Chapter 2 Snow Leopard

Next, the warden took Li Shu to see the second star beast. Li Shu's emotions, which had just calmed down, became excited again. He leaned against the window and asked, "Is this an endangered species, a snow leopard, also in cub form?"

Li Shu said from the bottom of his heart: "How cute!"

The snow leopard, which still had some rationality, couldn't help but raise its head and looked at the strange keeper in the car with extreme shock.

Is there anything wrong with his brain?

And you're still praising it as cute?!

The warden was silent for several seconds: "Are you sure?"

Li Shu nodded with extraordinary certainty.

In his previous life, he had always loved reading popular science about animals, and knew the habits and living environments of many animals like the back of his hand. Until the end of the world came, those already endangered animals mutated into monsters.

Humans were already preoccupied with their own affairs by then and had no time to protect the animals that might still be alive.

Later.

They are all extinct.

Perhaps Li Shu's gaze frightened the snow leopard, causing it to stand on end and baring its teeth at the car. Then, after turning to look at the snow leopard's figure, which had stood on end and turned away, a question suddenly occurred to him: "Do they still have any memories of their human days?"

The warden's expression suddenly grew grave, and he sighed, "Their consciousness has been largely affected by their beast forms, and they only regain consciousness occasionally."

This is the fate of all powerful star beasts.

For a moment, the atmosphere in the car became depressing. The warden took Li Shu to meet the remaining star beasts, so that these star beasts could get familiar with Li Shu.

Until the last star beast's territory.

The warden didn't drive closer like the previous ones. For the first time, he wore an unusually solemn expression and said, "The last star beast has a 99% hazard rate, making it the most dangerous entity in the prison."

Li Shu was even more confused: "It should have completely transformed into a beast now, right?"

Logically speaking, the degree of danger should be reduced.

The warden nodded. "But it is also the most rational star beast. However, it has a strong sense of possession of its territory. Apart from routine inspections and feeding, do not set foot here."

Li Shu exclaimed.

How strong is the willpower of this star beast?

The warden then gave Li Shu a few more instructions before leaving.

Currently, there is only him as a keeper in this area, plus a few robots that are responsible for miscellaneous tasks. Li Shu does not feel scared, but feels extremely comfortable.

He spent the entire afternoon cleaning the room and learning how to operate the instruments. It was soon evening, and he got up and went to the warehouse, where there were only a few bottles of nutrients and a small bag of rice.

It was probably left by the previous keeper.

Li Shu turned on the light brain, requested food and daily necessities for tomorrow, and then sat back down to take nutritional supplements to last him through the night.

Suddenly, as if he remembered something, he turned on the computer and checked the surveillance footage. After confirming that the snow leopard was not nearby, he immediately drove over.

He remembered that when the warden took him there, he seemed to catch a glimpse of a furry rabbit out of the corner of his eye. It should be a primitive animal released by the previous breeder, specifically for the star beasts to hunt.

After arriving at the place, Li Shu searched the surrounding area carefully again and finally found the extremely hidden rabbit hole.

He squatted down and took a look.

This rabbit hole goes very deep.

Li Shu found a vine rhizome nearby, cut off a small piece and put it in his pocket, then walked back to the rabbit hole, spread out his palm, and used his supernatural power to create a thin vegetable rhizome out of thin air.

In just a few seconds, the plant grew several more leaves, emitting a strange fragrance that was refreshing and pleasant to the smell.

Not long after he awakened his supernatural powers in his previous life, he discovered that the plants he created out of thin air were different from the plants he created directly from roots and seeds.

The former has its own fragrance that attracts animals, and eating it can also relieve physical fatigue and accelerate wound healing.

It’s a pity that this method consumes a lot of superpowers.

Even if Li Shu sold it at a high price, it could only allow him to live a comfortable life. As for pure natural meat, it was even more in short supply.

And now, he will be able to eat rabbit meat soon.

Li Shu thought of several ways to cook rabbit meat and couldn't help swallowing his saliva. He then increased his efforts to produce another crop of plants, which looked very similar to alfalfa, the rabbits' favorite food.

Soon, a faint sound came from the rabbit hole.

Li Shu slowly took out the vine roots from his pocket, waited until the rabbit in the rabbit hole poked its head out, sniffed the scent in the air, and observed vigilantly and carefully for several seconds.

At this moment, the roots of the severed vines were forced to grow larger by Li Shu, and a long vine stretched out flexibly, instantly wrapping around the rabbit and strangling it to death without causing the rabbit to feel any pain.

Li Shu pulled the vine back, and just as his fingertips touched the rabbit, he heard faint breathing sounds behind him.

Li Shu's scalp tightened instantly, and he slowly turned his head, just in time to meet a pair of brown eyes.

It's a snow leopard.

It was looking at Li Shu quietly, or to be exact, staring at Li Shu's hands.

Li Shu had read the employee handbook, which meant that the snow leopard most likely still had some residual human rationality and would not necessarily attack the keeper.

Especially for newcomers like him, the probability of being attacked is lower.

Li Shu slowed his breathing and tried to communicate with the snow leopard: "Hello, I'm sorry to trespass into your territory."

snow leopard:"……"

It remembered the new breeder who had boasted in the car that it was cute and had a very abnormal brain.

Now, instead of being afraid, the breeder took the initiative to communicate with it.

The snow leopard didn't want to talk. It looked at the rabbit in the human's hand again, and finally slowly looked at the "plant" that exuded a strange smell.
