Chapter 423 Li Shu’s Past (Part 2)

Li Shu bit his lower lip, then made a big circle with his fingers in front of his chest, as if simulating an explosion.

He whispered, "So I actually hate explosions."

Li Shu turned his head and glanced at Kamos, and he touched his nose unconsciously.

Before, when he was on the garbage planet, he threw a missile directly at them, and the power of that bomb was quite strong.

But Li Shu didn't think much about it, he just sighed about that time.

"I couldn't get anything to eat there, and I didn't expect that when I got here, I still couldn't get anything to eat at first."

"Tsk, I struggled for a long time before I finally found a way to survive."

"Then I stumbled my way to where I am now."

Li Shu looked at him with amusement: "If you want to know something, you can start asking."

Kamos frowned, and his usual nonchalant look was restrained. Now he seemed to really put Li Shu on an equal footing and communicate with him.

"How many years separate the existence of Gaia and the others in the diary and your time?"

Li Shu shook his head slightly: "When I died, the era had already begun to become chaotic, but I can be sure that it has been at least ten thousand years."

"Because given our situation at the time, we simply didn't have the advanced technology to travel to other planets with life."

"Also, I think it's unfortunate that they may have gone in the wrong direction when searching for new life-bearing planets. Perhaps there really is only one."

"They didn't see any other planets with life until they rushed into the interstellar vortex and reached the edge of the galaxy."

"Isn't this a kind of tragedy and retribution?"

Kamos's expression became a little subtle: "You mean, retribution?"

Li Shu leaned back and looked over with a bit of surprise: "Don't tell me you didn't see it?"

"Such an obvious team configuration. No healing types, only combat types and control types."

"Add to that the human experiments they conducted, and can you say they are a good group of people?"

"Besides, as I said, with our level of capability at the time, it was difficult to build a spacecraft capable of crossing galaxies."

He smacked his lips, stood up and began to stimulate the growth of a new batch of plants.

"You now possess a considerable amount of interstellar capabilities. Think about it yourself: can your current spacecraft technology allow you to perfectly cross the interstellar vortex?"

"Can your spaceship guarantee that you can survive that kind of space jump perfectly?"

"And arrived at another planet with life at such a perfect time?"

The green energy in Li Shu's palm continued to spread, and the surrounding plants were also growing rapidly.

Kamos didn't like this feeling very much, so he stepped back a little.

Li Shu looked at the plants and then continued, "So you're saying we are goldfish in a fish tank."

"Maybe it's true."

"But what's outside the fish tank? A new fish tank?"

"I can only confirm to you that there are indeed other galaxies outside our own, and that there are planets with life and intelligent life in those galaxies."

"Anything beyond that still requires you to verify it yourself."

Kamos looked hesitant, and after a long while he finally spoke, "Why do I feel even more confused after listening to your fragmented and rambling story?"

Li Shu didn't say anything and continued to fiddle with the plants in his hands. However, Kamos's expression became more and more subtle, as if he had thought of something.

He slumped on the sofa beside him, staring at the ceiling with a dull look in his eyes.

"Do you think it's possible that the person outside the fish tank felt that the original world was boring and about to be destroyed, so he made her find this galaxy and opened up a new way to play?"

Li Shu sighed softly, "That depends on your imagination. If you're willing, and don't think about the fish tank problem, and just focus on developing yourself and your technology, maybe you can find your own goal."

He shrugged his shoulders and said, "Perhaps, sometimes you are too ambitious."

"Although current interstellar technology has advanced considerably, it's still impossible to jump out of that interstellar vortex. There's no way to be sure that after jumping out of the vortex, you'll be facing a planet with life."

"You don't need to gamble on that. It's better to focus on scientific research."

"With longer lifespans and technological advancements, sooner or later you'll be able to see the world yourself. It's better than waiting for that so-called big hand outside the fish tank to control you, right?"

"After all, you can't contact him, and you don't know if he will help you."

Kamos's expression became even more conflicted, as if the wish he had been looking forward to for many years was suddenly shattered.

"So when you first came here, do you still remember the feeling of traveling through time and space?"

"You really didn't feel any assistance from any external force?"

Li Shu shook his head. He really didn't feel anything, and he didn't bother to hide such a thing.

Kamos lowered his eyes slightly, staring carefully at his palm, his eyes becoming a little confused.

"If I destroy all the planets with life, and then only I am left, and everything is destroyed..."

Li Shu interrupted him: "Tsk, why think so much? Can you destroy it?"

"My previous world was a world of resource shortages. The apocalypse was imminent, and the main problem was still the shortage of resources."

"Do you think this kind of thing would happen in this galaxy?"

"Let's try a different research direction."

Kamos felt his head starting to hurt, and his usual nonchalant expression disappeared, and he straightened the corners of his mouth as if he was sad.

"If I had known this earlier, I wouldn't have asked you these questions."

"Is there anything special in that...that galaxy of yours?"

Li Shu turned to look at him: "Does the dinner I made yesterday count?"

Kamos paused for a long moment before muttering softly, "All you know is eating."

Li Shu laughed, not getting angry. He just stared at the plants in front of him, watching them grow, be harvested, and then sent to the next processing room to be made into medicine and stored.

Li Shu suddenly turned around and asked, "If I want to fight against the Zerg, will you help me?"

Kamos didn't ask Li Shu why he wanted to go against the Zerg, he just scratched his hair in annoyance.

"Do you think I have any choice now?"

"If you're truly prepared for this, I'll find a way to contact the Zerg spies, and then look at their routes and figure out how to intercept them."

Li Shu blinked and said, "Go ahead. I plan to wait until they destroy the Imperial Star and then destroy them in one fell swoop."
