The old lady was stunned. "What? Why are there only seven?"
"What about the others?"
"Ruyan, did the maid forget to take it?"

He desperately pressed his hand down his chest and his other hand against his philtrum to keep himself from fainting.

Only then did the Marquis of Zhenbei realize what was happening, and he scrambled outside.
"Ye Lanyin, you'll be eating your words this time!"
In the government office, in the high hall.
The Marquis of Zhenbei knelt on the ground, while the Chief Justice of the Court of Judicial Review, wearing an official hat, sat above him.
"Bang!" The gavel slammed down, and the Marquis of Zhenbei trembled in fright.
"Lord Zhenbei, do you have any evidence to prove that Ye Lanyin did this?"
"Lord Wei, I went to her courtyard as soon as Ye Lanyin left. There was white smoke billowing from the house, and it was steaming. Who else could it be but her?"
The gavel struck again.
