The sixth wall was finally a puzzle they were good at. Although the question was complicated, they still solved it after spending nearly two hours.
After passing this wall, there are no forks in the road for a long time.
Zhang Nan speculated excitedly: "Are we almost there?"
Zhang Bei looked at the map and said, "It's very likely. Everyone, be careful and alert."
A group of people continued to move forward along the straight passage, and after about ten minutes, they came to a circular hall.
The hall was connected to many identical passages, and they came out from one of them.
Ji Wen said, "It seems this is the very center of the maze."
Qin Yao said puzzledly: "Strange, why is there no exit? Could it be that our guess is wrong?"
Ji Wen suggested, "Based on the increasing difficulty of the levels since we came here, we shouldn't have gone wrong. Let's all look around, maybe there's some trap."
Everyone scattered.
Gu Shi thought about it and began to feel around on the walls. Zhang Bei had said before that the two adventurers fell because they had triggered a mechanism on the wall. Perhaps the mechanism here was also on the wall.
Unfortunately, Gu Shi touched the entire wall but couldn't find any bumps or places to press.
Just as he was about to change the wall to continue searching, Wu Zhenxing seemed to have discovered something.
"Come here quickly, the mechanism seems to be here."
After hearing his voice, the others gathered around.
Wu Zhenxing stepped lightly on a brick on the ground, and the brick actually dented a little.
"Looks like this is it." Zhang Bei said, "Everyone, get ready, get ready, and activate the system."
Gu Shi gripped the staff tightly in his hand and looked around vigilantly.
After Wu Zhenxing pressed the mechanism, the ground began to vibrate, and accompanied by the roar of stones rubbing against each other, the floor of the hall began to rise slowly.
When he realized this, he looked back and saw that the stone wall above his head was slowly opening, revealing a deep and dark tunnel behind it.
Zhang Bei also noticed the changes above his head. Before the light source was completely swallowed up, he took out a flashlight from the space to prevent them from falling into complete darkness.
After adjusting to the surroundings, Zhang Nan said, "This thing is a bit like an elevator. It's quite advanced."
Ji Wen raised his head and said, "I don't know what's up there. It's a pity that we can't tell the direction after falling down. Otherwise, we would be able to roughly determine where we are in the Warcraft Forest."
"There is light, we are almost there." Zhang Bei squinted his eyes, and there was light coming through the top of the tunnel.
The exit of the tunnel is a room that looks like a prison cell. The space is quite spacious, but the room is empty. There is a small, tightly closed door on the back wall, and a huge iron door in front.
As soon as the mechanism under their feet stopped, the sound of metal friction was heard again, and the iron door in front of them opened.
Zhang Bei narrowed his eyes and said, "Let's go."
The team slowly walked out of the iron gate.
Unexpectedly, there was a huge arena outside the door.
After they walked out of the iron gate, they stood at one end of the ring. There was an identical iron gate opposite the ring. The outer circle of the ring was a circle of audience seats arranged in a stepped manner. In the middle of the audience seats, there was actually a building similar to a VIP room.
Zhang Nan couldn't help but complain, "What the hell is this place? It's a maze and an arena."
Gu Shi replied: "It should be a relic."
"Ruins?" Zhang Nan looked over in confusion.
The other people in the team were also unfamiliar with this term.
Gu Shi explained, "Haven't you heard? About a thousand years ago, a brutal battle took place on this continent. All races were drawn into the struggle, and the flames of war spread to every corner of the continent.
Because the fighting was so intense, a lot of knowledge was lost in that war, and even civilization was almost interrupted. The current human empire was rebuilt on the ruins of that time.
Therefore, buildings left over from that war are found from time to time in various places, and these buildings are collectively referred to as ruins.”
Gu Shi had come across this knowledge when he was researching life magic, but he didn't expect it to come in handy here.
Zhang Bei and his companions had only been exposed to knowledge about magical beasts, magical plants, and the like, and this was the first time they had heard of the word ruins.
Just as they were chatting, the iron gate opposite suddenly opened.
Zhang Bei noticed it immediately and warned, "Everyone be careful."
The others who heard the reminder also immediately became alert.
But the strange thing was that there was no movement behind the open iron gate. They stood there waiting for more than ten minutes, but nothing happened.
Seeing this, Zhang Bei ordered: "Xiao Nan, go and take a look."
"good."
Zhang Nan took out a dagger, went into stealth mode, and disappeared from everyone else's sight.
After a few minutes, Zhang Nan appeared again.
"I went in and took a look. There was nothing inside except a pile of bones and a magic crystal." Zhang Nan took out a magic crystal.
Gu Shi took the faded magic crystal from his hand and looked at it. "The magic power inside is almost gone."
Qin Yao joked, "It seems our opponents have already starved to death."
Zhang Nan asked, "Why are the magic crystals we got in the maze intact?"
"It might be because of those air walls." Ji Wen said, "What should we do next?"
