"Cong Nuo."
"Yes, does Cong Nuo have a girlfriend?"
Su Beibei said: "He is a singer, five years younger than me, so he is not in a hurry to have a girlfriend."
It’s over, and I’m still a single man!
The aunt asked again: "What kind of girl does he like?"
Su Beibei shook her head, cut each slice of beef into uniform thickness, and said, "I don't know. We haven't seen each other for many years. I haven't asked about this."
The aunt stopped asking.
Noland loved Chinese food, but his father hadn't learned how to cook from his grandmother. When he wanted Chinese food, he had to go to the Western Street. But the food there never tasted like his grandmother's.
However, Su Beibei learned her cooking skills from her grandmother. Eating the dishes cooked by Su Beibei is just like eating the dishes cooked by her grandmother.
After dinner, Noland chatted with Su Beibei for a long time, talking about his life in recent years, his upcoming work arrangements, and interesting childhood memories.
He is very smart and sensible, and will not take the initiative to mention Su Beibei and her ex-husband, for fear of hurting her feelings.
Su Beibei listened to him chattering for a long time, and when he stopped, she asked, "Have you been in love in the past few years?"
Noland shook his head, "No, I want to focus on music."
Su Beibei laughed, sat on the floor to sort out her manuscripts, and asked again: "What type of girl do you like?"
Noland glanced at Su Beibei secretly.
She lowered her head as she packed her things. Her tank top couldn't hide the large expanse of fair skin across her chest and collarbone. Noland secretly swallowed, then turned his head to look out the window and said in a vague voice, "The person I like doesn't like me."
Su Beibei stopped what she was doing and looked up at the young man. Noticing some sadness in his eyes, she showed concern and asked in surprise, "Oh? Are there still people who don't like big stars?"
Noland laughed at himself, "I'm not really a heartthrob."
Noland took out a cigarette from his pocket, put it on the cigarette box and lit it twice. He wanted to smoke, but then he realized that there were children at home, so he held back.
He stroked the cigarette with his fingers, lowered his head, and said in an unfathomable tone: "I have liked her for many years, but she doesn't like me."
"Have you ever confessed your feelings?"
Noland hummed. "I confessed my feelings a long time ago, but she didn't reciprocate my feelings." He blinked his eyelashes and murmured softly, "She married someone else."
Su Beibei showed a surprised and bewildered expression and apologized to him, "I'm sorry, I mentioned your sad story."
Noland smiled and said, "It's okay." He stared at Su Beibei's pretty cheeks and cherry-red lips, and murmured, "She will be with me soon, and I won't let her leave this time."
Su Beibei frowned, her expression becoming much more serious. She said to Noland very seriously, "Cong Nuo, she's married, so she's a married woman. You can't do this. You're a public figure. If this gets exposed, your future will be ruined."
Noland's shoulders shook with laughter.
Su Beibei showed a puzzled expression, "What are you laughing at?"
Noland laughed until tears came out. He gently wiped away his tears with the hands that played the piano, guitar and microphone. He looked at Su Beibei and said, "You are so cute."
Su Beibei: “…”
She kicked Noland with her foot.
Noland stayed at Su Beibei's place until nine o'clock in the evening. There were few people around the residence at night, so Su Beibei sent Noland to the car.
Noland got in the car, took off his sunglasses, and said to Su Beibei, "Welcome back to the United States, Belle. Come with me to New York sometime. I want to take you to see my grandma."
"Let's find a time."
"good."
After seeing Noland off, Su Beibei played with Li Ao for a while, then let him take a shower and go to bed. After Li Ao fell asleep, Su Beibei also took a shower, then sat at the desk and turned on the computer, ready to complete the task assigned by the professor.
Li Li called.
Su Beibei answered the phone and heard Li Li ask, "Beibei, what are you doing?" Ironically, after the divorce, Li Li called her more frequently than before the divorce.
Su Beibei said: "I'm studying."
“It’s so hard.”
Su Beibei didn't feel it was hard. What kind of hardship was this? The truly hard days had long been over.
Li Li told Su Beibei: "I bought a balance bike for Neil, it will probably arrive tomorrow." Like Noland, Li Li also saw the short video that Su Beibei posted on WeChat Moments.
Knowing that Li Ao liked balance bikes, Li Li ordered one online.
Su Beibei was a little surprised and wanted to tell Li Ao that he already had a balance bike. But considering that Li Li would be sad to hear the news, she didn't tell him.
The two chatted for a while, and finally Su Beibei ended the call with the intention of studying.
The next day, after breakfast, Su Beibei went to class.
Li Ao couldn't sleep late at night, so he called his aunt on video, wanting to see Li Ao.
It was daytime in Los Angeles, and Auntie was playing with Li Ao on a balance bike. When she heard Li Li say he wanted to see his son, Auntie pointed the camera at Li Ao and said, "Look, sir, Li Ao learns to ride very quickly."
Li Li smiled and said, "You can ride so soon?"
Li Li stared at his son riding a bicycle and noticed that the balance bike under his son had a black body but orange wheels.
He frowned immediately.
Li Li quickly opened the shopping website to check out the car he had bought for Li Ao the day before yesterday. His car had a black body and green wheels!
Who bought this car for Li Ao?
