Chapter 2 How could it be her?

"What did you say!"

Song Ci's voice became sharp and harsh, "Mu Qiu, this joke is not funny."

Mu Qiu sympathized with Song Ci, "Sister, you are so stupid."

Mu Qiu said, "Actually, that fire wasn't an accident. My condition worsened and I couldn't find a matching heart, so Dad had no choice but to give me Song Fei's heart. She was in a vegetative state anyway and wouldn't wake up. To prevent anyone from discovering what happened, Dad set a fire in the middle of the night and destroyed Song Fei's body..."

After hearing Mu Qiu's words, Song Ci's head started buzzing, and all her strength was drained away in an instant, and she could hardly stand.

Was my sister killed by them?

Looking at Mu Qiu's innocent appearance and thinking of his sister's innocent and tragic death, Song Ci suddenly felt a surge of anger erupt from his body.

"Go to hell!"

Song Ci picked up the vase on the table behind her and was about to smash it on Mu Se's head. Just as her fingers lifted the vase, before she could throw it, her wrist was grabbed by a strong hand.

Pain in wrist bones.

Song Ci turned his head angrily, and a black, straight shadow appeared in his red eyes.

Mu Mian stood behind Song Ci. In Song Ci's view, his handsome and gentle face had lost its former amiability and instead looked hateful.

"Song Ci, give me the vase." Mu Mian's tone was gloomy and full of warning.

Seeing Mu Mian, and thinking of the care and dedication Mu Mian had given her over the past decade, Song Ci felt wronged and heartbroken, tears welling up in her eyes. Clenching her fists, Song Ci questioned Mu Mian, "Is what Mu Qiu said true?"

Mu Mian glanced at Mu Qiu lying on the bed.

Mu Qiu calmly told Mu Mian, "Dad, I told her everything."

Mu Mian frowned, as if blaming Mu Qiu for acting on his own. Noticing the woman's wrist struggling in his palm, Mu Mian's gaze returned to Song Ci's face.

Staring at Song Ci's tearful face, Mu Mian's lips moved twice.

After all, she was the child he had raised for nearly twenty years, so Mu Mian felt a little pity for her. But when he thought about his own daughter dying if she didn't get a heart replacement, his heart hardened again.

Mu Mian and his wife Du Tingting have only one daughter, Mu Qiu. His wife passed away seven years ago, and Mu Qiu is his only hope.

He couldn't bear to lose his only relative again.

"I'm sorry, Song Ci, I can't just watch Qiu Tianer die."

As soon as these words came out of Mu Mian's mouth, the vase in Song Ci's hand fell and shattered all over the ground.

Song Ci roared at Mu Mian: "Your daughter must live, but my sister must die?"

Mu Mian whispered in defense: "She is in a vegetative state, and the doctor has determined that she will not wake up..."

"Then you can dissect her alive and dig out her heart!"

Mu Mian remained silent.

He had nothing to say, it was all true.

Song Ci looked at Mu Mian with resentment. She smiled miserably and desperately, pressing her chest. Tears streaming down her face, she asked Mu Mian, "So now, you're going to take my heart to save Mu Qiu, too, right?"

Mu Mian lowered his head, and after a long while, he squeezed out a word from between his lips: "I'm sorry..."

Mu Mian's apology chilled Song Ci's heart.

So, what Mu Qiu said was true. Mu Mian really wanted to take her heart to save his own daughter, and her sister was also killed by Mu Mian!

Song Ci suddenly remembered something.

When she was 20 years old, Mu Mian was very interested in organ donation for a while. She even went to the Wangdongcheng Red Cross for consultation and brought back an application form for donating her organs after death.

Song Ci accidentally saw the application form that Mu Mian placed on the desk.

Song Ci experienced a major earthquake and was rescued by the People's Liberation Army. Later, she was fortunate to be adopted by the Mu family. Song Ci has always lived with a grateful heart. She has always wanted to contribute something to society, so after seeing the organ donation application form on Mu Mian's desk, Song Ci also wanted to donate her organs.

Later, she actually went to get a form and applied to donate all her organs after her death to save the lives of strangers.

Now that I think about it, how could Mu Mian be a selfless person? It was just a trick he used to trick her into signing the organ donation agreement so he could successfully remove her heart for Mu Qiu's surgery after her death!

After figuring it all out, Song Ci felt as if her heart was being cut by a knife, and a mouthful of blood spurted out of her mouth on the spot.

Song Ci stumbled back two steps, her back against the wall, her eyes fixed on Mu Mian, a murderous aura emanating from hell surrounding her. "Mu Mian, Mu Qiu, you will be punished!"

Song Ci swore unwillingly: "Even if I die, even if I turn into a ghost, I will come after you!"

Mu Mian frowned, took quick action, and knocked Song Ci unconscious with a palm strike.

....

Four days later.

"Mr. Han, your eyes, which have just had their corneas replaced, cannot adapt to the glare of light. Please open your eyes slowly."

Hearing the director's sincere instructions, Han Zhan nodded slightly.

The man's curled eyelashes trembled a few times before slowly opening. His eyes were a pair of gray-blue, their blue pupils radiating gray-blue rays of varying shades. His pupils were clear and intoxicating, like an endless whirlpool, captivating.

Han Zhan stared at the orange-red Clivia on the windowsill of his hospital room. For the past year, all he could see was darkness. Finally regaining his sight, looking at this colorful world, Han Zhan felt a little dazed.

Seeing Han Zhan staring blankly at the windowsill, his expression neither happy nor sad, the director's face showed a hint of worry. He held his breath and whispered, "Mr. Han, still... can't you see?"

Han Zhan shook his head, "No, I can see." He could even see more clearly than before he became blind due to the injury.

After confirming that the operation was successful, the director left with peace of mind.

As soon as the director left, Li Li pushed the door open and walked in. "The operation was very successful. Congratulations on regaining your sight, boss."

Han Zhanzhi asked, "Where's the information?"

"Here." Li Li handed the information bag to Han Zhan.

Han Zhan lowered his head to open the information bag and heard Li Li say, "After investigation, the person who donated her cornea to you was a woman. Her name was Song Ci, she was 32 years old and from Wangdong City. She died three days ago in a car accident. Because she signed an organ donation agreement before her death, her cornea was able to be used by you."

After saying that, Li Li realized that the boss's expression was not right.

Li Li was a little surprised. He stopped talking and looked at Han Zhan with some confusion and asked, "What's wrong, Boss?"

Han Zhan finally looked up. He stared at Li Li and asked hesitantly, word by word: "What's her name?"

Li Li replied doubtfully, "Song Dynasty porcelain."

Han Zhan's heart suddenly began to ache dully.

How could it be her?
