Cecilio said expressionlessly: "I will not get married. I will not let something like love bind me."
"Oh..."
Earl Ace curled his lips indifferently and said, "Your old man is a psychopath, and you have to follow him into a psychopathic state? He can't live with the one he loves until old age, so he wishes you children would suffer as well. This is a disease."
Count Ace tapped his temple and sighed, "If you're sick, you have to treat it."
His father was scolded by Ace, but Cecilio's expression remained unchanged, as if he was just listening to people talking about the weather.
At this time, someone knocked on the door outside.
Lann, Earl of Ace's assistant, walked in and said, "Sir, your family has arrived. Would you like to meet them?"
In just half a day, the group of people rushed over from London. It seemed that they took Earl Ace's awakening very seriously.
Earl Ace leaned against the headboard and said lazily, "I'll take a nap first."
He said he would take a nap first, but he didn't ask the group to go back first.
Cecilio: "You go to sleep, I'll come see you another day."
"good."
Cecilio took Carl out and saw a group of people at the door, both men and women, old and young, all dressed in luxurious clothes and jewels.
Cecilio gave them a playful look and left with Carl.
As soon as he left, the people behind him gathered together and whispered, "Why is Cecilio here? What did that look mean just now?"
"Renault is awake. Cecilio is waiting to see us being bullied by Renault."
Everyone fell silent when they heard Ace's name.
Ace slept for six hours.
The longer he slept, the longer a group of relatives waited in the corridor outside the house.
They waited until their feet were numb, their minds were exhausted, and their stomachs were rumbling with hunger.
But no one dared to eat or sleep.
At one o'clock in the morning, assistant Lan finally opened the door.
Lann stood under the door frame. He was tall and long-legged, with a cold expression. He said to them, "Your Excellency is awake. Please come in. Please speak in a low voice."
Everyone had different expressions and followed Lan En into the ward.
The ward was large, clean, and smelled of disinfectant.
Count Ace, who was as thin as a skeleton, lay on the bed. It seemed that he could turn into ashes with a slight pinch.
But his light brown eyes were bright and lively.
Uncle Charles saw Ace's frail appearance and wiped his tears with a false sympathy, sighing, "My dear nephew Renault, you've suffered."
Earl Ace turned around and gave his uncle a half-smile. "What's the point of Renault's hardship? I've heard that your uncle has been working like a slave for the company all these years. I'm very pleased."
He was not moved at all, he was simply angry.
Second Uncle's smile froze and he didn't answer.
Earl Ace added, "Uncle, you've worked so hard for the company your whole life. It's time for you to take a break and travel around the world. I've woken up, and from now on, all matters related to the company will be handed over to Lann. He will convey the information to me."
Charles wanted to say that he was still healthy and motivated, and he wouldn't feel tired even if he worked for another twenty years.
But, when Renault said he was tired, he was tired.
As long as Renault is alive, he will have the final say in the Ace family.
Seeing that his second uncle was somewhat unwilling, Earl Ace pretended not to see it.
He stared at the adorable twin boy and girl at his uncle's house and said with a smile, "It's been many years since we last met. Yumina and Como have grown up so much."
The year he had the car accident, the brother and sister had just turned fifteen.
Now, they are all thirty years old.
Being stared at by Earl Ace's kind and smiling eyes, the usually arrogant Yumina and Como smiled cautiously, like mice seeing a cat.
Yumina whispered, "Brother Renault, we are all very happy that you woke up. You must recover quickly."
Not a single word in this sentence is sincere.
Earl Ace seemed in a good mood. He stared at his family members who had gathered and suddenly said, "Since everyone is here, why don't we take a photo together? It's rare for everyone to get together. Who knows, next time we may not be able to gather together."
Upon hearing this, everyone's eyebrows twitched wildly.
Taking a group photo in the ward?
What if we can’t get everyone together next time?
Listen, is this what a human being would say?
Everyone fell silent.
Earl Ace stared at them for a moment before smiling again. "Why are you all so nervous? You're right, taking a photo in a lifeless place like a hospital isn't auspicious. Let's wait a while."
Everyone breathed a sigh of relief.
After greeting each relative a few more times, Earl Ace said he was tired.
Seeing Earl Ace yawning, his second uncle Charles hurriedly said, "Renault, you just woke up and you're weak. You still need to rest more. You go to sleep, we'll go back first and come to see you another day."
"Okay."
After receiving Ace's approval, the entire group filed out, their steps swift as if a ferocious beast was chasing them.
After everyone left, Lann saw Earl Ace staring at the white veil behind the window in a trance. He asked Earl Ace: "Sir, don't you want to rest?"
But Earl Ace said, "Give me a cell phone."
"Yes, sir."
Lan took out a brand new cell phone and handed it to Earl Ace.
Earl Ace had just woken up, and his fingers were stiff, making it difficult for him to operate his phone. However, he still managed to unlock the phone himself.
Lan En whispered, "Fifteen years have passed, and mobile phones have changed many generations. Now mobile phones are simpler to operate. You can just speak directly..."
