He carried two cups of tea on a tray and carefully walked to the outer room, placing the cups next to Han Dongliang and Han Zhan.
"Grandpa, Mr. Han, please try the Tieguanyin tea I brewed."
Han Dongliang stared at Jiang Zhen for a moment, then he looked at the cup of tea. It looked like the tea that could be brewed from Tieguanyin, but he didn't know what it tasted like.
Seeing that his grandfather refused to even extend his hand, Jiang Zhen began to get nervous again. Could it be that his tea was so bad that the old man couldn't drink it?
Jiang Zhen felt uneasy.
Han Dongliang finally stretched out his hands lazily and picked up the cup of tea. He took a sip and found it tasteless, almost bland.
It's obvious that he is a newbie.
"Well, it's okay." Han Dongliang said.
Hearing this, Jiang Zhen's face lit up with joy, and he said excitedly, "Then I'll bring some tea to Uncle Han and Auntie."
Jiang Zhen was very excited, like a child who had been praised. He went back to the inner tea room to get four cups of tea and then went to the front room.
In the front room, Han Wangwang was helping his mother cook in the kitchen, while Song Ci was chatting with Han Wangwang's grandmother.
Hearing footsteps, Grandma Han looked up towards the teahouse exit. She saw a handsome young man through her reading glasses, and she smiled with joy.
"Hey, this is Xiao Jiang!"
When Jiang Zhen heard the voice, he realized that it was Han Wangwang's grandmother who had returned.
He turned around and hurried towards the sofa.
Walking up to Song Ci and Grandma Han, Jiang Zhen called out sweetly, "Hello, Grandma. I'm Jiang Zhen."
Grandma Han looked at Jiang Zhen with satisfaction, secretly patted Song Ci's arm, and whispered in Song Ci's ear: "He is a handsome boy, very energetic."
Song Ci suppressed her laughter and nodded, saying, "Wangwang has a good eye. How could the person she chooses not be good-looking?"
Grandma Han is a bit like a child now that she's old. She said, "Hey, our Wangwang is just like me when I was young. He likes good-looking people. When I was young, I had so many admirers. Your uncle is just so good-looking. When he smiles, his lips are red, his teeth are white, and his eyes are curved. Otherwise, I wouldn't have looked down on that old man."
Song Ci silently ate a bellyful of dog food and said quickly: "Yes, yes, my aunt is beautiful, my uncle is good-looking, so the eldest brother he gave birth to is also handsome!"
"You're the only one who can talk!"
Grandma Han chatted with Song Ci for a few words, then waved to Jiang Zhen and said, "Come on, pass me the tea and have a sip."
"Okay."
Jiang Zhen handed the tea to Grandma Han with both hands. Grandma Han took the tea and drank it with satisfaction. Regardless of whether it tasted good or not, she sighed with satisfaction: "The tea is fragrant! Ah, it's time to drink the tea offered by my grandson-in-law in the blink of an eye."
After Grandma Han finished speaking, she put down the cup and naturally took out a red envelope and an old-fashioned pocket watch from the handmade Suzhou embroidery handbag at her side.
"Come on, good boy, take this. This red envelope is for you calling me grandma. This pocket watch is what your grandfather took to the battlefield and shed blood and tears with him. It seems to be broken, so I'll keep it as a reminder."
Jiang Zhen was surprised.
He stared at the pocket watch in a daze. He knew in his heart that the old man recognized him and wanted to give him a gift.
Jiang Zhen quickly squatted down to take the red envelope and pocket watch, and whispered, "Thank you, grandma."
Seeing that Jiang Zhen seemed to be moved to tears, Song Ci quickly said something to smooth things over: "Give me a cup of that tea you made."
"good."
Jiang Zhen handed the tea to Song Ci, then took the remaining two cups to the kitchen.
Han Wangwang took a sip of the Kung Fu tea and immediately frowned. "It's tasteless and not good. Didn't my grandfather say that the tea you brewed is not good?"
Jiang Zhen subconsciously said, "Grandpa said it's okay."
Han Wangwang immediately felt that today's incident was a good opportunity. If Grandpa really hated Jiang Zhen, he should have told him the truth. Jiang Zhen took a sip from the teacup in Han Wangwang's hand, frowned, and said, "It's not very tasty."
Han Wangwang suddenly rolled his eyes at him in reproach, "What are you doing? My mom is watching!"
Jiang Zhen turned around and saw Lin Jiao'e staring at the water cup in Han Wangwang's hand with a complicated expression. Jiang Zhen then realized that he had just shared a cup with Han Wangwang right under his mother-in-law's nose.
Jiang Zhen and Han Wangwang both blushed.
Lin Jiao'e stared at Jiang Zhen's red ears, and suddenly a passage flashed through her mind that she had seen somewhere before -
A boy who blushes easily can't be that bad, because he has a sense of shame.
Lin Jiao'e was filled with emotion. She handed the teacup to Jiang Zhen and said, "Your grandmother is old and a little confused. She speaks a little incoherently, please don't mind."
Jiang Zhen knew that Grandma Han had fallen a few years ago and had a blood clot in her brain. She had undergone surgery, but the results were not ideal.
Now that the Han family has not yet agreed to his relationship with Han Wangwang, Grandma Han is giving him a red envelope with a changed name and a token of trust. It is obvious that she is confused.
Jiang Zhen shook his head and said, "Grandma is fine, and so are my uncle, aunt, and grandpa." Compared with the disgusting Jiang family, the Han family are all living gods.
"Okay, my grandfather will probably have trouble with you again, so you better be smart and don't mess it up." Han Wangwang still had to help his mother cook and couldn't stay with Jiang Zhen all the time.
Jiang Zhen is an adult now, and when it comes to talking about marriage, he has to face the storm on his own.
Jiang Zhen carried four empty cups on a tray back to the tea room, where he sat down to study the secrets of Kung Fu tea.
