3 Escape
A strange house
This sound...
Li Jintang felt a chill in her heart as she instinctively grabbed the boy's sleeve, trying to pull him behind a tree. Her voice trembled as she said in panic, "It's not the rabbit, it's the dog..."
Suddenly, a gap appeared in the bushes, and an eye appeared from it. The moment his eyes met the eye, Li Jintang felt a chill in his heart, as if a chill ran up his back from the soles of his feet.
"What did I say? God is helping me!"
That day, the monster, shaped like a vicious dog, jumped out of the bushes and landed on all fours. He licked the thick hair around his lips, and his saliva dripped onto a blade of grass at his feet. He said viciously, "You have delicate skin and tender flesh, and you must taste great. I couldn't eat you last time, so I'm going to make it up to you today!"
After he finished speaking, two more monsters suddenly jumped out from the bushes. Li Jintang recognized one of them as the three-eyed monster that chased them that day, but he did not recognize the other one.
Her sleeve was grabbed by someone, and the young man leaned down, almost touching her earlobe: "What should we do now?"
"You said you wouldn't let me die."
Li Jintang raised his eyes. He didn't know if it was an illusion, but the other party seemed to be smiling, but it was only for a moment.
"Then stand behind me." She whispered.
Even though she was so scared that her legs couldn't help shaking.
Seeing the three demons ready to pounce, Li Jintang rushed forward, suppressing his panic and saying, "That's true, but there are only two of us. How are you going to divide the forces?"
The three demons looked at each other and laughed: "The girl is trying to sow discord. Why don't we just divide it equally?"
"How can that be?" Li Jintang pointed at the three-eyed demon and said, "I see the other two are stronger than you. If they don't want to split it equally, you won't be able to snatch it away."
Upon hearing this, the three-eyed demon's eyes widened in anger as he cursed, "You little girl, you have such a shortsighted mind! How can those two broken-armed bastards be a match for me?"
"Who are you calling a bastard?" The vicious dog was not happy. If its arms weren't too short, it would have grabbed his hair. "I'll eat you first, believe it or not?"
The flat, kite-like monster that came later slid in between them. Its pointed cheeks pushed the two monsters apart as they were about to fight, and it shrieked, "Would you be smarter? What's the point of you two arguing over who's stronger?"
After saying that, he flapped his two bat-like wings in the air, stirring up a gust of wind: "If you want to know who is the strongest, it must be me..."
"I'm just guessing," Li Jintang said, seeing the three demons about to quarrel. She tilted her head and pretended to be distressed. "You three seem to be equally powerful. I have a plan to decide the winner, but I don't know if it will work."
The three demons looked at her in unison. She considered for a moment, then pointed to a dead tree a few steps behind her. "Start from here. Whoever reaches the river first wins."
To dispel their suspicions, she picked up a dry vine from the ground and tied their wrists together. She then tugged on it, but the vine didn't budge. "Are you relieved now?"
The three demons believed it and ran towards the river for their lives as soon as the stone was thrown.
Fuzi stared at the three demons' backs in deep thought for a moment. Suddenly, there was a crisp sound. He lowered his eyes and saw that the vine on his wrist had been cut open.
It turned out that she had already cut half of the vine in advance. It looked very strong from the outside, but in fact it could be torn apart with a little force.
Suddenly someone grabbed her hand. The girl didn't dare to stay for a moment and fled aimlessly while pulling him.
The road in the forest twisted and turned, and Li Jintang didn't know where he turned into. He turned around suddenly and saw yellow sand rising behind him, almost blocking his view.
Sure enough, he caught up.
Her heart instantly rose to her throat, and her hands clenched tighter. Suddenly, a voice rang in her ears: "Go this way." Then she was led to turn a corner.
"There's a house over there!" She ran breathlessly, her voice just loud enough for people around her to hear.
I saw a house standing alone on a vacant lot not far away. It looked pitch black at first glance. I couldn't escape from those monsters either way, so I might as well go in and block the door. Maybe I could find some useful mechanisms.
The three monsters saw their prey right in front of them, but unexpectedly they turned sideways and entered a strange-looking house.
The room was simply furnished. Li Jintang quickly closed the door and moved a nearby chair to block the space. He then glanced at a wooden table that looked heavier and said, "Fuzi, can you move that over as well?"
Fuzi raised her chin, feeling strange. She turned her head and followed his gaze. Through the crack in the door, she could vaguely see three demons surrounding the door, cursing.
But this chair is not heavy and it doesn't take much effort to break the door open. Why don't they come in?
Li Jintang took a few steps back, fearing that they would really bang on the door.
When the noise outside the door died down, she carefully moved closer, opened the crack a little wider, and looked out.
There was no sign of the monster outside the door, only the occasional passing wind blew up the fallen leaves on the ground.
Is there something strange about this house?
Li Jintang paced around the house, then returned to the hall, paused and looked up.
She saw a crookedly written character on the sorghum hanging in the middle. She tried to make it out, but asked uncertainly, "Is that the character 'Mo'?"
Fuzi came over when he heard the sound and looked towards the beam, but did not comment.
"Well, then this must be the Mo family's house," Li Jintang said, feeling inexplicably relieved. "This Senior Mo must have had a great reputation in the past, so this house alone scared the monster away."
After saying this, she bent down and bowed three times towards the character 'Mo', muttering, "I do not mean to bother you. Thank you for your protection, Senior."
The boy looked at her sideways and raised the corners of his lips calmly.
Li Jintang stood up and looked around but couldn't see anyone. He was startled and asked, "Where is the fortune book?"
Could it be that she ran too fast and dropped it again?
"Girl, you finally remembered me." The fortune book, which had been lying on the wooden table for a long time, now jumped up onto her shoulder and said, "You still have some conscience."
Li Jintang glanced at the wooden table and saw that the fruit on it had been gnawed into uneven pieces. He burst into laughter and picked up the book by the page: "Why are you eating other people's food?"
Mingshu screamed, "What's wrong with eating something? Let go, it hurts so much!"
Li Jintang closed the book and said, "The monsters are gone, so let's get out now."
As my hand touched the door bolt, a muffled roar suddenly came from outside the house. A cold breeze came in through the crack in the door, making my fingertips cold.
She withdrew her hand and looked outside in astonishment.
A large group of monsters were walking around in the open space. She felt her heart beating so fast that it seemed like it was going to burst out of her chest. She thought that she really couldn't escape this time. Suddenly, someone pulled her wrist and she hid behind the wall.
The young man stood before her, his gaze sliding from her face to the door with a cold expression. After a moment, he spoke in a steady voice, "They can't get in."
Upon hearing this, Li Jintang slowly lowered his hand that was covering his lips, wiped away the tears that were streaming down his face uncontrollably due to excessive fear, covered his chest with both hands, and looked out without blinking with tearful eyes.
The monsters came in aggressively, but they just knelt down one after another towards the house with a respectful look, which aroused suspicion.
Is Senior Mo really so powerful that he can make so many monsters bow down to him?
However, no one knows when those monsters will leave. Now they are hiding here, so they should be safe for the time being.
Suddenly feeling dizzy, she reached out to support herself against the wall, a blush creeping up her cheeks. "Fuzi, don't you feel a little stuffy here?"
The young man glanced at her, then looked towards the door and said calmly, "There is no window."
Yes, how could such a nice house not even have a window?
Feeling so dizzy, Li Jintang slowly squatted down against the wall and buried his head in his arms.
After calming down a little, she raised her head and almost bumped into the person opposite her.
She frowned and glanced back in confusion.
The two of them were pressed against the wall, and were clearly only two arms' length apart just now. How come they were touching each other now?
Never mind, maybe she was dizzy and had an illusion.
She lowered her head and took out two honey fruits from the pouch at her side, put one in her mouth and held the other in her hand.
The girl raised her head and stretched out her hand. "You feel dizzy too, right? Take this and you'll feel better."
The young man glanced at it indifferently and said, "No." Then he saw the girl holding her hand up, and she took it as if possessed by a magic power.
The moment their hands touched, Li Jintang felt the coldness of his fingertips, as if he had touched a layer of frost.
Looking more closely, I saw a layer of cold sweat on his forehead and his lips were pale. I was afraid that he would faint in the next second.
"Are you feeling unwell?" She stood up and tiptoed to touch his forehead: "Why are your hands so cold..."
Before she could touch him, the boy turned his face away and her hand fell into nothingness.
"No problem."
"What's wrong?" Li Jintang thought he was just not comfortable touching others, so he withdrew his hand and said seriously, "I knew something was wrong the moment I heard your voice. If you don't let me touch you, then I won't, but I can't just watch you die here."
"If you die, then die." The young man suddenly sneered, leaned down, and looked down at her condescendingly.
The girl wanted to step back, but there was a cold wall behind her, so she could only look up at him.
"So what if I die?"
She couldn't see the emotion in his eyes.
Li Jintang didn't want to answer such a boring question, so she grabbed the other person's wrist, forced him down, and then went around behind him.
The hem of his clothes was lifted slightly, revealing a deep wound on his back. Although the bleeding had stopped, his life was still in danger if no treatment was given.
This scar was very different from the previous one left by the monster. It looked more like a sword wound. Fortunately, she had learned a lot of treatment techniques, so although the injury was serious, there was a way to treat it.
The man suddenly turned around, grabbed her wrist, and asked with a half-smile, "Miss, do you know what the difference between men and women is?"
"What's the difference between men and women?" Li Jintang was very puzzled. She felt uncomfortable being pulled by him, but when she thought about the injured person, she calmed down and asked, "It's just healing. I didn't look at the place you can't see. How is it wrong?"
This time it was his turn to choke.
Li Jintang took advantage of the situation and pulled his hand away, gathering a trace of spiritual energy at his fingertips. Noticing that he was trying to gather his energy again, he said, "Don't talk. I'm going to heal you."
He was stunned and turned his back as he was told.
"Are you nervous?" Li Jintang couldn't help laughing at his tense look. "It won't hurt much. It will only take a quarter of an hour."
"How did you know I had a back injury?"
As soon as she withdrew her hand, he immediately turned around and stared at her.
Li Jintang said honestly, "Your expression was off, and your hands were resting on your back, so I guessed it."
Seeing the strange look in his eyes when he looked at her, she couldn't help but laugh. Could it be that she had secretly seen him in the middle of the night?
This trip back and forth took another quarter of an hour, and only then did she realize that she was also feeling cold.
Li Jintang stood up, moved his numb legs, and looked outside the door again.
I was shocked when I saw it.
The door had actually moved in front of them.
It was clearly still several feet away...
"The house has become smaller." Fuzi said concisely what she was thinking.
Suddenly thinking of something, Li Jintang rushed to the beam and looked up at the words engraved in the middle.
Why does the character "莫" seem to be taking on less and less shape the more I look at it...
She took a step forward and was about to take a closer look when she suddenly felt her feet slip. She bent down and gently picked up the black powder on the ground with her hands.
She knew something was wrong.
The horizontal line of the character "莫" should be in the middle, but it is obviously tilted towards the bottom one.
If it is a big sect, it is impossible that even the surname is written wrong.
There is only one possibility -
Li Jintang narrowed his eyes slightly and found that there were still some strokes above the middle horizontal line, but they had faded a lot due to the erosion of time and were extremely difficult to recognize at first glance.
She looked at the powder on her fingertips, which looked exactly like the material used to make the character "Mo".
My heart was suddenly filled with panic.
That's not Mo.
That is 'Dian'.
The word "diao" for memorial service.

Yin Zhuo mistakenly thought she was a lecher and that she only wanted to drain him dry.

Chu Caiwu would rather starve to the point of becoming transparent than be embarrassed enough to ask Yin Zhuo for blood to drink.
Yin Zhuo thought that Chu Caiwu was just using him to drink his blood.
After being surrounded for a long time, Yin Zhuo gradually relaxed his vigilance, but found that Chu Caiwu never came again.
Yin Zhuo spent the whole day in dark circles, observing Chu Caiwu: "Does she love me? Does she not love me? Does she crave my blood? Does she not crave my blood?"
Chu Caiwu made a joke and Yin Zhuo pretended not to care, but he was actually thinking about it in his mind eight hundred times and pondered it until midnight.
He was even willing to let Chu Caiwu drink his blood, and even if Chu Caiwu didn't love him, he would use his body to tie Chu Caiwu up, just to beg her not to leave...
Yin Zhuo, from the beginning to the end, is just a pitiful little boy with broken and fierce cheeks.
