Du Tingting understood Mu Qiu's hint. Her chest felt like it was being gripped by a large hand, and she felt suffocated. "Qiu Qiu'er..." Du Tingting was on the verge of collapse. She had had enough of this torture.
Du Tingting couldn't help but tell Mu Qiu, "Qiu Qiu'er, Dad said he has found a suitable heart donor for you, but the other person is seriously ill and hasn't passed away yet. You have to wait a few more days. Once that person passes away, we will perform a heart transplant on you as soon as possible."
Hearing this, two fires were lit in Mu Qiu's lifeless eyes, burning with vigorous flames.
Mu Qiu let go of Du Tingting. She grabbed Du Tingting's arm and asked in joy and disbelief, "Is it true?"
Du Tingting nodded while crying, "It's true Qiu Tian'er, you are saved! Just wait a few more days, we will definitely save you!"
Mu Qiu burst into tears of joy. "That's great, that's great!"
The mother and daughter hugged each other, crying and laughing.
Knock knock——
The sudden knock on the door woke up the complacent mother and daughter.
The two separated and looked sideways at the ward door.
Song Ci stood there, holding a breakfast box. Flat sneakers and tight jeans outlined her toned and sexy figure.
After just a few days of not seeing her, she had lost a lot of weight, her figure looking a little frail under her sweater. Her pretty face, lightly made up, no longer had that brilliant smile.
The Song Dynasty porcelain with its settled temperament looks a little strange.
Song Ci walked in and placed the lunch box on the bedside table. Then she turned around and stared at Mu Qiu and Du Tingting. "Mother, Qiu Tian, why are you crying again?"
Mu Qiu's eyes flickered, but he didn't respond.
Du Tingting's face was still full of joy. When she heard Song Ci's question, she took Song Ci's delicate hand and shared her joy. "Song Song, we finally found a heart source that is suitable for Qiu Tian!"
Song Ci was stunned.
"Found it?" Song Ci's breathing became a little unstable, and she was about to faint from anger.
How could that be?
How could Mu Qiu find a suitable heart?
Song Dynasty porcelain has an absurd feeling of being played by God.
Why do evil people get redemption, but good people don't have a good ending? Thinking of her poor dead sister and looking at Mu Qiu, Song Ci felt angry.
Du Tingting interpreted Song Ci's expression as surprise and shock.
"It's surprising, isn't it? It's also good luck. A few days ago, someone with Qiu Tian'er's blood type and antibodies matched his had an accident and is now in critical condition. Your father has already persuaded the patient and his family to buy his heart."
"I know that buying and selling hearts is illegal, but the person's family is relatively poor, and he is willing to sell his heart in exchange for money for his children."
"This way, we can have the best of both worlds."
Mu Mian told Du Tingting these words, and Du Tingting simply repeated them verbatim to Song Ci.
Song Ci forced a smile, "Really?" She turned to look at Mu Qiu, held Mu Qiu's hands, and had to congratulate her against her will, "Congratulations, Qiu Tianer, you finally found the right heart."
Mu Qiu shook Song Ci's hand and smiled faintly, "Sister, will you come to accompany me when I have the operation?" Mu Qiu stuck out her tongue nervously, like a playful elf, and said, "I will feel more at ease with you by my side."
Song Ci nodded absentmindedly.
After leaving the hospital, Song Ci was in a depressed mood. She went straight to Su Beibei's coffee shop. "A Kun, where is your store manager?"
Ah Kun knew Song Ci and knew that she was a friend of the store manager. He replied, "The boss is upstairs."
Nodding, Song Ci ran upstairs. She pushed open the glass door of the study, walked to Su Beibei's desk, and pounded the desk with both hands.
Su Beibei was startled. She looked up, staring at Song Ci's furious face, raising an eyebrow in surprise. "What's going on? Who made Lady Song so angry?"
Su Beibei had no inspiration. She had been on the computer for two hours and had only written a little over 500 words, and she was not satisfied with the content. Seeing Song Ci coming, Su Beibei simply turned off the computer.
Song Ci sat on the sofa, legs crossed, arms folded across her chest, her face scowling, looking a bit intimidating. She was truly furious, but she didn't know where to begin.
Su Beibei went downstairs and brought her a cup of coffee. "Mocha, try it."
Song Ci stared at the delicate black and white latte art on the mocha, and finally spoke. "There's no fairness in this world."
Su Beibei: "You want to talk to me about philosophy?"
Song Ci used a spoon to stir the latte art. "Mu Mian has found a suitable heart for Mu Qiu."
Su Beibei's smile faded upon hearing this. "There really is no fairness." Her parents had died because of Mu Mian, and retribution had finally come upon Mu Mian's child. She thought it was finally his turn to suffer the consequences, but he had found the right heart for Mu Qiu.
It's indeed unfair.
"You haven't found the thing yet?" Song Ci came here today mainly to ask about the progress on Su Beibei's side. Song Ci couldn't wait any longer, she couldn't wait to send that old bastard Mu Mian to jail!
First knock down the old ones, then the young ones.
"Not yet. Let me show you something." Su Beibei stood up and walked to the bookshelf and took down a Sherlock Holmes collection.
She sat opposite Song Ci with a book in her hand.
"What's going on? Are you going to tell me a story?" Song Ci stared at the book in her hand and wanted to get up and leave.
"What's the rush?" Su Beibei opened the book, and Song Ci realized that it was empty. It was actually a disguised collection box. Su Beibei took out the things inside and said, "I'm afraid of being discovered, so I have no choice but to do this."
