Chapter 65 Strange Thoughts



Li Ze hesitated; he actually preferred to pilot the mecha himself.

“You haven’t used any kind of firearms yet, so it would be best if you memorized all the relevant information about them,” He Xingjue advised. “Besides, I can demonstrate how to use them for you inside my mech.”

Li Ze was tempted. "Okay."

Li Ze was not the first person to ride in a mecha with He Xingjue, but he was the first and only person He Xingjue invited.

He was even willing to use bribes to get the other party into his mech.

The mecha's hatch opened, and He Xingjue leaped up, reaching out his hand as he stopped at the hatch. "I'll pull you up."

“No need.” Li Ze refused decisively. “Step back a little.”

A hint of regret flashed in He Xingjue's eyes, and he took two steps back.

Li Ze also leaped up, his movements even more graceful than He Xingjue's.

"You sit here." He Xingjue opened the passenger seat for Li Ze.

While examining the equipment inside the mecha, Li Ze obediently sat down in the co-pilot's seat.

"I'll look through the information first, then you can demonstrate it to me," Li Ze said.

He Xing disagreed, "Can you remember something after just one look? My advice is to memorize it."

“I can remember it after reading it once,” Li Ze emphasized.

“Remembering and memorizing are not the same thing,” He Xingjue said. If it were his soldiers, his requirements would be even stricter, demanding that they all be able to recite it fluently.

“By ‘remember,’ I mean memorize it word for word.” Li Ze glanced at He Xingjue. “If you don’t believe me, I can recite it for you.”

"Okay." He Xingjue raised an eyebrow, the corners of his mouth slightly upturned. He hadn't expected the other party to have such a competitive side.
