Chapter 299 Caravan

Chapter 299 Caravan

Su Nuobai looked at Gao Yuan who had turned into green smoke: "You think you can fool me with this little trick? I am really stupid."

Gao Yuan turned into green smoke, and the paper man in front was stunned for a moment, then quickly turned into a black ghost and fled in all directions.

"Isn't it a little too late to run away now?" The spiritual power in her hands turned into countless small daggers and flew towards these black ghosts.

All that could be heard in the forest at night was the howling of ghosts and wolves, as if it had suffered some devastating disaster.

Su Nuobai didn't care whether the spiritual dagger was still chasing the black ghost, and walked to the black coffin they had left.

He kicked the coffin lid open with a light kick and saw Gao Yuan lying inside.

She was wearing a royal blue shroud, two round pink flowers painted on her face, and a small round hat on her head.

No matter how you look at it, it looks like a paper figurine from a paper-making shop.

She raised her hand and a stream of spiritual power hit Gao Yuan's abdomen.

"Ugh!" Gao Yuan immediately sat up, leaned over the side of the coffin and spit out a mouthful of black stuff.

"Cough cough cough, where is this place?" He covered his aching head with his hand and asked vaguely.

"It's a good thing you woke up. If you didn't wake up, I could find a place to bury you, and you wouldn't have to prepare anything else." Su Nuobai saw that everything he had was ready.

Gao Yuan looked up at Su Nuobai: "Who are you? Why are you in my room?"

"Are you sure this is your room? Why don't you take another closer look?" Su Nuobai raised her eyebrows and looked at him.

Gao Yuan looked down at the clothes on his body: "What is this?"

He looked at where he was lying and jumped out of the coffin in fear: "Why am I lying in a coffin?"

"Where is the amulet your wife gave you?" Su Nuobai asked him.

"I wear it on my body." Gao Yuan said as he was about to touch the amulet on his neck, but it was empty.

"I was clearly wearing it, how could it be gone?" He became a little anxious.

"Think about it again." Su Nuobai looked at him and said.

Gao Yuan slowly calmed down and began to recall what happened: "I set out with the caravan and arrived at an inn ahead."

"The innkeeper was very welcoming and even treated us to some drinks. The amulet accidentally fell out."

"When he saw it, he curiously asked me what it was. I told him it was a talisman for protection, and he asked me if it worked."

"I told him my wife said it was very effective, and he asked if he could take a look. I thought it would be fine in a moment, so I took it off and handed it to him."

"Then I saw everyone in the caravan was drunk and fell asleep on the table. I was about to ask the boss about it, but I fell asleep myself."

"I don't remember anything after that."

Su Nuobai looked at him and said, "You have come across a ghost inn. The ghost who asked you for the talisman died on the spot. Otherwise, I wouldn't feel any danger."

"They wanted you to die in their place. Your fortune was better, so they even prepared a coffin for you. Others weren't so lucky."

"Are you Master Su?" Gao Yuan said belatedly.

"Yeah." Su Nuobai said and walked forward.

"Master Su, how are the people in the caravan?" Gao Yuan hurriedly caught up with her.

"Just go and take a look and you'll know." Su Nuobai didn't know whether these people were still alive.

However, they did put some thought into letting Gao Yuan die in his place, but I don't know if they put any thought into preparing coffins for other people.

Gao Yuan looked at the dilapidated and gloomy inn in front of him, and his hair stood on end with fear.

Su Nuobai felt the presence of a living person inside, so he kicked the gate open.

The yard was filled with coffins, paper money was scattered all over the ground, and a few lanterns were swaying back and forth in the wind under the eaves.

Su Nuobai formed seals with his hands, concentrated his spiritual power into his palms and attacked the inn: "Do you think you'll be fine if you hide?"

A figure rushed out from inside and fled outside, but before leaving the yard, he was tied up by a spiritual chain and pulled back.

"Why are you running away in such a hurry now?"

The male ghost on the ground struggled to escape: "Human, you've already saved me, what else do you want?"

Su Nuobai looked at the male ghost on the ground and said, "He's doing pretty well! He even opened an inn here to help these wandering ghosts find scapegoats."

He pointed at Gao Yuan and said, "He's your scapegoat, right? After being here for so many years, it's not easy to finally find the right one."

"I don't know what you're talking about." The male ghost turned his head away from her.

"You're carrying the debt of so many lives, and you can solve it with just a simple "I don't know"? Are you thinking about going to the underworld, or are you going to be a snack for my calligraphy?"

"I see you have this evil aura. You might as well just be a snack for Mo Bao. It would be a waste to go to the underworld."

The male ghost wanted to say something, but he was thrown into a talisman, which was then rubbed and thrown into her backpack.

Su Nuobai waved his hand and all the coffin lids in the yard flew up and fell to the side.

All the people lying inside were from this caravan, but now they looked similar to Gao Yuan, wearing funeral clothes and with red round blush painted on their faces.

She formed seals with her hands, and several streams of spiritual energy flew out, hitting their abdomens.

Everyone inside sat up and leaned over the coffin to vomit.

Gao Yuan looked at this strange yet familiar scene and felt like he was dreaming.

When the people in the yard came to their senses, they heard screams all over the sky, which scared the surrounding birds so much that they spread their wings and flew high.

"Stop." Su Nuobai said, but no one listened. She could only cast a spell: "Shut up."

The world is finally quiet.

"Okay, stop screaming. If you still have the energy to scream, get out of the coffin. After you die, you can sleep however you want."

"It's a little too early to go to bed now. Also, stop shouting. I'm almost deaf."

She said, waving her hand and untangling their voices.

"You, you are Master Su." Someone recognized Su Nuobai.

"Well, go to the inn to change your clothes, wash your face, and take your things. I will take you away." Su Nuobai arranged what they should do next in a simple and clear manner.

How could the people in the yard refuse? Although they were scared, they thought that everything would be fine as long as Su Nuobai was there. They ran as fast as they could, fearing that if they ran too slowly, she would not wait for them.

Su Nuobai looked at the coffins in the yard. To be honest, the materials were quite good. Why not take them back and ask the owner of the coffin shop if he would accept them?

He could still earn some hard-earned money, so thinking of this, he sent a message to Wei Ling without caring whether she was asleep or not.

"Wei Ling, does the coffin shop on West Street accept coffins?"

Wei Ling was startled by the sudden voice transmission. She woke up from her doze when she heard her voice and quickly stood up and replied, "Yes, Miss, are you going to sell coffins instead?"
