Seeing Du Tingting's expression change, Mu Mian quickly took her cell phone and put it to his ear.
Mu Mian heard the other party say, "This is what happened. Your daughter suddenly had a heart attack and fainted on the street. We have performed CPR on her, but she is now unconscious."
"We've called an ambulance for her and are waiting for it. You must be this young lady's mother, right? Please come here as soon as possible!"
Mu Mian was stunned by the news. "What's the address? We'll be there right away!" He was so flustered that his voice trembled.
The other party said: "Dongshan District, Dashu Street, in front of the milk tea shop next to the Walmart supermarket!"

On the way, Mu Mian called Zhu Yuanwen and told him to send a car to the hospital in Dongshan District to pick up Mu Qiu. He and Du Tingting went directly to Xinqiao Hospital.
It was already eleven o'clock when the two arrived at Xinqiao Hospital.
Mu Qiu was still undergoing examinations, and the couple could only wait at the door. At half past twelve, Mu Qiu was sent back to the ward, and Zhu Yuanwen came to Mu Qiu's ward with a pile of Mu Qiu's examination reports.
Zhu Yuanwen had already read Mu Qiu's examination report. His face was grim, his brows were tightly furrowed, and he felt the situation was tricky.
"Director Zhu, how is it?" Mu Mian couldn't understand the inspection report, but he could read Zhu Yuanwen's expression. The expression on his face showed that the situation was serious.
Zhu Yuanwen put down the examination report and looked at Mu Qiu lying on the hospital bed. He said in a low voice, "Ms. Mu's heart failure has been progressing rapidly recently. Look at this examination report. The BNP value has increased too much."
"Ms. Mu is just 20 years old. Her BNP index should be less than 450 pg/mL to be considered normal, but hers is as high as 856 mL. In addition, she has a mild lung infection and fluid and electrolyte imbalance. Look at her lower limbs."
Zhu Yuanwen pressed Mu Qiu's calf, leaving a small dimple that disappeared after a while. "It's starting to swell up."

Turning around, Du Tingting held Zhu Yuanwen's hand and begged him: "Director Zhu, can we wait for two more days?"
Seeing Mu Mian nodding, Zhu Yuanwen said, "Based on the rate of Ms. Mu's heart failure, two or three days should be enough."
"That's good!"
Du Tingting looked at her daughter's pale face and for the first time selfishly hoped that another innocent person would die quickly. She knew that such evil thoughts were not good, but as a mother, she could not help but have selfish thoughts.
That night, no matter how much Mu Mian tried to persuade her, Du Tingting refused to leave the hospital and insisted on staying with Mu Qiu. She was afraid that Mu Qiu might not be able to hold on any longer, so she had to cherish every second she had.
The next morning, Mu Qiu woke up first.
Finding herself in the hospital, she was stunned for a moment, and then a flash of pain flashed in her eyes. She remembered the attack on the street last night, and she thought she would die on the spot.
Mu Qiu felt a tightness in her chest, not knowing whether it was because she was in the hospital or because her heart was failing her every second. She stood up and looked out the window at the fallen leaves, wondering: Will she still be able to see the tender green buds of next spring?
"Qiu Qiu?" Du Tingting also woke up. Seeing Mu Qiu standing by the window in a daze, she also stood up and walked over.
She tilted her head to look at Mu Qiu and saw that her face had turned a little redder. Du Tingting then said, "Are you hungry? I'll go buy you some food."
"Mom, can I hug you?"
Mu Qiu looked helpless.
Du Tingting's heart softened. She opened her arms to Mu Qiu and said, "Come."
Mu Qiu threw himself into Du Tingting's arms and hugged her tightly. "Last night I almost thought I would die on the street, without even being able to see my parents for the last time. I'm very satisfied to see my mother again."
"Mother."
Du Tingting: "Hmm?"
The fallen leaves in the garden below looked bleak and lifeless to Mu Qiu. "Mom, do you remember the peach blossom forest we saw in Nyingchi, Tibet a few years ago?"
"Of course I don't remember. In your freshman year of high school, you insisted on going to Tibet. Your dad put down his work and took our family on a trip to Nyingchi, Tibet."
"I remember that peach forest was very beautiful. You and Song Song even took a few photos there."
Recalling the happy and interesting things of that time, Du Tingting's eyes gleamed. How happy they were back then, Mu Qiu was healthy, and Song Song was as close to them as a family.
How come everything changed in the blink of an eye?
"I remember it was so beautiful there." Mu Qiu closed her eyes, tears falling onto Du Tingting's sweater. "Mom, I want to go to Nyingchi to see the peach forest again next year."
She doesn't want to die!
