Chapter 15 015 Summer Sleep "Let's learn how to date together..."

Chapter 15 015 Summer Sleep "Let's learn how to date together..."

They say loving someone is like growing flowers; tonight is a time to appreciate both the flowers and the person.

The osmanthus trees in the southern part of the city bloom from the Mid-Autumn Festival until now in November. Due to the climate, the osmanthus trees at University A bloomed later, but they are still beautiful to see.

Xia Mian rushed downstairs without even putting on her coat.

Seeing her go out in the middle of the night wearing fluffy pajamas, Qiao Yilin asked in confusion, "Where are you going?"

"Don't worry, it's just downstairs, I'll be back in a bit." Xia Mian didn't even bother to come up with another reason, she just used what Pei Yan had said earlier, "The osmanthus flowers downstairs are blooming, but I haven't had a good look at them much this year."

She walked incredibly fast, disappearing in the blink of an eye.

Before Qiao Yilin could ask another question, she looked at the door that was being quietly closed and murmured to herself, "Midnight... to see the osmanthus?"

On the other side, Xia Mian had already run downstairs.

On the first floor, through the dormitory building's door, she saw Pei Yan lingering outside.

Xia Mian's shadow was reflected in the glass door. She was only wearing a fluffy nightgown and cotton slippers, completely unadorned and somewhat sloppy.

But there was no time to worry about anything else. Xia Mian swiped her card to unlock the door, opened it, and quickly walked to Pei Yan.

On an autumn night, they stood under the osmanthus tree, a gentle breeze blowing, carrying the sweet fragrance of osmanthus blossoms.

"Are you cold?" Pei Yan asked her softly, silently taking her hands in his to warm them.

Xia Mian looked away from his gaze, her palms and cheeks burning: "I'm fine."

They were so close, she was almost leaning into his arms, and Pei Yan held her hand tightly, never letting go—it was incredibly intimate.

"How could you..." Xia Mian became embarrassed, "You weren't like this this afternoon."

She spoke in a slurred manner, but Pei Yan still understood her perfectly.

“There were so many people coming and going downstairs in the afternoon. I know you're timid and uncomfortable, and I was afraid that being too enthusiastic would scare you away,” Pei Yan explained, then became cautious again, “But now it's just the two of us, and you still don't want to get too close to me?”

He was prone to "misunderstanding" her.

I don't know if it was to provoke him, or if it was because we had just started dating and he was feeling uncertain and insecure, so he wanted to clarify his feelings again and again.

So, he, too, is capable of looking back and forth, just like her?

Xia Mian couldn't help but look up at Pei Yan, her answer both subtle and firm: "If I didn't want to, I wouldn't have come downstairs to see you."

She might even be wearing only fluffy pajamas.

Pei Yan chuckled softly, seemingly feeling much more at ease. He then finally noticed her attire and raised an eyebrow.

"What?" Xia Mian noticed his gaze, unconsciously let go of his hand, and looked herself up and down. "Am I dressed too childishly?"

The plush pajamas are cat-shaped, and there's a hat with cat ears on top.

“No.” Pei Yan looked directly into her eyes, his gaze as gentle and indulgent as water. “I think she’s very cute.”

"Really?" Xia Mian blinked.

“Really.” Pei Yan nodded at her, his fingertips rubbing the cat ears on her hat, his voice deep, “They’re so soft, so cute. Here, here, and here, they’re all adorable.”

His slender fingers brushed over the fluffy cat ears one by one, the collar adorned with a pom-pom bow, and the cuffs embroidered with the pink paw pads of a kitten.

"Coming over in the middle of the night..." Xia Mian muttered, "Just to compliment my pajamas?"

"You know perfectly well what I'm asking." Pei Yan helped her tie the bow tighter. "It's because of someone who keeps me awake at night."

Pei Yan came tonight only for Xia Mian.

Only when you truly fall in love do you realize the pain of unrequited love.

There's a reason why lovesickness can become an illness. Sending WeChat messages isn't enough, making phone calls isn't enough; you have to see that person in person to alleviate that longing.

But once they actually met, they realized that simply meeting in person wasn't enough.

I want to get even closer to that person.

Especially at this moment, their touching questions and answers sound just like sweet nothings.

Pei Yan lowered his eyes, gazing at Xia Mian's upturned face. In the girl's eyes were the stars of the night, the scattered osmanthus blossoms, and him.

His heart tightened, and he could no longer suppress his desire to be close to her. He whispered, "May I hug you?"

“Okay…” Xia Mian herself didn’t expect that she would blurt it out like this.

Only after she said it did she slowly begin to feel shy.

But there was no time to regret it; the man in front of her had already opened his arms, bent down, and pulled her into his warm embrace.

Xia Mian couldn't see his expression, but when she hugged him back, she could tell that he stiffened noticeably for a moment, and then hugged her even tighter and more firmly.

She loved it when Pei Yan hugged her; they were pressed tightly together, and this sense of security made her squint her eyes comfortably.

He was as hot as a ball of fire. Even through her thick, fluffy pajamas, she could feel his body temperature and the restless heartbeats in each other's chests.

She could even smell Pei Yan's scent, like a cold wind, or like the summer sea.

After hugging for an unknown amount of time, Xia Mian loosened her aching arms from holding Pei Yan, feeling it was time to end the embrace.

But Pei Yan lowered his head and nuzzled her neck with great affection, pleading in a hoarse voice, "Let me hold you a little longer, okay?"

Oh my god! Is he trying to be cute with her?

A man who knows how to be charming is the luckiest, and Xia Mian couldn't bear to refuse, letting him tighten his arms around her waist once again.

Holding her, Pei Yan gently rested his chin on the side of her neck, his warm breath spraying onto the back of her neck, causing that skin to immediately turn red.

After a long while, he finally let go of her, but his tone was not satisfied: "I really wanted to hold you longer, but it's too late and so cold, I should let you go home sooner."

Pei Yan was worried that she would get cold.

The tenderness and care from the person she liked could not help but move Xia Mian, and it also gave her more courage to confide in them.

"Before I go back, I'd like to say a few words to you," she said sincerely.

“My mother said that I have liked to stay in a corner by myself since kindergarten. I have been introverted since I was a child and I am not particularly good at expressing myself.”

"Sometimes I have one thought in my mind, but because I don't express it, others will misunderstand it as another. If you have any doubts about me, you can ask me directly, and I will never lie to you."

"And..." Xia Mian bit her lip and voiced her final concern, "Pei Yan, I've never been in a relationship before, and I don't know how to be in one."

“What a coincidence, me too.” Pei Yan looked at her and smiled gently. “Xia Mian, we are the same.”

“It’s no big deal.” He took her hand, his eyes sparkling with eagerness and tenderness. “Let’s learn how to be in a relationship together.”

Let's learn to express love together, learn to love each other, and learn to become better versions of ourselves in a relationship.

After hearing Pei Yan's words, Xia Mian's last worries completely disappeared, and she felt extremely relieved.

The night was dark and the time had come for them to part ways.

Pei Yan said goodbye with a hug.

At first, it was the same as the hug just now.

But gradually, things started to change...

As he was about to let go, Pei Yan closed his eyes and kissed her snow-white neck.

Good night, sweet dreams.

The kiss was light and gentle, with great restraint, leaving no trace like a goose feather brushing against you.

The warm and wet touch left Xia Mian completely stunned until she stood at the dormitory door and raised her hand to touch the side of her neck, at which point she finally came to her senses.

etc……

Was it Pei Yan who couldn't resist kissing her neck just now?

Did he secretly cast a spell on her during that kiss?

Otherwise, why would she feel a tingling sensation on her neck, and why would her heart be pounding uncontrollably, completely disrupting her thoughts?

I like him so much, I like him so much!

Holding hands, hugging, and a secret kiss on the neck—all of this happened today.

He really is her boyfriend!

Like all couples in the world, they gradually got to know each other and did all the intimate things that couples do step by step...

Before going to sleep, Xia Mian, who had become a bit bolder, finally dared to recall the meeting on the library terrace, just like in the videos on Douyin.

At that moment, she stared at Pei Yan's lips, imagining how easy it would be to kiss them.

So, are they actually close in real life?

That night, Xia Mian slept soundly and had sweet dreams all night long.

But after waking up, she reverted to her cowardly nature and stopped thinking about the yellow paint, only daring to think about the photo she had taken.

Pei Yan under the sunset.

I really want to set it as my screensaver!

Should I set it as my screensaver or not?

Someone else was much more decisive than she was, despite her hesitation.

She had a class at 10 AM, and attendance was very lenient for that class. Qiao Yilin and the others were either preparing for graduate school or doing internships, so none of them came. She was the only one in the entire dormitory who made it.

However, not long after Xia Mian arrived at the classroom, she saw Pei Yan, who was not supposed to have class, walk in and walk straight to her side, sitting down in the empty seat to her right.

"What are you doing here?" Xia Mian asked him quietly before the bell rang and when there were few people in the classroom.

Pei Yan didn't answer. Instead, he moved another seat closer to her, sitting right next to her, before finally speaking: "Coming to class with your girlfriend, isn't that just the right thing to do?"

!

I really admire Pei Yan; he can speak so naturally even in public.

And she... was still debating whether or not she should change her screensaver.

Xia Mian lowered her head and remained silent, only opening the photo album and stopping at that photo.

The long pause caught Pei Yan's attention. He glanced at her and immediately understood what was going on. He said gently, "Xia Mian, you should learn to get used to it."

"What?" Xia Mian paused, her hand repeatedly tapping the screen, and looked up at him.

“Do whatever you want,” he replied. “No one in this world is more upright than you.”

Everything happened naturally, just as simply as falling in love.

Yes, falling in love with Pei Yan was such a happy thing.

The expression of love comes from the heart, so open and aboveboard that it needs no concealment whatsoever.

Xia Mian stopped worrying and set the photo she had treasured for a long time as her screensaver.

As the sunset painted the sky a beautiful pinkish-blue, Pei Yan, dressed in a sky-blue shirt, was her favorite sight.

"Hmm, it's not that difficult." Xia Mian lightly touched the screen with her fingertips, muttered to herself, and couldn't help but smile.

Then, she looked at Pei Yan beside her and found that he was also looking at her, his eyes crinkling.

So she lay back down on the table, turned her head towards Pei Yan, and muttered softly, "What are you laughing at?"

"I'm laughing because you finally dare to acknowledge my identity, and no longer leave me in such a pitiful state of being nameless and without status," Pei Yan teased, raising an eyebrow.

"Nonsense, I've always admired you." Xia Mian held up her phone, showing the screen to Pei Yan, as if to show off or to prove something.

"My boyfriend is so handsome."

Xia Mian squinted her eyes, as if she were coaxing Pei Yan.

"Is that right, Pei Yan?"
