Chapter 137 Awkward Moments in Life

"You've arrived?" she asked weakly.

"Are you going to die?" Cheng Cheng never held back when it came to her words.

“I feel like it’s about time. By the way, don’t you guys have classes?” Gu Luoqi asked.

"Are you out of your mind? What kind of class are we having for our physical fitness test today?" Cheng Cheng was a little incredulous. Had this guy lost his mind? He was talking nonsense all day long.

"Oh, I thought I'd been lying down all day." Gu Luoqi looked delicate and frail; if Cheng Cheng and the others hadn't known her well, they would have been fooled.

"What are you pretending for? Be normal for once!" Cheng Cheng snapped.

This guy is such a drama queen.

But then she seemed to remember something amusing, a mischievous smile playing on her lips. "Do you know who took you to the infirmary after you fainted?"

I wonder if she'll still be able to cause trouble so happily after she finds out what happened.

Seeing her like this, Gu Luoqi felt a bad feeling. "Who?" This made her a little nervous.

"Su Yan." Cheng Cheng's smile became more unrestrained, as if she were watching a show.

Gu Luoqi: "???"

A blank space flashed through her mind.

As expected, her intuition was right; anything that could elicit such a lewd smile from Xiao Chengzi could not be anything good.

"Let me describe it to you. Su Yan's princess carry back then was just amazing. Suddenly, I feel like I'm starting to agree with your previous judgment," Cheng Cheng continued, rambling on and on.

He's usually such a cool and aloof person, but now he's so excited he's like a completely different person.

Gu Luoqi was already feeling suffocated.

Cheng Cheng agreed with her judgment, which made her feel gratified, but that wasn't the point. The point was why Su Yan was there at the time.

"May I ask why Su Yan was there?"

"Oh, you seem to have forgotten that he's a member of the student council. He came to deliver statistics to the teacher," Cheng Cheng explained casually.

"Oh." Gu Luoqi looked resentful.

So far, she feels there's not much of a problem. She's already given it to him, and given their childhood friendship, it's normal for him to give it to her.

"And you have no idea how chaotic it was back then; you completely baffled everyone," Li Mingya interjected.

"Why?" Gu Luoqi was a little confused. She had just fainted, what was the big deal?

"No, everyone else faints during the run, that's normal. But you fainted inexplicably right at the finish line. Nobody realized what was happening and thought you had some kind of serious illness suddenly flared up." Cheng Cheng said with a smug look on her face.

"So don't tell me I lay on the ground for ages and no one reacted." Gu Luoqi's expression was rather unpleasant.

Haha, this is a total disaster.

Thankfully, she fainted and lost consciousness, otherwise she would have been incredibly embarrassed.

"Actually, it's not that bad, it's not that exaggerated." Li Mingya smiled, but Gu Luoxi didn't think much of it.

"Well, actually another reason is that the boys in our class also just did the 2,000-meter test, and their physical strength isn't that good, so..." Cheng Cheng didn't finish her sentence, but everyone understood.

Gu Luoxi can only blame her school's rules for being too outrageous; she can't blame anyone else.

Girls run 1000 meters, boys run 2000 meters—what kind of absurd rule is this?

Is it too late to transfer schools now?

"Are you sure Su Yan really carried me all the way here?" Gu Luoqi's eyes were full of doubt.

This wasn't due to a lack of confidence in Su Yan, but rather because she had been eating too much lately and had gained some weight, so she might not be feeling so relaxed.

System: Are you sure it's only some?

"Actually, it doesn't count. We took a break in the middle until someone realized we needed a stretcher." Cheng Cheng threw out another fact that Gu Luoxi found hard to accept.

Gu Luoxi: Great, now everyone knows I've gained weight.

That's outrageous, absolutely outrageous.

She touched the soft flesh on her stomach and realized it wasn't that serious.

It must be because Su Yan is too weak, it must be.

Seeing her disapproving expression, Cheng Cheng told Li Mingya that it was her own curiosity that led her to ask the question, and that she shouldn't blame her.

"Don't be so pessimistic. At least it fulfilled your dream of being carried in a princess carry by Su Yan. It should be a good thing." Cheng Cheng felt she had gone a bit too far and comforted him.

Of course, her words of comfort were of no use to Gu Luoxi, and instead elicited a terrible reaction.

"When did I ever have such a sophisticated dream?" Gu Luoqi asked, feeling somewhat embarrassed.

"You didn't say that when we watched idol dramas and those domineering CEO novels." Cheng Cheng's words were like knives now, each one deadly.

"Alright, please stop talking!" Gu Luoqi just wanted her to shut up.

She still cares about her reputation; she doesn't want to live on another planet, even though she has indeed started to have that thought now.
