Chapter 115 Special Treatment

When a warm body pressed against his back, Li Ze instantly woke up from his sleep and opened his eyes.

The familiar temperature and familiar smell made him immediately guess the other person's identity.

"Let go!" Li Ze said coldly.

With his hands and feet restrained, Li Ze's murderous aura immediately emanated from him.

"Li Ze, you're being unreasonable," He Xingjue accused. "You know perfectly well that it wasn't my fault. I was drugged, and hurting you wasn't my intention. Last time you were drugged, I helped you out, and did I say anything afterward?"

"You helped me with your hands last time!" Li Ze said through gritted teeth.

“You could have helped me with your hands, but you didn’t,” He Xingjue said.

"You know perfectly well what my situation was like back then, how could I help you with my hands?" The mention of those days reignited Li Ze's anger and murderous intent, along with an inexplicable sense of shame.

How could He Xingjue do such a thing to him!

“It’s my fault. I shouldn’t have taken the medicine. If you’re still angry, you can stab me again.” He Xingjue said sincerely, “I’ll stab you as many times as I want, as long as you can give me a chance to make amends.”

Li Ze pursed his lips. He knew that it wasn't entirely He Xingjue's fault, but he couldn't let it go. He clearly remembered how He Xingjue had treated him those two days; he had made him wish he were dead.

Li Ze remained silent, but He Xingjue assumed he had softened and slightly relaxed his control over Li Ze. Unexpectedly, the quiet man suddenly sprang to his feet and kicked him off the bed.

With a click, the room lights came on.

He Xingjue lay on the ground, a look of astonishment on his face.

"Get out!" Li Ze said coldly.

“It’s getting late, I’ll just stay here for the night. Don’t worry, I’ll sleep on the sofa,” He Xingjue said. Without waiting for Li Ze to refuse, he got up and walked out of the room, considerately closing the door for Li Ze.

Li Ze stared blankly at the door. Three seconds later, he got off the bed and locked the door from the inside.

On the sofa, He Xingjue listened to the sound of the door locking. Instead of being angry, he smiled. At least he wasn't kicked out.

He Xingjue closed his eyes and fell asleep shortly afterward.

Inside the room, Li Ze, who hadn't heard a sound, closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.

One was tired from traveling, and the other was relieving someone's mental fatigue; both slept very soundly.

In the middle of the night, Li Ze woke up because of the heat.

The moment he opened his eyes, he met a pair of emerald green eyes. The owner of those eyes was pressed close to him, with soft fur covering most of his body.

"What are you doing here?" Li Ze frowned.

The snow wolf licked Li Ze's face with its tongue, making a low growl. The sound was soft, weak, and tinged with a hint of grievance.

Li Ze's brows furrowed even deeper. "Something's not right with you."

The snow wolf howled twice more.

Li Ze sat up, placed his hand on the snow wolf, and examined its body. "The energy within your body is fine, but your mental state—"

Li Ze stopped abruptly. He had been helping others sort out their mental seas these past few days, so he knew this kind of thing all too well.

It wasn't the snow wolf that had a problem, but rather He Xingjue's mental state!

Looking at the snow wolf howling and whimpering, Li Ze was caught in a dilemma.

He wanted to help Snow Wolf, but he was unwilling to help He Xingjue.

"Woo woo woo—" The snow wolf howled twice more, its eyes filled with tears, looking extremely pitiful.

Li Ze: "......"

I feel like I'm being controlled by a wolf!

In the end, Li Ze couldn't bring himself to do it and gritted his teeth, saying, "I'm helping Xue Lang, not He Xingjue."

Li Ze convinced himself, and his aggressive divine sense pierced through He Xingjue's mental barrier, carrying a sense of venting, ruthlessly destroying and scattering everything in his mental sea—

Watching those things vanish into thin air, Li Ze felt a sense of exhilaration.

While Li Ze was causing chaos in his mental world, He Xingjue on the sofa was in unbearable pain, his limbs twitching and spasming, and his clothes were soon soaked with sweat.

He only knew that something had entered his mind, but he didn't know what it was, nor could he stop it or even resist it.

This feeling of helplessness filled him with fear and dread, and even more so with worry. What was the other party going to do to him? Would they harm Li Ze, who was just a door away?

The thought that Li Ze might be in danger made He Xingjue grit his teeth and struggle to get up from the sofa.

However, he was in so much pain that his body seemed to be out of control. His feet had barely touched the ground when, in the next second, his body also crashed to the ground.

With a thud, the snow wolf in the room was startled.

The next second, the snow wolf appeared in front of He Xingjue, looking down at him with its large, bright green eyes filled with confusion, as if asking, 'What are you doing?'

"Snow Wolf, why did you come out of the room?" He Xingjue asked.

Snow Wolf rolled his eyes, ignored He Xingjue, and went back to bed through the locked door.

He Xingjue breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that nothing was wrong, otherwise the snow wolf would have been anxious long ago.

Since he advanced to 3S level, the snow wolf has become increasingly intelligent and less and less likely to take his master's words seriously.

He Xingjue sighed, "It feels like the child I raised with such difficulty has suddenly become someone else's."

Fortunately, this other person was Li Ze, and he was happy to see it happen.

Li Ze fought fiercely in He Xingjue's mental sea, slaughtering everything in his path. After finally destroying everything, he withdrew without any hesitation.

"Alright, you should go now." Li Ze patted the snow wolf's head and yawned.

As soon as he finished speaking, Li Ze fell asleep instantly.

The 3S Sentinel's spiritual sea is truly different; it has exhausted him.

In the living room, He Xingjue's eyes were clear. He chuckled softly, as if thinking of something. "It seems he's still quite angry and hasn't vented his anger yet."

Thinking of the expressions on the faces of the sentries who had been relieved by Li Ze, and recalling his own experience, he knew that he had been treated specially.

but--

He Xingjue smiled, at least he was willing to help him relieve his pain, which was a good sign.

Li Ze overslept again. When he turned on his personal terminal, he saw that it was already 11 a.m.

Furthermore, several messages appeared on his personal terminal, some from Chen Kaiyang and his two companions, and others from He Xingjue. All the messages informed him that they had helped him request leave.

Li Ze texted Chen Kaiyang, "How long did it take to invite him?"

"It's morning. Commander He is sparring with everyone right now." Chen Kaiyang not only replied to the message, but also sent Li Ze a video.

In the video, He Xingjue is fighting against someone, and he is also providing commentary while fighting, which is being listened to by the onlookers with great interest.
