If Ye Lanyin hadn't known the children were his, she probably would have driven them away directly.
"Greetings, Madam Lin." The Regent greeted her, his gaze falling on Xiao Chengyun behind Ye Lanyin. "Come here!"
His gaze was stern.
Xiao Chengyun shrank back in fright and slowly walked out from behind Ye Lanyin.
Ye Lanyin felt extremely distressed seeing his frightened appearance.
She reached out and grabbed Xiao Chengyun, who was somewhat taken aback.

The Regent looked at Lin Rui'an; he was fully aware of what was happening at the Zhenbei Marquis's residence.
But for some reason, seeing Lin Rui'an's eyes was like seeing myself from many years ago.
The young man stood tall and imposing in his blue robes, neither humble nor arrogant. His brown, sword-like eyebrows were resolute and natural, conveying a calm and composed demeanor.
It gives one the illusion of a dashing young man in fine clothes and riding a spirited horse.
The regent almost fell into his eyes.
"Your Majesty, Your Majesty, it is my fault. I did not know that Your Prince Xiao would be here."
"If I had known, I would have sent it back to the Regent's Palace."
The Marquis of Zhenbei's urgent voice rang out from behind, interrupting the Regent's investigation of Lin Rui'an.
