Chapter 23 Li Family Manor

Li Ze considered that if he knew the Empire's largest mecha manufacturer, it would be much easier to buy a top-tier mecha.

It seems he'll have to attend this celebration banquet.

“Most importantly, His Majesty and all the princes and princesses will be attending the banquet.” Lan Shuang’s eyes sparkled.

Li Ze didn't respond to her words, but instead opened the invitation. The celebration banquet was in ten days. Fortunately, the time wasn't too rushed, and he could use these ten days to recuperate his broken body.

"Do you know where there's a boxing gym?" Li Ze asked, then added after thinking for a moment, "It doesn't have to be a boxing gym, any kind of competitive venue will do."

"What are you going to do in these places?" Lan Shuang asked, puzzled.

“Let’s go take a look,” Li Ze said, his pale and thin face giving off a strange sense of loneliness.

Lan Shuang thought about Li Ze's health and what he had gone through. If Li Ze had a healthy body, he should have been able to protect himself in this situation.

“There are many places like this on Vermilion Bird Star. I’ll take you there tomorrow,” Lan Shuang said.

With someone leading the way, Li Ze didn't refuse, saying, "Thank you."

"You're welcome," Lan Shuang said with a smile, her eyes curving into crescents.

Just then, the Li Family Manor arrived.

Li Ze got out of the car alone. Inside, Lan Shuang told him, "Contact me when you wake up, and I'll come pick you up."

Li Ze nodded slightly and hummed in agreement.

As soon as Li Zegang stood in front of the manor gate, the gate opened automatically and a mechanical voice announced, "Welcome home, Master."

Li Ze remained expressionless and walked towards the small mobility scooter beside him. He sat down, pressed the switch, and the scooter began to move slowly and steadily along the track. To stop, he simply pressed the button again.

The estate boasts a long history, blending modern technology with antique charm, featuring towering trees, meticulously manicured lawns, and a variety of rare and precious flowers...

Li Ze didn't understand these things very well, nor did he care much about them. He planned to clear away the lawn and build a mecha training ground.

The car quickly pulled up in front of a tall building, the place where Li Ze had lived for twenty years. Besides Li Ze, Old Master Li had also lived here before.

However, nowadays, apart from a few robots, only Li Ze is a living person in this huge house.

Others might find it empty and lonely, but Li Ze felt the opposite; he liked it very much.

"There's actually malevolent energy here," Li Ze exclaimed in surprise. "It's an earthly malevolent energy."

It seems that this place is not suitable for ordinary humans to live in for a long time.

However, he likes it.

As Li Ze absorbed the evil energy, he walked into the house. The interior was spotless, without a speck of dust, indicating that the robot cleaned it regularly every day.

Following his memory, Li Ze walked towards the original owner's room. Halfway there, he seemed to remember something and changed course to the guest room next door.

"Master, will you be sleeping in this room tonight?" the robot asked.

“Yes, we’ll sleep in this room from now on,” Li Ze said.

"Shall I move your things over here?" the robot asked again.

"No need. Have someone send over some new clothes and shoes. Leave the old ones there. Also, send over another dinner," Li Ze instructed.

"Yes." Upon receiving the instruction, the robot immediately got to work.

Li Ze went straight into the guest room, went straight to the bed, lay down, and immediately fainted.

This body has reached its limit after sustaining this for so long.

Li Ze slept soundly until it got dark before waking up.

The moment he opened his eyes, he had a disorienting feeling that he didn't know what year it was.

"Master, you're awake. Dinner is in the incubator. Would you like to eat now?" the robot asked.

Li Ze nodded and said, "I'll go wash my face first."

He could actually use the Cleanse spell, but this body was too weak, and he couldn't bear to waste a single bit of magic.

The dinner ordered by the robot was very lavish, with more than twenty dishes, each in very small portions, and all of them were light and bland.

It's suitable for his patient.

However, even though it's light, it still tastes delicious.

After eating and drinking his fill, Li Ze felt sleepy again.

He slowly walked back to his room from the restaurant. In the room, the robot had prepared clean clothes and toiletries for him. Li Ze took a shower and went back to sleep.

Meanwhile, Chen Kaiyang, Wang Duan, and Xu Zhou, who were far away in the Death Starfield, had just left Star 1 aboard a starship.

"We've entered the Star Sea." Wang Duan and Chen Kaiyang each turned on their personal computers and attempted to log into the Empire's Star Network.

Xu Zhou huddled close to them, his eyes filled with curiosity. This was his first time experiencing the outside world, even if it was through a quantum computer.

"Logged in!" Wang Duan's voice trembled.

Chen Kaiyang didn't say anything; his first action was to search for Li Ze's name.

"He's not dead! The big boss is still alive!" Chen Kaiyang's eyes reddened.

Wang Duan quickly skimmed through the text, feeling both angry and pleased. All his thoughts boiled down to one sentence: "It's good that the person is still alive."

As long as the big boss is still alive, they have a chance to leave the Death Starfield.

Xu Zhou looked at Chen Kaiyang and Wang Duan, who were crying tears of joy. Although he couldn't bear to discourage them, he still asked, "Are you sure he'll come back to save you?"

“We believe it,” Chen Kaiyang and Wang Duan said firmly.

After all, they had no other choice but to believe.

"Should we contact the second young master?" Wang Duan asked.

They work under the second young master, He Xingyang, and are supposed to be his people. But in less than a month, they have started to follow Li Ze's lead. In their hearts, He Xingyang is now ranked after Li Ze.

“Let’s get in touch then,” Chen Kaiyang said, and immediately sent a communication request to He Xingyang. However, the communication request was rejected, and when he tried to send it again, he found that it could not be sent.
