There were still 35 minutes until the end of the shift, and there were quite a few people waiting to see the doctor in the internal medicine department. The corridor was not very wide and was a bit noisy, with people rushing by and waiting patients and their families.
A couple sat on a bench. The husband's face was sallow, and beads of sweat covered his forehead. He was hunched over, his hands covering his abdomen, as if enduring great pain. His wife sat next to him, holding his hand tightly, her eyes never leaving her husband's face.
Her lips trembled slightly as she whispered comfortingly, "Hold on a little longer, the doctor will be here soon." Her other hand kept rubbing the corner of her clothes, revealing her inner uneasiness.
There was an elderly woman, probably accompanied by her grandson. He sat nearby, playing a game on his phone, but every once in a while he would glance up at the doctor's office door with a hint of impatience. The elderly woman sat quietly, a dazed look in her eyes, her hands rubbing the corners of her clothes.
There are other patients with different conditions and expressions.
Suddenly, Liu Jingze's originally gentle gaze became sharp. He saw two familiar people. Su Tiantian also saw them, but after looking up at Liu Jingze, she remained expressionless. The two people did not notice them. They seemed to only have eyes for each other.
After turning the corner and no longer seeing them, Liu Jingze turned around, whispered a few words into Yun Suiyang's ear, then took the things in his hand, and Yun Suiyang quickly left.
The others didn't ask any more questions and continued walking towards the door of the outpatient building and towards the parking lot.
"Brother Jing, Brother Jing, Qiaoyi gave birth naturally to a son weighing 6.9 catties. Both mother and child are safe." Su Tiantian said excitedly.
As soon as they got in the car, Liu Jingze helped her fasten her seatbelt and said, "That's good. The baby's finally born. We'll go visit them then. You can stay at home for dinner with Liu Zhihao. Dad has asked the farm to prepare the food, and it will probably be delivered home soon."
Su Tiantian said: "Just tell him, it's not like you don't know him."
Liu Jingze stood up and said, "I said I was afraid he would be shy and embarrassed to stay."
Sister Lan, who was sitting in the back row, said, "Mr. Liu is really considerate, but Mr. Su is not an outsider either. Just tell him the truth. He often brings things over, and he must want to spend more time with Mrs. Liu."
Su Tiantian said: "Zhihao said that if he didn't come to the hospital to pick me up, my mother would come. I thought that my mother couldn't drive and would have to arrange for someone to pick me up, so it would be better for him to come."
Liu Jingze said: "Then when you have a break in a couple of days, go back to your parents' home for dinner. Your parents-in-law really miss you."
