madam, I want you to go there. So even if you don't have 'free time,' you have to!"
The carriage is outside; it won't take you long. Since your title is 'Eye of Wisdom,' you should know what to do, right?
"lead the way."
Linda followed.
Going against the Mandala family in Red Peach City is clearly unwise.
"Captain, are you alright...? That man was so fierce." Monica's delicate body trembled slightly with fear.
Linda thought for a moment and said, "It's not a big problem."
The person who invited them was Mrs. Bellene, a reasonable and understanding woman, much better than the willful young lady, Billia.
The three followed Darwin and got into the carriage.
About ten minutes later, we arrived at a sprawling estate.
Before them stood a massive iron gate with intricate carvings, flanked by two warriors of considerable strength, clad in gleaming armor and wielding spears.
Davin nodded to them, and the two soldiers pushed open the door.
A spotless white stone path leads straight to the mansion ahead.
"When you see the Third Madam later, don't tell her about you and Lia yet."
Davin, who was walking in front, suddenly spoke up.
"Why?" Linda didn't answer, her eyebrows furrowed, and she asked in return.
Davin shook his head: "The Third Madam was stranded in her early years and unfortunately encountered a witch. She was harmed by the witch and her body is getting weaker and weaker. She doesn't have much time left. Father's intention is to satisfy her requests as much as possible."
He glanced meaningfully at Linda: "That's why we invited you here. Leah... never mind, since you've come all this way, the Mandala family will owe you a small favor, and we'll call it even for Luke's matter."
Small favors...they're calculated quite clearly.
Linda thought to herself, "This is what I'm thinking."
