Chapter 429 Blood Fiend Hall Eye Technique

The leopard demon excitedly ran out to look for people again.

Lin Wanwan grabbed Meiwu's hand and walked forward, saying, "Sister, go pack your things, I'll take you with me later."

Meiwu was overjoyed; it was truly a stroke of luck for her, coming so effortlessly.

Just then, Meiwu accidentally saw a faint light above and learned that the one-hour punishment was about to begin.

Just as she was lost in thought, a piercing sound immediately rang out from the Blood Slaughter Hall.

Upon hearing this, Mei Wu was so frightened that she squatted down on the ground, crying and covering her ears.

The others around were also crouching on the ground in fear, and some of the younger ones even ran directly into the arms of the adults next to them.

"Waaaaah, I want to get out, I can't take it anymore..."

"Why have you kept me locked up here for so many years? I want to get out..."

"Waaaaah, help me..."

Even demons trembled before the Blood Fiend Palace's punishment, which shows how severe it was.

"The fact that you have arrived at the Blood Fiend Hall means that you are all guilty and deserve this punishment."

"Only after you have served your sentences will you be able to see the light of day again and regain your freedom."

A ghostly, chilling voice echoed from the dome of the Blood Fiend Palace, a voice that seemed to pierce through shackles.

It was like a knife, striking their fragile hearts, making them deeply remember their situation and feel endless fear and despair.

Lin Wanwan looked up at the dim light above, and, holding Meiwu's hand, asked:

"Sister, what's wrong with the mud?"

“Little cow, you don’t know, those who enter here are punished by the Blood Fiend Hall every hour, as a way of letting us know that we are guilty.”

"Quickly squat down, so that the punishment won't be so painful later."

Mei Wu held Lin Wanwan's small body in her arms, and despite her own fear, she still protected her with her trembling hands.

Soon, the piercing sound became more and more noticeable and sharper.

Some couldn't take it anymore and started wailing and crying on the ground.

A moment later, with a loud bang, flames spread from the top of the Blood Fiend Hall to ignite the entire hall, burning every inch of the ground and pillars. The flames instantly engulfed the demon's body.

They struggled painfully on the ground, sometimes crawling around with their claws out, some crashing directly into their master, others jumping into the nearest ditch, trying to escape the terrifying flames.

"Ouch, it hurts so much! My demon bones feel like they're about to shatter."

"My demon soul seems to be dying."

"Father, Mother..."

Lin Wanwan looked at Mei Wu, who was lying on the ground clutching her head in pain, and reached out to tap her. "Sister, are you alright?"

Mei Wu used her demonic power to control the burning pain on her body, opened her eyes and glanced at Lin Wanwan.

His eyes widened suddenly.

What happened?

How come the child was completely unharmed?

“I…I…ah—” Meiwu was completely unable to answer her question.

Lin Wanwan looked up in surprise at the demons wailing all around.

It's strange, these people are perfectly fine, why are they curled up like they're on fire?

It was exactly the same scene as last time when the Ye family's small kitchen caught fire and a maid was hiding in a corner crying.

"What's wrong with you guys? Are you playing house?"

"I want to join too!"

As Lin Wanwan spoke, she ran to Meiwu's side, grabbed her, and asked to switch, "Sister, sister, what are you playing? I want to play too."

Meiwu cried out, "Little cow, please don't do this, I...I..."

"Huh? Why doesn't it hurt anymore?"

Mei Wu suddenly straightened up, looking at Lin Wanwan, whose face was full of expectation.

"Little cow, are you alright?"

"Sister, what's wrong with you?"

“We were on fire…on fire…” The painful screams still echoed in her ears. Mei Wu was halfway through her sentence when she suddenly looked around.

The other demons who had just fallen to the ground with him, wailing and crying, were still rolling around, roaring and wailing in the same spot.

Some even slammed their heads into the ground.

"What...what happened?"

Where's the fire?

She looked shocked, then stared at the ceiling.

Is the faint light still there?

No, the Blood Fiend Palace's punishments always stop when the faint light disappears. Why hasn't it disappeared this time, and she doesn't feel any pain?

"Could it be...an illusion? A magic trick???"

The first terrifying thought popped into her mind, and her eyes widened in shock.

Lin Wanwan pointed at everyone, "Sister, I remember there's an evil technique in the Eight Desolations called the Eye Technique, which can bewitch demons and create illusions..."

"Look at the mud..."

Upon hearing this, Mei Wu shook her head in disbelief.

"Why? We've already suffered enough in the Blood Fiend Palace, why are you controlling us like this?"

“It’s cold and damp here. We live in constant fear. We struggle to even have enough to eat. To save our lives, to get out of prison, to get out of here, we kill each other. Isn’t that enough?”

Meiwu shouted almost in a roaring voice, and the deafening sound pulled the demons who were wailing in pain back to reality. They inexplicably stopped wailing.

They covered their ears and struggled to their feet.

Some let go of the pillar, letting blood stream down their foreheads and stain their faces; others crawled out of the icy water; still others crawled out of tree hollows...

The demons survived the ordeal, but they knew that this survival was preparation for the next punishment.

Although they will not die after the punishment ends, those demons who cannot endure the punishment will destroy their own cultivation and end their own lives in order to seek liberation.
