Han Zhan smiled weakly, but his face was pale from the excessive bleeding. This smile made Song Ci feel even more distressed. "Don't smile, it doesn't look good."
Han Zhan felt pain in his wound and frowned.
Song Ci asked again: "Does it hurt?"
Han Zhan: "Of course it hurts."
Song Ci said, "I'll ask Long Yu to buy you some toffee."
"Okay." Han Zhan said to Long Yu, "Did you hear that? Madam asked you to buy me some toffee."
Long Yu curled the corners of his mouth, muttered something disgusting, then opened the door and walked out.
After Long Yu left, Han Zhan finally turned his attention to Song Ci. He felt soft in his heart as he looked at Song Ci's concerned expression.
"This mission gave me different ideas. I suddenly realized how cruel the deal I made with Madam Mo was to you." After all, he was emotionally cold and almost did something wrong again.
Han Zhan should have learned his lesson long ago after what happened to Rain. He should respect every life and not use others' lives as bargaining chips. He was heartless.
Seeing Song Ci pursing her red lips, not blaming herself but not letting herself go, Han Zhan felt even more guilty. "Song Ci, I've decided to give up my previous plan."
Song Ci's eyes brightened, but soon she frowned again in annoyance. "If we give up the deal with Madam Mo, what should we do then?"
Without Mrs. Mo's assistance, all their actions would be difficult.
After thinking for a moment, Han Zhan said, "I'll find another way. Don't worry about this. Do well in the exam and try to get into the top three so that you can get closer to grandma."
Song Ci inexplicably felt a sense of trust in Han Zhan, and upon hearing this she said, "Then I believe you."
The results of the second test would be released this morning. After hanging up Han Zhan's video call, Song Ci went to the small square. Unsurprisingly, Song Ci tied with Mo Fengying for first place again, having luckily placed 15th on Friday.
Friday also got up. He put on his coat while running over to check his grades. He found his name on the list and slapped his thigh with joy, "Hey! I'm in the top 15!"
Song Ci congratulated Wu Zhou, "Uncle Zhou, awesome!"
Friday said: "I'll treat you to roast duck and drinks tonight!"
"good."
Mo Fengying walked over. After seeing the list of results, she curled her lips in disinterest. "Congratulations, Song Fei."
Song Fei: "Congratulations to you too."
"Next week's final won't be as easy as the previous two times, Song Fei, I'm looking forward to competing with you!" Mo Fengying left this provocative remark and went to the cafeteria.
Song Ci was not angry, but was thinking about something thoughtfully.
Zhou Wu thought Song Ci was irritated by Mo Fengying, so he advised her not to get angry with her. "Mo Fengying did this on purpose, just to upset you and make you underperform in the finals. What a sinister plot!"
Song Ci felt that she must have watched a palace fighting drama on Friday. Mo Fengying's words sounded like a provocation to her, but in fact, she was also reminding Song Ci that the content of the final assessment would be very perverted, and Song Ci might not be sure of it.
Thinking of Zhou Wu's father who had participated in the Mo family's finals, Song Ci asked Zhou Wu: "Uncle Zhou, what was the content of the finals when Grandpa Zhou participated in the assessment?"

Song Ci found it rather amusing that a fifty-year-old man called himself a genius. However, no one in the Zhou family had made it into the top fifteen in the past two hundred years, and Zhou Wu had managed to do so. He was indeed a rare genius in the Zhou family.
There was a day of rest after the exam. Song Ci learned that the Mo family's herbal medicine warehouse would be open to the public for one day, so he took Song Fei to visit the herbal medicine warehouse.
The Mo family's herbal medicine storehouse was on the fourth floor of Shensi Building. Everywhere you looked, small boxes of herbs were filled. All the herbs were arranged according to their properties. Song Ci spent a day wandering around there, seeing many ancient herbs that had only appeared in historical records.
These herbs were well-preserved, and even though they were very old, they still had that pure medicinal fragrance. Song Fei was bored inside and came out early.
When she came out, she met Mrs. Mo outside Shensi Building. She was leading people to move some herbs into the house.
Madam Mo was considered the most beautiful woman in the clan. She wore a dark blue cheongsam dress, her hair was tied up and decorated with a black jade hairpin. When she stood in front of Shensi Tower, she looked like a fairy in a painting.
Song Fei thought about some things she had found out and knew that Mrs. Mo was the only girl in the Mo family who had attended college.
Song Fei put away her phone, forced herself into the same charming and brilliant smile that Song Ci always had on her face, and walked towards Madam Mo.
Madam Mo heard Song Fei's footsteps. She turned around and saw the smiling girl. She subconsciously said, "Madam Han, is there something wrong?"
Song Ci said, "Let me help you sort out the herbs."
"Okay." Mrs. Mo did not refuse.
Song Fei didn't recognize these herbs, didn't know what they were called, and didn't know where to put them. Madam Mo sat on a chair, took out bundles of sorted herbs, and told Song Fei the names of the herbs and where they should be placed.
Song Fei helped put all the herbs in place.
Seeing that Song Fei's forehead was sweating, Madam Mo said, "Miss Song, are you busy? If not, I'd like to treat you to a cup of afternoon tea. I can bake macarons. The macarons distributed in the cafeteria last time were my creations."
Song Fei knew that Madam Mo wanted to tell her something, so she agreed, "Okay."
