Wei Li wasn't angry at all; he even pecked Zhao Xiheng's lips again. This action made her feel like she had punched a cotton ball. If she could move, she would bounce up and bump into him.
Seeing that she was very obedient, Wei Li kissed her again and again as if he had received a new toy, and even touched her waist, as if he was about to continue.
"I'm hungry." Zhao Xiheng bit his lip hard, feeling dizzy.
Is this ever going to end? It's been going on since yesterday afternoon until this morning, and it's still happening now? Are you sick in the head? Are you sick in the head?
Everyone else absorbs yang energy, but he's absorbing yin energy to replenish yang, right? He doesn't look weak at all.
Wei Li buried his face in her neck to calm his heavy breathing.
The lights are on, which means it's time for dinner.
Zhao Xiheng had not eaten or drunk anything for a day and a night, and felt so hungry she could eat a whole cow.
But her whole body ached, especially her lower body, which felt burning. She wanted to apply some medicine and then get dressed, but Wei Li showed no intention of leaving.
She could only close her eyes in despair and say, "Go out for a moment."
"do what?"
"I need to get dressed."
Wei Li leaned closer, intrigued. "I'll help you."
Then he went downstairs, opened the closet, and prepared to choose clothes for her. He was quite interested in helping Zhao Xiheng take off her clothes or help her put them on.
Zhao Xiheng blushed, a rare occurrence, her face burning as if she were about to boil an egg. "I don't need you."
He has no other skills, but he's always eager to take advantage of her.
Wei Li ignored her and instead picked up a light pink bra and a moon-white bra from the closet, asking her, "Which color do you like?" Then he picked out the light pink one, saying, "I like this one."
The one he picked out had the least amount of fabric and two thin straps on the back.
Zhao Xiheng blushed again, and reluctantly crawled into bed, covering her head with the covers.
Which book did Wei Li read, or did he read them all? How come he suddenly seemed to have his Ren and Du meridians opened up?
"Zhao Xiheng, get up, get dressed, and eat." He nudged the ball of hair that had curled up into a ball.
"I'm not going, I'll dress myself." Zhao Xiheng sullenly shrank inside.
"Can you still move by yourself?" He pulled back the blanket, and Zhao Xiheng's face was already red from lack of oxygen.
“I haven’t seen that part of you,” he continued. “Really, no need to cover it up, it’s not big.”
Zhao Xiheng had already started grinding her teeth. "You were touching it yesterday, weren't you?" And you kept biting it.
Wei Li retorted confidently, "What's wrong with me touching you? You won't let me touch you?"
He then touched her again, saying, "You're my wife, who else would you let touch me if not me?"
"Bastard!" Her eyes were red, this was the first time she had ever cursed anyone, then she shrank back into the blankets, refusing to come out no matter how Wei Li called or pulled her.
After a while, a rustling sound of fabric could be heard. Wei Li stood up, perhaps because his patience had run out.
"Then you might as well go hungry if you don't come out."
He left after saying that.
Zhao Xiheng was so angry she wanted to pound the bed. Her eyes were red and she felt a little wronged. They had just finished sleeping together last night and the person had already turned on her. It seemed like he got all the benefits.
You coax and soothe your baby to sleep, but once they're asleep, they're no longer your little darling.
None of the men are reliable; they're all awful!
She was so angry that she no longer felt hungry. She wiped away her tears, cursing Wei Li as she prepared to go back to sleep.
Given the chance, who would want to be with him?
Someone nudged the blanket again, and Wei Li placed something on a small table to the side.
"Rise, Zhao Xiheng."
Zhao Xiheng was still angry with him and didn't want to talk to him at all.
Wei Li didn't say anything, but patiently dug her head out of the blankets, then wrapped her body tightly with the blankets, and then held her up to sit up.
"You cried?" He gently touched the corner of Zhao Xiheng's red eyes with his fingertip, his heart skipping a beat. "Such a pathetic sight?"
"Then go find someone successful. Do you think I want to be with you?" If Wei Li had said this to her normally, Zhao Xiheng wouldn't have been angry at all. But the situation was different. She was still in pain, and Wei Li was bullying her like this.
Zhao Xiheng seemed genuinely angry, and Wei Li felt a pang of sadness. Not knowing what to say, he simply pulled her, blanket and all, into his arms and asked weakly, "How about we eat?"
He knew that Zhao Xiheng didn't like him, but she was always obedient and never said a word.
He's making me angry, so I blurted out what was on my mind without thinking.
But Xie Qingyu was still living next door, and Wei Li couldn't even comfortably pinch Zhao Xiheng's chin and question her like before, "If you don't like me, who else do you want to like?"
Asking such a question is simply asking yourself a disgrace.
He wasn't unaware that Zhao Xiheng wasn't entirely willing yesterday afternoon, but fortunately, after some probing, she became less angry as she half-heartedly resisted.
He's disgusting and heartless. Suddenly, a former fiancé, her childhood sweetheart, appears and tries to steal her away from her. Naturally, he can't agree to that.
Although everyone knows they are husband and wife, their marriage is in name only. What if that pretty boy tricks her into leaving with him? After all, she doesn't really like him, so he subconsciously wants to be a real husband and wife with her.
"Have some water first." He then wrapped the blanket around Zhao Xiheng even tighter and held the water glass to her lips.
Zhao Xiheng's throat was also dry, so she lowered her head and began to drink water little by little from his hand.
This is Wei Li's way of admitting defeat. She's such a paper tiger; she can't win an argument with her, yet she still insists on being sarcastic.
With just a slight lowering of his head, Wei Li could touch the top of Zhao Xiheng's head. She had just been pulled out of bed, and even her hair was warm and slippery.
He wrapped his arms around Zhao Xiheng from behind, tightening his grip, and then lowered his head to peck at the top of her head, as if he were accidentally brushing against it.
Zhao Xiheng drank three cups of water in a row before her parched throat felt a little better, but her head was still dizzy.
"Let's eat." Wei Li wanted to kiss her cheek, but she would get angry and cry, so he had to give up.
Then I pulled Xiaoji over and fed her bite by bite.
"I want some soup." Zhao Xiheng was also hungry, and since she could enslave Wei Li, she naturally wanted to make him do whatever he wanted.
Wei Li blew on the soup in the spoon, touched it with his lips to make sure the temperature was just right, and then fed it to her. "Is there anything else?"
"shrimp."
Then Wei Li bent down to peel the shrimp. He usually didn't like peeling shrimp with shells and thorns because it was too much trouble.
He removed the shrimp heads, his hands covered in sauce stains, and frowned. "Why do shrimp have shells?"
I removed the whole shrimp meat, dipped it in some of the broth, and then fed it to her.
Is there anything else?
"We also want to eat shrimp and fish." Wei Li doesn't like eating fish and shrimp because peeling and picking out bones is too troublesome, and Zhao Xiheng knows this very well.
We should make trouble for him while we still can, since he didn't use his mouth properly earlier.
"Zhao Xiheng, you're such a hassle," Wei Li complained, then continued peeling shrimp and removing bones for her.
His stomach rumbled, and his pale, almost white face showed a hint of embarrassment.
"Here." She raised her hand and gave him one of her shrimp pieces.
The wool comes from the sheep's back; if you want to better enslave others, you have to give them a little sweetness. Wei Li is still very easy to fool.
After eating what Zhao Xiheng fed him, Wei Li peeled shrimp with even more enthusiasm.
Xie Qingyu lived in the next courtyard. Originally, Wei Li did not intend to send him any servants, planning to let him support himself. However, he thought he should be magnanimous and not petty, so he selected two of Zhao Xiheng's maids and sent them over.
Both of them were exceptionally talkative and lively.
Even without Xie Qingyu asking, the two of them could almost recount all the little things Zhao Xiheng and Wei Li did in their daily lives.
Xie Qingyu was eating when two maids watched him with smiles, making his scalp tingle.
"Is the young master a friend of the lady from Jinyang? Is that why the lord is so polite to you?"
Xie Qingyu thought for a moment and nodded, "I guess so."
"My lord said that if you have any needs, you can just go next door to tell the lady. The lady manages all the money in the manor."
Each address of "Madam" felt like a knife to Xie Qingyu's heart, but upon hearing that Zhao Xiheng was in charge of the household finances, he couldn't help but ask, "Does your lord have a good relationship with your madam?" He paused, "...?"
When this was mentioned, they nodded quickly, "Of course it's good."
"Although the lord is a fierce man, he is the best to the lady. He listens to everything she says."
Wei Liqiang could tell that he was reluctant to let Zhao Xiheng go, and Xie Qingyu could tell as well.
"The lady is also good to the lord, and she always makes clothes for him."
Xie Qingyu felt a pang of heartache. Zhao Xiheng was pampered and had never done needlework for anyone, yet she made clothes for Wei Li, which showed that she also had feelings for Wei Li.
Recalling Zhao Xiheng's description of Wei Li yesterday, she instinctively defended Wei Li, saying he was easy to talk to. If Wei Li hadn't shown her favoritism, how could she have received such incorrect information that differed from others' perceptions?
If they were truly in love, how could he possibly take Ah-Dan away?
The maid's statement was not wrong. Zhao Xiheng made clothes herself, which was also making clothes for Wei Li. Whether she asked someone else to make clothes for Wei Li, it was still making clothes.
Once the information was gathered, he ended up being the villain. Xie Qingyu was somewhat dejected and couldn't eat. He told someone to pack up and leave so he could be alone and have some peace and quiet.
It was late and the dew was heavy here, and Zhao Xiheng was all alone. After finishing her dinner, Wei Li used a damp cloth to wipe her hands and face, and then coaxed her to sleep.
"Go eat." She was a little sleepy, but she still remembered that Wei Li was going to eat dinner, so she drowsily pushed him away.
"I'm not hungry, don't worry about it." Wei Li patted her back and pulled her into his arms.
Since he said he wasn't hungry, Zhao Xiheng didn't bother with him. The late spring night was still a bit chilly, and someone had offered to warm her up, so why was she turning away?
Neither of them seemed to realize that just two weeks ago, they were sleeping separately, each with their own blanket. Then, occasionally, they would wake up to find themselves sleeping together. Now, they've automatically accepted sharing a blanket.
