106 Working together to save people

106 Working together to save people

Wan Changsheng drove the mule cart, Tong Lin sat aside, and Erqiang held the iron rod tightly in the carriage.

He originally wanted to use medicine to save people, but his uncle asked him to sit in the car with an iron rod, which made him nervous.

He is not afraid of him. If there are really bad guys, he is also a kung fu expert. Although he is not very good, he has learned it for half a year.

"Uncle Wan, drive your car slowly and try not to make too much noise. Look, there must be a mule cart or a horse carriage in the woods next to us. There must be something wrong. I'll get off the car and feel over there."

"Be careful, I'll park the car there later." Wan Changsheng also felt that it was not just a simple rollover.

In another quarter of an hour it would get even darker, and the injured should rush forward instead of heading into the woods.

Tong Lin was quite skilled in martial arts, so he could easily defeat two or three big men, not to mention they were armed.

The other side only has one car, with no more than three or four people, and we have two strong men on our side, with three people as well.

It was October 21st, and there was still some moonlight. Wan Changsheng was driving the carriage while glancing at Tong Lin who was running away.

Erqiang also looked through the car window at Brother Tong Lin, who was as fast as an arrow in the distance. At this moment, he was not afraid. His heart was pounding and he became excited.

Tong Lin had already heard the sound of something heavy falling not far ahead. He slowly moved closer and heard someone groaning in pain, as if unable to speak.

"Don't blame me. I don't want to kill anyone. You won't die if I just tie you up here."

This was a man's voice that he deliberately lowered, but Tong Lin heard it clearly.

What a good person who doesn't want to hurt anyone.

One bad guy is fine.

Tong Lin suddenly jumped up and hit the man's shoulder with the iron rod.

"Ah, ah," the man screamed like a pig being slaughtered.

Tong Lin kicked him again, this time it was quite strong and the opponent fainted instantly.

Wan Changsheng and Erqiang also rushed over, "Tong Lin, is there anything wrong?"

"Uncle Wan, I'm fine. I'm alone, but there's another person on the ground."

"Tong Lin, there's a kudzu vine next to you. Cut it off and tie him up. He'll hurt people when he wakes up."

"Well, Uncle Wan, my kick was a bit heavy. It will take another quarter of an hour for you to wake up." Tong Lin still cut a long vine.

Erqiang rushed over to help tie the man up.

"Changsheng? You are Changsheng?"

"Who are you? How do you know my name?"

The man made no more sound.

"Uncle Wan, the person should have fainted."

Wan Changsheng lit a fire stick and was completely stunned: "Military Doctor Sun? How could it be him? Tong Lin, save him quickly."

The three men hurriedly carried the man into the mule cart. Erqiang turned on the "anger-death" light and only then saw that the back of the man's head was covered in blood.

"Uncle, you have a head injury. I have some good medicine in my backpack."

Erqiang hurriedly took out the medicine for the wound, and Tong Lin took out a cloth bandage from his small bag. They all carried these things with them.

Wan Changsheng's hands were shaking a little, but he still applied medicine and bandaged the patient himself.

He brought medicine for wounds, colds, anthelmintics and even sleeping pills, but he didn't have ginseng slices.

The night before, his wife gave him some ginseng slices, which were given to him by his son. He kept them quietly, thinking that he would use them for his wife's childbirth.

"Uncle Sun, Doctor Sun, I am Changsheng, I am Changsheng."

"Uncle Wan, I have some Qingxin Pills here, they might be of some use. He just fainted. I know a little bit of medicine, so he should be fine."

Qingxin Pills? It does work for people who are drowsy, at least it won’t do any harm.

Wan Changsheng pinched his chin and fed him a pill, and also gave him some water.

"Tong Lin, Er Qiang, this is Doctor Sun. I don't know why he was killed here. I followed him in the North for seven years and he treated me like his son or nephew."

Tong Lin repeated what he had just heard.

Wan Changsheng gritted his teeth as he listened. In his heart, Doctor Sun was no less important than his father.

"Since he said he didn't want to harm Doctor Sun's life, how could he survive if he was tied up with such a serious injury for a whole night?" Wan Changsheng stood up.

"Uncle Wan, I'll go and stuff his mouth and break one of his legs, and then see what happens to him," said Tong Lin.

Erqiang shuddered, then became a little excited again.

"Okay, just injure one of his legs and stuff his mouth with his own stinky socks, but don't kill him, otherwise it will be troublesome to investigate."

"I know. If I don't tie his legs, the vines on his hands will loosen, and he can crawl away after he wakes up."

It is his fate that he cannot crawl away.

After a while, a muffled groan was heard from the front, and Tong Lin quickly came back.

"Uncle Wan, it's okay." This stick can never heal that leg in this lifetime.

"Tong Lin, the car you drove was most likely Uncle Sun's. He must be after the money."

Erqiang held up a flashlight and looked around. He saw that there was indeed a large bag of luggage in the carriage, as well as a backpack and a basket.

"Uncle, this guy's things are still there. Hey, uncle, he's awake."

"Uncle Sun, Doctor Sun, I am Changsheng, am I feeling better now?"

"It's really Changsheng. Oh, I'm much better now. My head still hurts. Changsheng, where's that person?"

"Uncle Sun, we gave you some medicine. Now that you're awake, you'll be fine. What happened? Why are you here? That person from all night, isn't he someone you know?"

"He stopped a car before dusk. I saw that he was quite old, had weak legs and was a very honest man, so I let him get in the car and promised to take him to the town ahead. But he threw a stone at me from behind just a few minutes after I drove."

"Uncle Sun, it's getting late. Let's go. That man has a broken leg. He should be able to crawl back after he wakes up. Let's just leave him alone."

Sun Hongyu nodded. His mind was much clearer, but he was still dizzy.

"Erqiang, it's dark so you can't drive. Tong Lin and I will drive. Uncle Sun, this man didn't kill him, but if he is from the neighborhood, and if we stay at a nearby inn, will he turn the tables and find someone to come?"

Sun Hongyu shook his head and said, "Forget it, let's spare his life, Changsheng. I remember your home is near Jiao County. Let's go to Jiao County overnight. It's not far away. The moonlight is good tonight. I'm much better now. We can still make it if we go slower. I also have a death light in my car."

"Okay, let's do this. Erqiang, you take good care of Grandpa Sun in the car. We'll drive for an hour and then find a quiet place to rest in the car for the night."

An hour later, the mule cart had already left the nearby town.

In the end, I was too soft-hearted, otherwise I wouldn't have been harmed and had to run away.

If it were a cruel person, he would have killed the other person directly.

Erqiang nodded. This man was no younger than his grandfather, and his uncle called him uncle, so he had to call him grandpa.

Sun Hongyu brought his own quilt, and Erqiang simply spread it out for him so that he could lie down or lean on it.

The two mule carts started moving again.

Wan Changsheng asked from the front: "Uncle Sun, will this upset you?"

"It's okay. Don't forget I'm a military doctor. I just got hit and bled a little."

In the faint moonlight, Wan Changsheng didn't dare to hurry at all. Finally, after an hour, he stopped the car at the foot of a slope.

Fortunately, the medicine took effect and Doctor Sun actually fell asleep. Tong Lin took his pulse and assured Wan Changsheng that the patient was fine.

The autumn wind blows, bringing a chill.

Several people didn't dare to sleep separately, so they huddled in a car, covered with a quilt, and spent a very miserable night.
