Eight hours had passed since the tsunami and the sea water had begun to recede slowly, but most of the city was still submerged.
Many of the survivors were standing on floating boards or in houses that had not collapsed. Some were waiting for rescue, while others were weeping for the loss of their loved ones and the destruction of their homes...
Orianna's helicopter broke through the clouds and landed above the city, immediately attracting the attention of those people. They all raised their heads and stared at the helicopter with eager, anxious and joyful eyes.
There were many people waving at the helicopter.
Orianna looked at those people with a cold expression, unmoved by their pleas for help.
She said to the captain, "Go on, drive forward." She was not cold-hearted, but the situation was special and everyone was busy with their own affairs, so who could save whom?
The plane flew towards the junior high school.
The plane circled over the school. Orianna stuck her head out and looked down. She saw that the school buildings were mostly intact, with only one or two leaning slightly.
It can be seen that the school's construction quality is very solid. It was not shaken down by the earthquake and the tsunami did not knock it down.
Many children were standing on the roof of the tallest building. They raised their heads, revealing their embarrassed and expectant little faces, and looked at Orianna.
Orianna took out the loudspeaker and shouted loudly: "Ye Chen, Ye Chen, are you in there?"
Orianna heard a child say, "Ye Chen is with the rescue team!"
Rescue team?
The so-called rescue team is built in the commercial building behind the school.
Tents were set up on the roofs of commercial buildings, and medical rescue teams from all over the country were treating the injured victims.
Ye Chen was squatting among the volunteers.
After only two months of not seeing each other, Ye Chen had grown a lot taller and looked like a teenager of seventeen or eighteen years old.
He was wearing a light blue shirt and glasses. He was sitting at the edge of the tent, helping the doctor bandage the injured people.
The clone Ye Chen wearing glasses looks more like the Ye Chen in Orianna's memory.
But no matter how much he resembled Ye Chen, he was no longer the Ye Chen who would smile and put an engagement ring on her finger and invite her to watch the sunset over Charles Bridge in Cambridge.
Aureliana lowered the rope and slid down from the helicopter.
She landed on the rooftop, walked through the crowd of injured people, and came behind Ye Chen.
Sensing someone approaching him, Ye Chen thought the person was a volunteer. Without even raising his head, he said gently, "There are more patients over there. You can go over there to help."
"Ye Chen." Orianna spoke and called Ye Chen.
Ye Chen looked up in surprise.
Seeing that it was Orianna, Ye Chen stood up suddenly and hugged Orianna into his arms. "Anna, it's great that you are still alive."
Orianna was a little surprised to be suddenly hugged by the boy.
Realizing that his behavior was a bit out of line, Ye Chen quickly let go of Orianna. "I'm so excited. I'm so happy to see you, Anna."
Orianna hummed.
Aureliana stayed in the disaster area as a volunteer. Although she is a biological science expert, she also has some concerns about medicine.
Orianna can perform almost all common surgical operations.
With Orianna's presence, many people were saved.
Aureliana was busy all day and all night, barely closing her eyes to rest. Ye Chen came over with a bottle of water and a pack of biscuits.
Handing the biscuits to Orianna, Ye Chen said, "You haven't eaten for a day, Anna, eat something."
Orianna opened the sandwich biscuit and without any pretense, she sat on the ground and ate a few bites with mineral water.
After eating a few cookies, Orianna tilted her head back to drink water, and then she noticed that the person next to her was looking at her with a complicated look.
When Orianna looked at Ye Chen, Ye Chen naturally lowered his head again.
Ye Chen covered Orianna's face with a wet towel, "Anna, you've been sweating a lot."
Orianna took the towel and wiped her face.
Ye Chen said: "Go get some sleep. You are a great doctor. Take care of yourself first so that you can save more people."
Orianna naturally understood this principle. She said, "I sleep for two hours. Wake me up when the hour is two hours."
"good."
Ye Chen stretched out his legs and let Orianna lie on his legs.
Orianna fell asleep almost instantly.
Ye Chen stared at Orianna's face. He couldn't help but stretched out his right hand and gently stroked Orianna's cheek.
"Anna..."
Ye Chen whispered Orianna's name softly in an extremely affectionate tone.
It was three hours later that Orianna was woken up.
"Why did you just wake me up?"
"Seeing you sleeping soundly, I really can't bear to wake you up." Ye Chen patted her legs. She said, "Hurry up and get up. My legs are numb."
Orianna stood up and saw Ye Chen slowly stand up and walk away to rub his legs.
"Anna, there's a teenager here whose leg needs treatment!"
"Here I come."
After Orianna left, Ye Chen dared to release his illness.
He pressed his kidneys and slowly sat down.
A volunteer who knew Ye Chen noticed that Ye Chen was not feeling well, so he stopped and asked with concern: "Ye, are you okay?"
Ye Chen waved his hand slightly, "It's okay, just rest for a while."
Ye Chen knew that his organs were beginning to fail.
That's the bad thing about cloning.
More and more professional medical teams arrived at the disaster site, more and more victims received treatment, and Orianna and Ye Chen's work became easier and easier.
