Chapter 858

"Are you alright?" Zhong Wenya, the teacher of the Moon Class, helped Yu Jiahe up and checked his injuries.

"Teacher Zhong, my hand is cut," Yu Jiahe said, looking aggrieved. He spread out his hands so Zhong Wenya could see the cuts on his palms. "It hurts a little."

Zhong Wenya felt pain just looking at it, let alone Yu Jiahe, who was just a child.

"Teacher understands. Besides your palm, where else does it hurt? Did your butt hurt when you sat on the ground?" Zhong Wenya asked. She was worried about a problem with her tailbone, since being pushed down and sitting on the ground was extremely dangerous.

“A little.” Yu Jiahe nodded.

Another little girl was also injured. Her name is Lu Xinyi. She was the second chick to be caught. After being pushed down, she fell directly to the ground and scraped her fair and tender knees.

Another little boy was also pushed down, but he was lucky; he fell but didn't get a scratch.

Currently, it seems that Yu Jiahe and Lu Xinyi are the ones who are more seriously injured.

"Teacher Yan, you keep an eye on Liu Shengrui for now. I'll take Yu Jiahe and Lu Xinyi to the infirmary to check on them. We need to make sure Yu Jiahe's coccyx is okay," Zhong Wenya said.

"Thank you, Teacher Zhong," Yan Shiling said, her head throbbing terribly.

A child in the class got injured, and I expect another big fight when the parents come to pick them up today.

If a child gets injured at school, wouldn't the parents be worried?

She never expected that Liu Shengrui, who seemed so well-behaved, would cause such a scene for her today!

"Liu Shengrui, do you know you did something wrong?" Yan Shiling asked, her tone much more serious than usual, no longer the gentle and kind Teacher Yan.

Liu Shengrui glanced up at Yan Shiling. He felt that Teacher Yan had changed, but he didn't say anything.

“You understand the rules of the game ‘Eagle Catches Chicks,’ right? The teacher clearly explained them before we started playing, and there was even a demonstration in the first round. So why did you disregard the rules and suddenly push Yu Jiahe? Can you tell the teacher?” Yan Shiling asked.

However, silence remained.

Yan Shiling knew she had to control her temper, but she couldn't get a word out of him no matter how hard she tried, which was really infuriating. However, she didn't lose her temper; she just couldn't help but become more serious.

"Liu Shengrui, because of you, a classmate got hurt, and you didn't answer the teacher's questions. Did you do that on purpose?"

We need to find out why Liu Shengrui hit him. At least after school, we need to communicate with the parents so that Yan Shiling can mediate.

But Liu Shengrui still didn't say a word. When Yan Shiling continued to ask, he stomped his foot, snorted, and ran away. It was as if he didn't want to listen to Yan Shiling at all!

Yan Shiling: "..."

She stared at Liu Shengrui's suddenly running away, puzzled yet surprised.

How could this child be so ill-mannered?

As a teacher, and a kindergarten teacher at that, she was naturally prepared to deal with all sorts of unexpected situations. After all, children are more "difficult to control," so even though Yan Shiling was very angry, she didn't directly vent her anger on Liu Shengrui. She believed that her communication just now was fine.

But Liu Shengrui's reaction was problematic, seriously problematic.

When children make mistakes, adults usually ask them questions patiently, and the children will know to admit their mistakes, apologize, and reflect on what they did wrong. But Liu Shengrui just ran away.

How could a child be like this?

After that, Liu Shengrui kept avoiding Yan Shiling, not communicating with her, and not returning to the classroom. He just hid in the play area outside the classroom by himself. He even played on the slide and didn't seem unhappy or scared.

It was as if nothing had happened.

Yan Shiling was stunned.

Unable to communicate with Liu Shengrui, Yan Shiling calmed the other children down and told them to go back to their classrooms and ask the teacher from the next class to keep an eye on them. She then rushed to the infirmary to check on Yu Jiahe and Lu Xinyi.

"How is it?" Yan Shiling asked nervously.

They're all kids, so bumps and bruises are no small matter, especially with Yu Jiahe squatting on his bottom, which makes him particularly prone to accidents.

"Teacher Yan, don't worry, they're both fine," Zhong Wenya said.

Upon arriving at the infirmary, Zhong Wenya immediately had the school doctor examine Yu Jiahe.

My tailbone is fine. It's normal for my buttocks to hurt when I squat down like that. Fortunately, no bones were injured, but the cuts on my palms need to be treated.

Lu Xinyi's hands and arms were not broken, just a little sore, but her knees were scraped and needed to be treated.

The school doctor quickly took care of it.

"Jiahe, Xinyi, don't be afraid. Liu Shengrui was in the wrong this time. After I talk to him, I will definitely make him apologize to you, okay?" Yan Shiling comforted the two children.

Yu Jiahe is a boy, so he's a little braver.

He was shocked by Liu Shengrui's behavior at the time, not understanding why the eagle would push the mother hen, and was frightened by the sudden change. Now that he has come to his senses, his injury has been treated, and although it hurts a bit, he can bear it.

"Teacher Yan, why did Liu Shengrui push me?" Yu Jiahe asked.

In contrast, he was more curious about this question.

“That’s right,” Lu Xinyi, a little girl, said pitifully, her eyes brimming with tears, “The eagle shouldn’t push the mother hen. If it pushes the mother hen and catches us, it should let go. Why does it push us after catching us?”

Yan Shiling couldn't answer at all; she also wanted to know why!

“Liu Shengrui has realized his mistake now. It was probably his first time playing the game, and he wasn’t familiar with the rules. Plus, he couldn’t catch any chickens, so he got a little anxious and did something wrong. If he apologizes to you, will Jiahe and Xinyi forgive him?” Yan Shiling asked.

Although the reason is still unclear, the teacher is definitely someone who can resolve conflicts rather than exacerbate them. Therefore, even though Yan Shiling felt that Liu Shengrui was very ill-mannered, she still spoke up for him.

“He apologized to me, and then I stopped being angry,” Lu Xinyi said.

“Me too,” Yu Jiahe said.

"Okay, shall we go back to the classroom now?" Yan Shiling said gently.

Back in the classroom, Yu Jiahe and Lu Xinyi were the focus of attention of all their classmates. They looked around but did not see Liu Shengrui, the culprit.

Another little girl who was very close to Lu Xinyi was named Hu Yiliu. She saw Lu Xinyi looking around and asked her what she was looking for.

"Where did Liu Shengrui go?" Lu Xinyi asked.

“There it is, look!” Hu Yiliu pointed in a direction outside the window.

Lu Xinyi looked out the way Hu Yiliu was pointing and saw a head hiding on the slide outside. It was Liu Shengrui, who had pushed her earlier.
