Chapter 27 Untitled

"What's wrong with your hand?" Bao Ning's heart shuddered, and she hurried to light the lamp.

Outside, the wind was howling, and the heavy rain was hitting the window sill, making a terrifying sound. A bright white lightning streaked across the sky, and the whole room was instantly as bright as day.

Bao Ning saw Pei Yuan's pale face.

Her hand trembled, and the fire was crooked. She quickly aimed, circled her hands to protect it, and walked towards Pei Yuan. Suddenly, he shouted, "Stop!"

Bao Ning was stunned by his shouting.

Pei Yuan threw the teacup in his hand to the ground, raised his hand to press his forehead, and closed his eyes tightly, intending to regain his consciousness.

He was cut at the base of his palm, and red blood was smeared on his forehead. Bao Ning's heart was pounding, and she squatted in front of him without paying attention to Pei Yuan's obstruction.

"How did you do that?" Bao Ning held his hand and examined it. There was a deep wound that could be seen on the bone. The edge was neat and sharp. It must be the injury from crushing the teacup just now. The blood could not stop flowing out.

"Wait here, I'll go back to get the wound medicine and bandage it for you." Bao Ning stood up and ran out in a hurry.

He was bleeding too much. Bao Ning was worried about this matter. She didn't pay attention to Pei Yuan's expression, let alone his gradually heavy breathing and the increasingly bloody eyes.

When she stepped out of the door, Bao Ning hesitated for a moment, and suddenly remembered the black figure who had just run away, and her back felt cold. She didn't know who that person was, what he came for, and whether he would come back. She realized that the man was dangerous, but now was not the time to think about that. The key thing was Pei Yuan's injury.

If the bleeding continued, he would die. He had cut a vital part, and the bleeding must be stopped as soon as possible.

The umbrella was thrown aside. The wind was very strong, blowing farther and farther away. Ah Huang ran out and circled around her. Bao Ning had no time to care. She rummaged through the box, took the hemostatic medicine and white cloth in her hands, and ran back to the east room in the rain.

Before she stepped in, the door slammed in front of her.

Pei Yuan's voice came from inside, hoarse and powerful: "Get out, the farther the better!"

Bao Ning stood there blankly. She didn't understand why he suddenly became so abnormal?

The heavy rain poured down from head to toe, making it hard to open one's eyes. Bao Ning wiped her face with her sleeve. She knew without looking in the mirror that she was like a drowned chicken.

She didn't have time to feel sad about Pei Yuan's change of attitude. She pushed his door hard: "Pei Yuan, what are you doing? Let me in!"

He might have used his back to push the door open. Bao Ning couldn't push it open. She turned around on the spot and saw the axe hanging by the wall. She threatened: "If you still do this, I will chop the door?" A

harsh friction sound came from the room. Bao Ning put her ear against the door panel and could guess that it was the sound of moving the cabinet. Pei Yuan pulled the cabinet over to block the door. It was so serious that Bao Ning couldn't push it open.

His legs were not good. How did he do it? Bao Ning was more worried about the wound on his hand. With such a big movement, the wound would burst and more blood would flow.

Bao Ning was angry and anxious. She pounded the door hard and shouted: "Pei Yuan, are you crazy?"

She took a deep breath, calmed down, and coaxed him: "Pei Yuan, listen to me and open the door, okay?"

A loud shout came from inside: "I told you to get out, can't you hear me?"

Bao Ning's eyes turned red because of his scolding.

Bao Ning took a deep breath and adjusted her mood.

She didn't dare to say how much she understood Pei Yuan, but she did understand him a little. These actions were not like him. Not knowing what happened, Bao Ning didn't dare to leave. She couldn't open the door, so she looked at the window. If Pei Yuan really didn't listen to her advice, she could only break the window and get in.

Glancing over, Baoning suddenly noticed something strange. There were three incense sticks lying on the ground near the window. They had been extinguished by the rain and fell into the mud.

Baoning suddenly realized something and covered his lips in shock.

...

Pei Yuan felt that he might really be crazy.

He couldn't suppress the restlessness and desire in his heart. He felt that his whole body was boiling with heat, and streams of blood rushed to his forehead. The violent factor buried in his heart was ready to move, urging him. He

wanted to kill people. He had an impulse to destroy everything.

Except for the year when he saw his mother's corpse, Pei Yuan had never been so crazy again.

But this time was different from that time. Another strange feeling swept over him. In addition to anxiety and depression, there was also an uncontrollable itching, crawling up from the bottom to the top along the veins. It seemed that there were countless small insects hiding in the blood vessels, gnawing at him. He

was eager to relieve it.

He was a man, he knew his own body, and naturally understood what this meant. The veins on Pei Yuan's forehead were throbbing, and he instantly thought of the sneaky figure outside the window. He was immediately furious and punched the wooden cabinet against the door. The force was so great that the mahogany immediately dented into a large piece, and even the house trembled three times.

I was ambushed!

The pain in his hand became more severe. Pei Yuan woke up for a moment and realized that he had to open the window for ventilation. He walked to the window panting heavily. He didn't have the patience to open it step by step. He pressed his hands on the outside of the window frame and pried it hard, removing the entire window.

The wood broke with a loud cracking sound, and the cold wind blew in.

Pei Yuan closed his eyes, feeling the cold and hard feeling of the rain hitting his face.

The wound on the base of his thumb was still bleeding, but he didn't feel any pain. He just felt that the blood was taking away the heat in his body and he felt comfortable.

Pei Yuan's jaw was clenched and his teeth were clattering. He tried hard to suppress the abnormality in his body, but his mind was out of control.

He couldn't help but think of Bao Ning.

He recalled the scene during the day when they leaned against the wall and Bao Ning leaned against his shoulders and arms. Her skin was white as snow, her neck was slender, and she had a faint fragrance. She was petite and gentle, like a cat.

Pei Yuan groaned, and could no longer restrain himself, so he reached his hand down.

He seemed to have smelled her scent again.

Bao Ning looked at him in disbelief, and trembled as he said, "Pei Yuan, what's wrong with you..."

Pei Yuan suddenly opened his eyes and met Bao Ning's frightened eyes.

She didn't know when she stood here. Her clothes had been wet by the rain and stuck to her body, outlining her delicate lines. She stood there delicately and frailly, and reached out her hand to touch him.

She touched it, her fingertips were slightly cool and moist, touching his hot skin, it was a rare relief, Pei Yuan's throat trembled, it felt like a person walking in a dry desert drinking a sip of cold water.

But, it was not enough.

Pei Yuan stared at her face without blinking. His eyes were fierce and red.

His left hand was on the window sill, and his right hand was still below.

"Pei Yuan..." Bao Ning froze. She regretted her recklessness, she shouldn't have been here, the abnormal man made her feel scared, Bao Ning took a half step back and turned around to escape.

But Pei Yuan grabbed her shoulder.

Baoning felt pain on her shoulder, and before she could struggle, she felt Pei Yuan's hand go through her armpit, and then her body suddenly lightened, and Pei Yuan had lifted her up.

He supported his body on the window sill with one hand, and wrapped the other hand around her chest, and with a brute force, he pulled her in from outside.

Pei Yuan's body was unstable, Baoning screamed and hugged his arm, and they both fell down. Pei Yuan pulled the wheelchair from the corner with his left hand, hugged her to his chest, spun her around, and sat steadily.

The wheelchair slid to the other side due to the force and hit the wall hard. Baoning didn't control her balance well, and her teeth hit Pei Yuan's collarbone hard, and also cut her lip. The fishy smell spread on the tip of her tongue, and she didn't know whose blood it was.

Everything happened in a flash. Baoning was soaked, trembling in Pei Yuan's arms with fear and shock.

Pei Yuan buried his head in her neck. He clasped her waist tightly. Baoning couldn't breathe and felt her waist was going to break.

Baoning hit Pei Yuan's shoulder: "Let me go!"

She felt strong in fear and pushed him hard again. Pei Yuan fell back. Baoning stood up hurriedly and took a few steps back, leaning against the wall opposite Pei Yuan.

The two were separated by a width of two meters. The wind blew in the rain, blowing the candles to flicker, and finally couldn't help it, and went out with a "hiss".

The room suddenly fell into darkness.

It was stormy outside with thunder and lightning. Baoning's heart was pounding, her hands and feet were weak, and she couldn't recover for a long time. Pei Yuan's fingers were digging into the handrail, and blood was dripping down.

He tried his best to endure it.

Baoning didn't dare to look him in the eye. The door was blocked, so she ran to the window, wanting to escape from there.

No matter how naive she was, she could guess that Pei Yuan's reaction was simply because he had been poisoned by that kind of drug. In the past, she only heard the servants joking that the people in the brothel liked to use that thing. How come Pei Yuan has become like this? Baoning didn't want to think about the cause and effect. She grabbed the window frame with both hands and wanted to climb out.

Pei Yuan's voice came from behind, very low, calling her name.

Bao Ning didn't know if she heard it wrong. She turned around to look at him. Pei Yuan's tall figure was trapped in the darkness, looking very painful. He

called her again: "Bao Ning."

His voice was broken and hoarse: "Help me."

After a pause, he added: "My hand hurts."

Bao Ning's tears were still on her face. She hesitated for a moment, but she couldn't bear it. She turned back and took a step away from Pei Yuan, crying: "I can't..."

"I'll teach you."

As he said that, he leaned over and grabbed her hand.

...

Bao Ning was so ashamed and angry that she wanted to die. Pei Yuan was exhausted and fell asleep on the kang.

Fortunately, in the dark, she didn't see anything, nor did she see Pei Yuan's expression. But just touching was enough to make her feel awkward and uncomfortable.

Her hands and wrists were sore. Baoning moaned and wanted to cry, but she felt that she was being hypocritical, so she decided to give up.

She touched her face with the back of her hand, and it was indeed very hot. She smelled musky scent on her hands, and Baoning made a bitter face. She rubbed her hands hard on Pei Yuan's clothes and went to wash her hands.

The rain had stopped outside, and it was completely dark. Baoning climbed out the window and went out, washing her hands so hard that she felt like she was peeling off two layers of skin. It was not until she smelled like jasmine soap that she felt better.

Baoning changed her clothes, sat in her room in a daze for a while, and resignedly took the medicine to serve Pei Yuan. She

applied medicine to his hands, bandaged them, looked at the blood on the ground, and thought of the female leech in the room. Baoning felt a little distressed. She might as well feed that leech.

What a waste.

Pei Yuan was breathing heavily, sleeping soundly, and snoring softly. Bao Ning knew that it was not his fault for what happened today, but she couldn't help getting angry, so she gently pinched his arm.

Pei Yuan frowned, and held her wrist with his backhand, holding it in his palm.

Bao Ning pulled her hand away.

She didn't dare to look at Pei Yuan now. If she looked at him, her heart would beat fast, her cheeks would get hot, and her mind would be full of bad things. Embarrassment and shame, she couldn't avoid it.

He, on the other hand, slept soundly.

Bao Ning pursed her lips, cut a piece of sturdy linen and hung it on the window to block the invading cold wind, rubbed her arms, and closed her eyes to rest on the kang away from Pei Yuan.

Bao Ning was still afraid in her heart. She didn't know who the person who lit the incense was and whether he would come again. She didn't dare to sleep alone. She could only squeeze in with Pei Yuan for the night.

The room was a mess. She didn't have the energy to clean it up. She thought about getting up early tomorrow, so she fell asleep.
