Chapter 515 The Unfortunate Yao Qianshu

Several people were tidying up inside the house.

Xiao Wanwan and Yao Qianshu were playing with snakes outside.

“This snake is too small to make a snakeskin bag,” Yao Qianshu said, picking up a stone and sharpening a knife.

Xiao Wanwan peered over, rarely agreeing with Yao Qianshu's words.

She took out a pill that looked neither too big nor too small from her spatial storage and forcefully pried open the snake's mouth.

Yao Qianshu was startled. "Little sister, what are you doing?"

"Shh, Brother Qian Shu, I'll make him bigger so we can make some snakeskin coats for Mother, Aunt Hua Xin, and Aunt Hua Mei."

"This doesn't look like a snake."

"Shh?" Xiao Wanwan whispered a shushing sound. "This is a snake."

Yao Qianshu muttered to himself.

I always felt that my sister seemed to know something, but she wouldn't tell him.

Xiao Wanwan stuffed the pill into the snakeskin's mouth and chatted for a few minutes.

"Back then, you were the one who gave me this."

"There's only one, I don't even know if it's spoiled."

Yao Qianshu was taken aback. "Me?"

Xiao Wanwan's heart skipped a beat. She tugged at her heavy dress and sat down on the ground.

"Oh, it's not you, it's chicken belly."

"Chicken belly?" Yao Qianshu shook his head, put his hand into the snake's mouth, and checked if it had eaten it.

"Ouch...it hurts so much!"

Yao Qianshu shouted and hurriedly pulled his hand out of the snake's mouth.

Looking at his hand, which was bitten red, he gently blew on it, then, in a fit of anger, he slapped the snake's head hard.

"You're not dead?"

I'll beat you to death.

The snake hissed loudly, causing other birds and livestock that were trying to come out to flee in panic.

Xiao Wanwan looked down at the snake.

"Oh, you're still alive?"

"If you're not dead, grow bigger. I have a lot of people in my family, and your skin isn't enough for me."

No sooner had he finished speaking than the drowsy snake on the ground suddenly grew larger, startling Yao Qianshu so much that he knelt down.

"Holy crap, what is this? It's really gotten bigger?"

Xiao Wanwan chuckled, "Didn't you say you wanted to activate your spiritual root? Say something too."

Yao Qianshu hurriedly got up, his face full of anticipation, and asked, "Really?"

"real."

Upon receiving Xiao Wanwan's affirmation, Yao Qianshu stood up in delight, rubbed his hands together, and shouted at the snake on the ground, "Grow bigger, I want to make a snakeskin bag for my mother too."

The snake had indeed grown a little bigger.

"Wow, it's changed!"

"See? I didn't lie to you, did I?" Xiao Wanwan took out a dagger and patted the snakeskin's head.

"My brother once said that lying comes at a price. You've got a lot of lives on your hands, haven't you?"

"Tell me, how many dragons did you kill?"

"Dragon... Dragon?" Yao Qianshu stood to the side, speechless with shock.

"Oh, the plan has been abandoned."

Xiao Wanwan pointed, and Yao Qianshu realized that the snake he had just caught had slipped through his fingers.

He stood up excitedly and immediately lunged at the snake's head.

The snake seemed to see through Yao Qianshu's intentions and, enduring the pain, crawled to the side.

Little did anyone know that Xiao Wanwan was in that direction, and she pointed her dagger at it.

Before the snake could react, it crashed headfirst into the blade, and blood gushed out onto the ground.

Yao Qianshu stared wide-eyed at Xiao Wanwan in disbelief, "You...you...you're too amazing!"

"It's courting its own destruction."

Xiao Wanwan threw the dagger on the ground, terrified.

"Brother Qian Shu, it has nothing to do with me, he bumped into it himself."

“I know,” Yao Qianshu nodded firmly. “I saw it with my own eyes.”

"Alright, alright, let's get started. The snakeskin needs to be processed while it's fresh. You peel off all the layers of snakeskin, then go and start a fire to boil water. I'll supervise!"

Without a second thought, Yao Qianshu agreed, "Okay!"

Before he could say two words, he suddenly realized something and abruptly looked up.

"You're in charge of overseeing this?"

"Yeah, you can rest, but my eyes can't even rest..."

Yao Qianshu: "..."

What a terrible mistake in choosing friends!

How did I end up with such a toad?

Xiao Wanwan scurried into the house and brought out a chair.

"Brother Qian Shu, be careful. It's best to peel off the snakeskin layer by layer, otherwise you'll have to sew it up if it tears."

"Me?" Yao Qianshu grimaced, unable to utter a single word.

He pursed his lips, lowered his head, and began to work hard.

Soon, a complete snakeskin was peeled off, and Wanwan felt nauseous at the smell of blood.

"Go and start a fire! Boil the water, let it cool, then put the snakeskin in to wash it, make sure it's clean!"

Yao Qianshu fiddled with the matches with great effort, feeling both angry and annoyed.

Suddenly, as if he had realized something, he angrily threw down the firewood. "Wait a minute, why am I the one doing this?"

"Why doesn't Bai Lu have to do it? She's a maid."

Xiao Wanwan glanced around the room. "This is an inn; there's not enough space for people to stand."

What kind of ridiculous reason is that?

If you want to torment him, just say so. Why make up such a lazy excuse? Are you trying to drive him crazy?

Where are there no seats?

Yao Qianshu glanced at the seat next to him and moved his buttocks to the side again and again.

"Is this spot really that big? Bai Lu isn't a big-butt!"

The two of them spent the first half of the night complaining and haggling.

In the middle of the night, Xiao Wanwan went to the shopkeeper to get some paste and scissors. She then directed Yao Qianshu to bring over a mattress sheet, cut it into different sizes, and then pasted snakeskin on it.
