After sleeping for an unknown amount of time, Mu Qiu suddenly heard a noise. She looked up and saw that Du Tingting's mouth was twitching violently, and then her whole body began to twitch like an epileptic seizure.
Mu Qiu was terrified.
"Mother!"
"mom!"
Mu Qiu pressed the emergency bell, but the nurse didn't answer, not knowing whether she heard it or was busy. Mu Qiu quickly ran out of the ward and stood in the corridor, shouting at the nurse's station: "Nurse, come and see what happened to my mother!"
The nurse and the doctor on duty at night rushed over and saw Du Tingting twitching all over, so they hurriedly pushed her to the emergency room.
As we walked, the doctor said, "I suspect the patient has had another intracranial hemorrhage. I'm going to do a brain CT scan!"
"Notify Director Zhang that the patient is very likely to require surgery!"
"Go to the blood bank and get some RH negative blood!"
"yes!"
Mu Qiu jogged behind the ambulance and arrived at the emergency room. The nurse closed the door and Mu Qiu was stopped outside. She waited for a while and saw the nurse running over with two or three blood transfusion bags.
More than ten minutes later, Director Zhang came running over. Mu Qiu quickly stood up and knelt down before Director Zhang.
"Doctor Zhang, you must save my mother! Please!"
Director Zhang calmly took Mu Qiu's hand away and said to her, "I will do my best. This is my duty." Doctor Zhang walked into the operating room, closed the door, and did not open it again for a long time.
Mu Qiu was like an ant on a hot pan, pacing anxiously in front of the operating room door.
At three o'clock in the morning, the door of the operating room was finally opened.
Director Zhang was the first to come out.
Mu Qiu was extremely nervous. When she saw Director Zhang coming out, she jumped up from her chair. "Doctor Zhang, my mother..."
Director Zhang didn't say anything. He took off his mask and stared at Mu Qiu quietly.
Mu Qiu was so frightened by those deep eyes that he forgot to speak.
"Ms. Mu, I'm sorry. Your mother has sustained intracranial bleeding and surgery has been ineffective. She doesn't have much time left."
Mu Qiu stumbled two steps and sat down on the ground. "The rescue is ineffective, time is running out?" Mu Qiu couldn't believe it was true.
Hearing the sound of wheels, Mu Qiu looked up at the operating room door and saw the nurses wheeling Du Tingting out. The bed was stained with blood. Du Tingting lay there, her head bleeding and her mouth trembling.
Mu Qiu crawled to Du Tingting's side on her knees. She cried and held Du Tingting's hand with trembling hands. "Mom, I'm Qiu'er. Can you hear me?"
Du Tingting rolled her eyes, her pupils trembling slightly, as she stared at Mu Qiu's face. Her lips moved a few times, as if she wanted to say something, but she had lost the ability to speak.
Mu Qiu felt as if her heart was being cut by a knife, and her shoulders slumped down from crying.
"Mom, does it hurt? Ah? Don't be afraid, Qiu'er is here with you!" Mu Qiu cried and reached out to wipe the blood off Du Tingting's head, but she couldn't wipe it clean.
She was panicked and upset, and she leaned on Du Tingting's shoulder and burst into tears.
Seeing Mu Qiu crying so sadly, the nurse couldn't bear it even though she was used to seeing life and death.
She advised Mu Qiu, "Ms. Mu, please stop crying. Your mother doesn't have much time left. Look at your family members and call them over. Maybe they can see your mother for the last time."
"My dad..." Mu Qiu thought of something, suddenly stood up, and ran out of the hospital with one foot deep and one foot shallow.
-
At night, it was quiet inside and outside the detention center. Because it was located in the suburbs, you could still hear the chirping of insects in the grass.
The policeman sitting in the duty booth suddenly heard a chaotic sound of footsteps. He looked up in surprise and saw a panicked, thin girl running to the door of the detention center.
The girl ran to the tall and solemn iron gate of the detention center and slammed her hands on it, making a shocking noise in the night.
Mu Qiu pressed his hands against the iron door and yelled at the inside of the detention center at the top of his lungs, "Dad! Dad, come out! Come out!"
"Dad! Come out quickly, Mom is dying. Come out and come with me to see her for the last time, okay!"
The police officer on duty came to his senses and rushed to Mu Qiu to stop her from yelling. "Girl, this is a detention center, you can't do anything stupid!"
Mu Qiu grabbed the police officer's hand and knelt down in front of him. "Uncle police officer! I beg you to be kind and let my dad out so I can take him to the hospital to see my mom!"
"My mom is dying. Can you please let my dad see her for the last time?"
When the shift changed, the police officer on duty had heard from his colleagues about what happened in the afternoon and knew that the wife of a criminal had suffered a sudden cerebral hemorrhage and was admitted to the hospital.
After hearing what Mu Qiu said, he asked, "Is your father Mu Mian?"
Mu Qiu nodded quickly, "Yes, my father is Mu Mian."
The policeman shook his head and told Mu Qiu, "Miss, if your father had committed other minor crimes, the higher-ups might have shown him some leniency and allowed him to see your mother for the last time."
"But your father, who has many lives on his shoulders, is a person of particular concern. We can't possibly let him go. Go back and stay with your mother."
Mu Qiu didn't know that Mu Mian had other murders on his shoulders. He was a little confused when he heard the news. "How many murders did you say my father has on his shoulders?"
"Yeah, he's killed three people before."
Mu Qiu was stunned. "How is it possible..." How could her father be such a kind person and a murderer?
In Mu Qiu's eyes, Mu Mian was a good husband and father who loved his wife and cared for his daughter. The most outrageous thing he had done was almost killing Song Fei!
