Gu Shi opened the door unexpectedly smoothly. With just a slight push, the door was already half open. They both looked up at the same time and were instantly attracted by something.
There was nothing unusual elsewhere in the room, except for a giant purple cocoon floating quietly in the center of the bed.
It emits a faint purple light all over its body, and it flickers regularly, like a beating heart, making people involuntarily breathe according to its rhythm.
The surface of the cocoon has a delicate texture and looks like it is made up of countless silk threads woven together.
Dense purple silk threads extend from its body and stick to the surrounding walls. It seems that this giant cocoon relies on these silk threads to maintain its current suspended state.
Countless dreamy light spots of the same color are floating in the surrounding air. They are like catkins, constantly sinking and floating in the air, and flashing at the same time following the frequency of the cocoon.
As the giant cocoon breathes, new spots of light continue to emerge from it.
The presence of these light spots filled the entire room with a mysterious atmosphere. At first glance, Gu Shi and the others looked like they had accidentally entered a fairy tale world.
There were no windows in the room and the curtains were drawn tightly. The only light source was the glowing cocoon and those light spots. The surroundings were illuminated by soft purple light, giving it a dreamy feeling.
Gu Shi was not deceived by this false tranquility. His heart was beating wildly and his intuition kept giving him warnings.
Run, run!
The things in this room are definitely not fun!
It seemed that Gu Shi's action of opening the door disturbed the existence in the room, and the flashing frequency of the giant cocoon suddenly became faster.
Those purple light spots that were floating slowly paused for a moment when they saw the two people standing at the door of the room. The next second, they rushed towards them one after another.
Gu Shi came back to his senses immediately. He slammed the door shut, picked up Anthony, who was still in a daze, and ran away quickly.
Although Gu Shi had closed the door, the purple light spots were not blocked by the wooden door and they passed through it easily.
Perhaps because they had been discovered, these light spots no longer hid their existence. Except for a small number of them chasing Gu Shi, the other light spots continued to penetrate the wall of Anthony's house and flew out to the street.
If someone happened to look this way right now, they would be able to witness a very dreamy scene. The purple light spots were like fireflies, spreading outward with Anthony's house as the center.
Gu Shi, who was still running, had no idea what was happening outside. He held Anthony under his armpit with one hand, used the handrail beside him, and slid down the stairs quickly.
I can only say that it’s a good thing that Anthony is not too heavy and is relatively thin, otherwise he would not be able to perform such difficult moves.
Gu Shi quickly reached the platform on the second floor. He quickly glanced around and then rushed into one of the rooms.
Anthony's parents, who were talking in the room, were startled by Gu Shi's actions.
Seeing his somewhat anxious movements, Anthony's father asked, "What's wrong? Did something happen to Mr. Asher? Gu Shi, why are you taking Anthony in this way? Put him down quickly."
Gu Shi handed Anthony, who was still a little dizzy, over and said, "I'll explain it later. You all stand behind me."
Anthony's father was about to say something, but was interrupted by Gu Shi's action.
Gu Shi held the staff tightly in his hand, released a barrier to protect the four of them, and then looked vigilantly towards the door.
Almost immediately after they entered the door, those purple spots of light followed. Facing the barrier set up by Gu Shi, they ran in easily as if they were penetrating the wall.
Seeing this, Gu Shi threw out several wind blades in succession, but unfortunately this attack was also ineffective against these light spots. The wind blades passed through these light spots directly and hit the wall behind.
"Tsk, what on earth is this?"
As if to enjoy the pleasure of cat and mouse, the purple spots of light did not rush towards them directly, but blocked the four people in this small room and forced them into the corner step by step.
Seeing that these purple light spots were still approaching them, Gu Shi could only start rummaging through the alchemical props in the space ring.
His hand speed was very fast, activating one prop in one second. After trying more than a dozen props, he finally found something useful.
The next second after Gu Shi activated the prop in his hand, the light spot that had occupied most of the room was brushed away from them by an invisible force.
Gu Shi finally breathed a sigh of relief, "Huh, great, this is useful."
He picked up the alchemical item in his hand and took a look at it. If he remembered correctly, the function of this item was to defend against attacks on the soul.
Gu Shi also wore a prop with the same function on his body. This was something Field had specifically warned him about. After all, attacks on the soul were basically impossible to defend against, so they could only prepare early.
The purple light spots that were bounced away were somewhat unwilling. They hit the transparent wall in front of them with force, staring at the four people inside.
Seeing that Gu Shi's expression finally relaxed, the Anthony family, who had been afraid to breathe, finally breathed a sigh of relief.
Anthony, who had watched the entire process, immediately asked, "Brother Gu Shi, what are those purple dots?"
When Gu Shi pushed open the door just now, Anthony was busy marveling at the wonders in the room. Before he could take a few more glances, Gu Shi grabbed him and started running for his life.
