Chapter 36 Space Upgrade, Library, Accelerated Time Flow

The cicadas outside the window chirped softly, while the two people inside the room embraced each other tighter and tighter.

The water seemed to be boiling; the popping of the pot lid drowned out the ambiguous sizzling of the water, until—

Lu Zhengjun, reluctant to part.

We can't kiss anymore, or something bad might happen.

With her heart pounding like a drum, Su Yueya lay panting on Lu Zhengjun's chest, the powerful sound of his heartbeat filling her ears.

Both of them felt the air was a bit hot.

"Crescent Moon, I didn't mean to."

Lu Zhengjun apologized somewhat embarrassedly: "Are you alright? Why don't we cook first? I won't tease you this time."

Su Yueya blushed and shook her head: "I'm fine, let's cook first."

These vegetables were all taken from the space. The sweet potatoes are soft, sweet, and fragrant, so there's no need to add sugar.

Potatoes turn into a puree with a gentle press, and when mixed with some simple seasonings and added to rice, they are especially fragrant.

Su Yueya stewed a pork rib and corn soup, made garlic vermicelli and cabbage, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, and also made a cucumber and tofu skin salad.

If the gate hadn't been closed, the aroma would probably have traveled two miles.

After finishing their meal, the two watched TV for a while before going to take their afternoon naps.

To everyone's surprise, in the afternoon, neighbor Zhao Huijuan arrived with some things.

"My mom went home a couple of days ago. This is a local specialty from our area. Please don't be put off by it, girl."

Zhao Huijuan is just a quiet person, but she is a nice person.

"Oh, sister-in-law, what are you saying? We all grew up in the countryside. These things are very good. I can't even buy them in the city. Thank you, sister-in-law."

Zhao Huijuan is a very sensible person; she rarely visits other people's homes except for those she is very close to.

Su Yueya didn't insist and, as usual, went into the kitchen and took out a bag of vegetables.

Zhao Huijuan never said what dishes she wanted; Su Yueya always just picked out whatever she wanted.

Anyway, all these vegetables taste equally good, so no one in their family dislikes them. Even their son, Chen Xiaoan, has changed his picky eating habits.

Every time it's mealtime, the little guy takes his own bowl and chopsticks, sits obediently at the table, and waits to eat. He can barely manage to eat a couple of bites without being urged or scolded.

Zhao Huijuan originally thought that if the vegetables were from the local market, she would go to buy them no matter how far away they were.

Upon learning that the vegetables were grown by Su Yueya herself, she became somewhat conflicted.

These vegetables, if you were to pay for them, would be from your neighbors, and they might not even sell them to you.

Or should we just use the groceries we buy ourselves?

Zhao Huijuan tried it, but her son Chen Xiaoan was unhappy and kept saying he wanted to eat the same dish as before.

After eating the vegetables Su Yueya sent for a few days, and then eating the vegetables I bought at the nearby market, the difference was obvious; they just didn't taste as good.

It's not surprising that Chen Xiaoan is making a scene.

But Zhao Huijuan would never do something like just going to someone's house and taking things for free.

The kids in my family really prefer the vegetables from Su Yueya's house; otherwise, they'll only eat meat.

Having no other choice, Zhao Huijuan discussed it with her family and decided that every time she went to get vegetables, she would bring some of her own produce to exchange for them.

That way, no one loses out.

This time, Su Yueya brought several different kinds of vegetables.

Carrots, round eggplants, large winter melons, and large potatoes.

A whole bag full, enough to last at least a week.

Zhao Huijuan said with delight, "Thank you, little sister."

"It's alright, Sister Zhao. All the vegetables in my family are homegrown and very healthy."

Zhao Huijuan chatted with Su Yueya for a few minutes before going home.

Lu Zhengjun also got up. When Su Yueya passed by his room, she glanced at it. The bed and quilt were folded neatly. It could be said that in all her years of folding quilts, Su Yueya had never folded them into such neat squares.

He was upstairs collecting laundry when Su Yueya, unable to contain her curiosity, went in and touched the quilt.

After pressing it a few times, two shallow handprints appeared on the quilt. Su Yueya tried to smooth them out, but ended up making the quilt a little crooked.

After Lu Zhengjun finished collecting the clothes and went downstairs, the footsteps grew closer and closer. Su Yueya couldn't help but feel flustered, so she quickly walked out to prepare to cook.

Lu Zhengjun naturally saw Su Yueya's back as well. She was a little puzzled at first, but after returning to her room, she understood immediately and couldn't help but find it amusing.

Since both of them were home, Su Yueya started cooking early. Lu Zhengjun had to work the next day, and Su Yueya was worried that he wouldn't get enough rest, so she wanted him to go home early that night.

For two consecutive days, Lu Zhengjun spent time with Su Yueya. The two went out on dates and visited many places. At home, they watched TV or cooked and made desserts together.

After dinner, Lu Zhengjun watched TV with Su Yueya for a while before going home.

Su Yueya tidied herself up quickly, turned off the lights, and went upstairs.

Su Yueya hasn't been going to bed early these past few days.

Perhaps because she spends a lot of time with Lu Zhengjun during the day, she always thinks of him when she closes her eyes at night.

Although Su Yueya doesn't have many memories, all of them include Lu Zhengjun, which makes her very happy and at ease.

Those beautiful memories always bring a happy smile to Su Yueya's face whenever she recalls them.

That night, Su Yueya was thinking about Lu Zhengjun when, in the blink of an eye, she suddenly entered the spatial dimension.

She didn't seem to be planning to come in just now, did she?

Su Yueya couldn't figure it out when she suddenly saw a small building appear not far from the house.

It says three words: Library.

Su Yueya: "...?"

Su Yueya had never been to a library, but she passed by the town's library, which looked very similar to the library that appeared in the space.

However, this library is bigger and looks more beautiful.

When did this appear? Just now?
