After handing over the business card, the matter was over and Gu Shi didn't take it to heart. However, while waiting to return to Blue Star, he heard some follow-up from the discussions of passers-by.
The school acted quickly and eradicated the gang before the time-space gate opened. It is said that many people were arrested.
The school showed no mercy to those involved in this incident and decisively adopted severe punishment measures to make an example of them and suppress those who had ulterior motives.
With the experience of going home last time, Gu Shi got a ride familiarly and successfully knocked on the door of his home at dusk. He was warmly cared for by his father and mother.
The days after returning to Blue Star were very peaceful. In fact, they were not much different from Gu Shi's life in the other world. He spent his days tending to trees, playing with birds, and studying magic. Except that he no longer had to go to Field every now and then, everything else was no different from before.
Under Gu Shi's careful care, a small pointed bud emerged from the flowerpot and grew day by day. In just three months, it had grown to the height of a finger.
During this period, the system would occasionally send some special fertilizers for Gu Shi to sprinkle into the flowerpots.
Compared with ordinary trees, this growth rate is indeed a bit slow, but when Gu Shi thought about how long it took it to sprout, he was very surprised at the current growth rate.
That day, Gu Shi, as usual, channeled his magic power into the small bud in the flowerpot, placed it steadily on the table, then called Shu Feng to sit on his shoulder and prepared to go out for a walk.
But when Gu Shi just grasped the door handle, he suddenly heard a terrified scream from downstairs, followed by all kinds of panic and noisy sounds.
What's going on?
Gu Shi frowned, with a bad feeling in his heart. He opened the door and quickly walked to the balcony to find out what was going on.
He quickly scanned the bustling crowd downstairs and found that most people's faces revealed a sense of panic, and many people were frantically looking for places to hide, as if they had encountered a monster.
There were even a small number of people who sat there in a daze, their eyes wide open, mouths slightly open, and their expressions like stiff sculptures, staring up at the sky with a terrified look on their faces.
Seeing this scene, Gu Shi couldn't help but feel suspicious: Could it be that something terrible appeared in the sky?
He raised his head following the gaze of those people, and the moment he saw the situation clearly, even Gu Shi, who was always calm and composed, could not help but stand there in a daze.
"What's this?"
Gu Shi muttered to himself unconsciously.
I saw an extremely huge crack appear inexplicably in the originally blue sky!
This crack was like a hideous scar, tearing the entire sky apart. The inside of the crack was as dark and deep as an endless abyss, with no end in sight.
But even though the darkness in the crack was so thick that it was almost impossible to dissolve, Gu Shi could clearly feel that countless pairs of malicious and greedy eyes were staring at him through the crack.
The feeling of being watched and coveted was so strong and real, as if countless cold and sticky bugs were slowly crawling over his body. He couldn't help but shudder all over, and instantly got covered in goose bumps.
Gu Shi tried to avert his gaze from the crack, but for some reason, the crack seemed to have a magical attraction that held his gaze tightly and wouldn't let him leave.
"Oh my god, what's going on?!"
It was not known how long had passed before a scream and the sound of breaking glass finally woke Gu Shi up. He turned around and found that the person who made the noise was Gu's mother who had gone out to pour water.
Mother Gu happened to be making potions in the specially renovated potion room at home. The soundproofing there was very good, so she did not hear the commotion outside.
After working for a long time, Mrs. Gu felt a little thirsty, so she took a cup and came out to pour some water.
When she walked into the living room, she saw Gu Shi standing on the balcony. She was about to call him, but she caught a glimpse of a crack in the sky out of the corner of her eye, and she screamed in shock.
"Mom! Don't look!"
Seeing that Gu Ma looked a little dazed, Gu Shi quickly ran over and covered her eyes.
Gu Shi didn’t know what the crack in the sky was, but he could tell with the naked eye that it was definitely not a good thing.
After helping Gu Ma to the sofa nearby, Gu Shi quickly closed the balcony curtains, poured a cup of hot water into Gu Ma's hand, and began to pick up the broken glass on the ground.
Only after Gu Shi finished this series of actions did Gu's mother gradually come to her senses.
Mother Gu's hands were trembling slightly. After holding the cup and drinking a few sips of hot water, she suddenly stood up.
There was an unusual tremor in her voice. "Oh no! Your dad is still outside! He drove out, and the situation outside is like this..."
Gu Shi walked over quickly and put his arm around Gu Ma's shoulders. He patted Tian's back gently and comforted him, "Don't worry, Mom. Dad is still carrying the defensive gear I gave him. Let alone an ordinary car accident, even if he encounters a meteorite, he will be fine.
If you don’t believe me, just give him a call and you’ll know.”
With Gu Shi's comfort, Gu's mother finally regained her usual calmness.
She put her hands on her chest and said, "It's so strange. What happened to me just now? I always felt uncontrollably panicked. I'm feeling a little better now."
Gu Shi breathed a sigh of relief. "I'm glad you're okay, Mom. Let's call Dad first. I don't know how he's doing over there."
